Demi Lovato Lets Go of Her Past

–Demi Lovato is on the cover of Harper’s Bazaar. In the candid interview, she talks about her ex Wilmer Valderrama getting engaged (“I’m really happy for him and I wish him nothing but the best, but we’re not in each other’s lives, haven’t spoken in a long time”), and how she’s no longer in contact with the Jonas Brothers or Selena Gomez (“I talk to Miley [Cyrus]. She’s awesome, and I love her to death and always will, always have. But I think she’s kind of the only one from that era that I still stay in touch with”).

-Alison Brie opens up about her battle with depression and body dysmorphia in the new issue of Women’s Health.

–Kate Beckinsale is apparently dating 22-year-old Canadian musician Goody Grace. God, I heart her.

–Bruce Willis is isolating with ex-wife Demi Moore, their three adult daughters and their partners. But Emma Heming, his current wife of 11 years and mother of his two young daughters, doesn’t seem to mind, posting on their photos “love and miss you guys.”

–Bob Iger has resumed his role as Disney’s CEO, and everyone’s questioning the timing.

–Amy Schumer revealed that she’s changed her son’s name. “Do you guys know that Gene, our baby’s name is officially changed? It’s now Gene David Fischer. It was Gene Attell Fischer, but we realized that we, by accident, named our son ‘Genital’.”

-I played Quiplash with friends over Zoom last night, and we were so much better at it than Jimmy Fallon and his guests.

-Even Anna Wintour is wearing trackpants these days, so don’t feel so bad about your work-from-home style, guys.

–Brad Pitt’s episode with the Property Brothers on Celebrity IOU aired last night on HGTV. In it, he helps them transform the garage of his longtime makeup artist, Jean. “She’s family, we’re like brother and sister. We bicker. We fight. If I’m going to be on the West side, I’ll often pit stop here, get a nap on the couch. Many people do. Jean’s just one of those nucleuses that we all orbit around,” he said.

-Grey’s Anatomy was going to kill off a major character in the season finale, but last week’s episode served as its hasty season finale since the show shut down production, so some actor gets to keep their job for a little while longer.

-Here’s our first look at Denis Villeneuve’s adaptation of Dune, starring Timothee Chalamet, Oscar Isaac and Zendaya.

–Ryan Reynolds shouted out the Ottawa neighbourhood he used to live in (Vanier) with donation to the food bank.

-EW’s photoshoot with the Supernatural guys to celebrate the show ending is very cute.

–Gwen Stefani is bored and has given Blake Shelton stripes in his mullet. I approve.

-They’re also dressing in matching outfits, which I approve of less.

–Meghan Markle is reportedly planning to relaunch her lifestyle blog The Tig and honestly I want nothing more.

-Meanwhile, she and Prince Harry have hired a former Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation staffer to head their non-profit.

-At one point does one become *too* invested in Joshua Jackson and Jodie Turner-Smith‘s relationship? Asking for a friend.

-The stars of Contagion (Matt Damon, Kate Winslet, Laurence Fishburne and Jennifer Ehle) teamed up with scientists at Columbia University’s Mailman School of Public Health to shoot PSAs about physical distancing.

-A woman filed a lawsuit against rapper French Montana, claiming he sexually assaulted her at a house party. She says he and his business partner Mansour Bennouna gave her a shot and she blacked out.

–Britney Spears says she was obviously just joking when she said she’d beaten Usain Bolt‘s sprint record.

-The world is a garbage fire, but doing this roundup of celebrities who are donating their time and money to support coronavirus relief made me feel a teeny bit better.

-Also making me feel better: Killing Eve will premiere two weeks ahead of schedule on Sunday, April 12 on CTV Drama.

-Ok, so I finally broke down and started watching Tiger King. I found the first episode kind of boring but then by the end of episode 2 I was hooked. This show is bananas.

–Jeremy Renner just released a new album. Oh goodie.

–Oscar Isaac appeared on Alan Doyle’s FB live to sing “Never Had” and it was very hot.

-I’ve listened to Dua Lipa’s new album three times already and am officially obsessed.

-Bruce Willis stars in the trailer for Survive the Night, which is what we’re all trying to do here, buddy!

Oscar Isaac Confirms Marriage To Elvira Lind

–Oscar Isaac has kept pretty mum about his marriage to Elvira Lind, but he opens up about it in the new issue of GQ: “At the time, right before it happened, my mom was ill, and so I saw her carrying my child, bathing my sick mom—seeing her do that, I just thought: I want to be with this person forever and ever.”

–George and Amal Clooney continue to be awesome, pledging $500K to the student-led gun-violence protest.

–Naomi Watts and Billy Crudup went public with their rumoured relationship at the BAFTAs over the weekend.

-Yay! Sterling K Brown is going to host SNL on March 10.

-Black Panther shredded box office records with its $218 Million holiday weekend opening, the biggest non-sequel film opening of all time. I adored it — I can’t remember the last superhero movie I saw in which I could immediately think of 5 side characters that I’d want to see a standalone movie about. There have been some incredible writing about it over this weekend, especially this New Yorker piece. I also liked this article about how it’s Marvel’s best movie, or how it’s the first superhero movie in a while that doesn’t fall apart in the third act.

-I also love how crazy supportive the cast is of each other.

-Meanwhile, Lupita Nyong’o and Michael B Jordan continue to flirt on social media and it’s giving me life!!

-The Walking Dead’s Lauren Cohan signed on for an ABC pilot. There’s still a possibility that the pilot won’t get picked up and she’s return to the show, but it doesn’t sound like she’s trying to play hardball or this is a negotiation tactic. AMC reportedly offered her “a modest salary increase,” she rejected it, and now she’s available for other gigs.

–Katie Holmes  will return to TV, playing an FBI agent on the new show from Ilene Chaiken, who produced The Handmaid’s Tale and The L Word. I’m surprised she ended up at Fox instead of a cable show or a streaming service.

-I can’t tell if these photos of Chris Martin and Dakota Johnson in Vancouver are staged, or if they just like to stare intently at each other while drinking smoothies…

-A vocal coach tried to make sense of Fergie‘s disastrous national anthem.

–Anna Wintour took the only person who makes her look downright chipper by comparison to a fashion show: The Queen.

-I like Aubrey Plaza and I only want the best for her, but I can’t do another season of Legion.

–Joel McHale says that when he was hosting The Soup, his E! bosses told him to go easier on the Kardashians.

-Not surprisingly, Justin Theroux had been spending his last months with Jennifer Aniston in the guest house.

-I had no idea that there was speculation that Janelle Monae and Tessa Thompson  may be dating, but I’m here for it!

–Natalie Portman’s response to the notion that #MeToo is ending men’s careers is great: “Let’s talk about the vast art trove we’ve lost by not giving women, people of color, people with disabilities, and the LGBTQ+ community opportunities — let’s talk about that loss for all of us in art. Let’s talk about that huge hole in our culture. I don’t want talk about ‘Isn’t it sad that this person who’s made 500 movies can’t make movies anymore?'”
