–Pete Davidson is on the cover of Paper’s break the internet issue, in a photo that pokes fun at his BDE and rumoured…uh…endowments.

–RuPaul is on the cover of Vanity Fair, where he says “true drag really will never be mainstream. Because true drag has to do with seeing that this world is an illusion and that everything that you say you are and everything it says that you are on your driver’s licence, it’s all an illusion. Most people will never in their lives understand what that is. Because they don’t have the operating system to understand that duality.” Fair.

-In a surprising display of self-awareness, Scooter Braun calls himself the “bad guy” in his saga with Taylor Swift.

–Jennifer Garner spent 25 minutes looking for her car in a one-level parking garage. “I stopped to tie my shoe [here]…I should be on CSI: Miami” made me LOL.

–Brenda Song (who is in Dollface which just came to Crave and is soooo good) says she was ‘not Asian enough‘ to audition for Crazy Rich Asians. Director Jon M. Chu disagrees.

–Amy Schumer posted a photo of her hanging out with Jennifer Lawrence and Phoebe Waller-Bridge and I’m incandescently jealous.

–Emma Thompson fielded questions from children, who asked her who was her best onscreen kiss (“Meryl Streep’s a very good snogger. I had to snog her in Angels in America and she was method about it”) and what they should spend their pocket money on (“peppermint creams”).

-Buckingham Palace is bracing for an “imminent” summons from US investigators for Prince Andrew to give testimony about Jeffrey Epstein.

-The Independent Spirit Awards nominations are out and The Lighthouse and Uncut Gems are leading the way. Jennifer Lopez also got a best supporting actress nod for Hustlers.

–Amanda Palmer hired a freelancer to travel with her and cover her tour and wrote a whole Twitter thread about it as if she’s the first person to invent PR.

–Riley Keough landing the lead role in the Daisy Jones & The Six adaptation is great casting.

-The Paramount Laws, which prevent movie studios from block-booking features in the theaters they own, may be going away. This is very not good.

-Surprising but good news: Disney actually worked with indigenous Sámi people to make sure that Frozen 2 was culturally sensitive.

-DC has announced its next live-action series, Stargirl. The character will debut during the network’s upcoming superhero crossover event in Dec, and the show will air on The CW the day after episodes debut on DC’s streaming service.

-This is incredibly sad: Spirit of the West frontman John Mann passed away at 57. He was diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer’s Disease when he was 50.

-The paparazzi aren’t always bad. Courteney Cox‘s two dogs were rescued from traffic by a quick-on-his-feet paparazzo who was driving by.

-Love seeing the raves for Adam Driver‘s new movie The Report. Saw it at TIFF and it’s stuck with me.

-I will take any new Jane Austen adaptation you can give me thank you very much.

Cardi B Talks Farts and Family with Vogue

–Cardi B did 73 Questions with Vogue, and she really takes you on a journey. Culture somehow manages to stay sleeping during the whole thing while her mom talks about smelling her own farts, meeting Beyonce, loving Offset‘s penis, and her questions for Trump. It’s shot at her grandmother’s apartment in NYC, which is by far the most normal-looking place that Vogue has every done one of these.

-Sources say Brad Pitt and Arrested Development star Alia Shawkat are not dating. Wait, was that even a possibility?!

–Pete Davidson and Kaia Gerber were spotted kissing in public. Not enough people are talking about the fact that he is a grown ass 26 year old and she *just* turned 18.

–Helena Bonham Carter is on a promo tour for the new season of The Crown, and it’s been an absolute delight. On Colbert, she spilled the tea on her co-stars including Colin Firth (“talks too much”), Rihanna (“could never understand a word she said”) and Sacha Baron Cohen (“he has emotional issues”).

-The Grammy nominations are out. It was a good morning for Lizzo, Billie Eillish, Lil Nas X and Bon Iver. Not so much for Taylor Swift, Halsey, Solange Knowles, The Jonas Brothers and BTS.

-After that sinking ship of an interview, Prince Andrew says he’s quitting public life ‘for the foreseeable future’ amid the Epstein scandal. “It has become clear to me over the last few days that…my former association with Jeffrey Epstein has become a major disruption to my family’s work.”

-Meanwhile, People decided the best royal angle for their latest cover story is the William and Harry rift. Sure, Jan.

–Emilia Clarke says on the Game of Thrones set, Jason Momoa made sure directors didn’t take advantage of her during nude scenes and made sure she always had a robe between setups. “It’s only now that I realize how fortunate I was with that…because Jason had experience, he had done a bunch of stuff before coming on to this, he was like, ‘Sweetie, this is how it’s meant to be and this is how it’s not meant to be, and I’m going to make sure that’s the way it goes.”

-The Harriet screenwriter says a movie exec once suggested Julia Roberts should play Harriet Tubman. (Somewhere out there Scarlett Johansson is wondering why they didn’t think of her.)

–Robert Pattinson said he would pass the time in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia shooting The Lighthouse by reading sex shop Yelp reviews. “There were two pretty highly frequented sex shops…So many people would write about it and this is a town of maybe 400 people — well, maybe a little more than 400. But I could meet these people in the local shop if I wanted to.”

-He’s fresh off the disaster that was Lucy in the Sky, but Noah Hawley someone still managed to land a deal to write and direct the next Star Trek movie.

-In the latest Actors on Actors interview, Florence Pugh and Beanie Feldstein bond over Lizzie McGuire and That’s So Raven.

-Oof. I like a lot of Mimi Leder‘s work (she exec produced The Leftovers) but her dismal of the critical reception of The Morning Show is way off. “I thought there were a lot of Apple haters who just wanted Apple to fail. The reviews felt like an attack on Apple.” That would only make sense if critics panned all Apple shows, but every TV writer I follow seems to be in love with Dickinson.

–Jennifer Lopez will be hosting SNL in December (yay!), as will Scarlett Johansson (boo!).

-Um, is Harrison Ford doing a dog movie?!? (I know it’s based on Jack London’s book, but it’s still a goddamn dog movie.)

–Jennifer Lopez is on the cover of GQ’s Men of the Year issue (men’s mags are weird, yo) and talks about forgoing acting fees for Hustlers  (“I do things because I love them. I didn’t get paid a whole bunch of money for Hustlers. I did it for free and produced it. I bank on myself. That’s the Jenny From the Block. I do what I want, I do what I love”) and choosing to take on the Super Bowl halftime show (“I understand people not wanting to do it,” Lopez says. “Everybody has to make their own choices. They have to feel good about what they’re doing”).

-Not surprisingly, Jason Mamoa knows his way around a scrunchie.

-All of these Succession cast pics are making me feel things.

–Celine Dion shot down those tabloid rumours she’s dating her best friend Pepe Muñoz because the pair had been spotted holding hands. “He’s gay; calm down.”

–Halsey says she’s not pregnant; she just likes pancakes.

–Jennifer Aniston is new to Instagram and just hit 20 millions followers.

–Ian Somerhalder stars in Netflix’s new vampire drama, V Wars. I know someone who is in this! Fingers crossed it’s good.
