Stop Shipping Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt

–Jennifer Aniston threw a 50th birthday bash this weekend and the guest list was insane (George, Amal, Gwyneth, Reese, Sandra, Kate, Orlando, Katy, Demi, RDJ, Courteney, Ellen, etc.) but the guest that everyone’s buzzing about today is her ex-hubby Brad Pitt. Not surprisingly, people from her camp are already shooting down talk of a reconciliation, pointing out that they only chatted briefly and “they definitely aren’t dating or on that path. They are friendly, but that’s it.”

-God, I could watch this video of Anne Hathaway shading James Franco for hanging her out to dry at the Oscars on repeat for a month.

–Chris Pratt responded to Ellen Page‘s criticism of his church with a long-winded, poorly designed IG story.

-Congrats to Supergirl’s Melissa Benoist, who announced her engagement to former costar Chris Wood.

-Fleabag season 2 is starting in March.

-Hulu is delaying the third season of The Handmaid’s Tale until June, putting it out of Emmy contention. (They claim it’s not because of GoT, but come on.)

-Hulu also previewed the new Veronica Mars reboot, promising a more mature take.

-The official website for Captain Marvel (which is set in the 90s) looks like it was built on Angelfire and it’s total perfection!

-The BAFTAs took place in London this weekend, and Olivia Colman gave another perfect speech (“We’re gonna get so pissed later!”) while Cate Blanchett looked like she was collecting infinity stones.

–Trevor Noah‘s thoughts on the Liam Neeson debacle are worth a listen.

-As part of her cover story with Justin, Hailey Baldwin answered Vogue’s 73 questions. It’s awkwardly stiff.

–Chris Brown needs to stay the hell away from Cardi B. And, you know, everyone else.

-I really liked this profile on Roma’s Yalitza Aparicio, which challenges the fairy tale narrative that’s been building all season.

-Did Sean Penn really write a column about how Bradley Cooper should have been nominated for Best Director? Really?! It’s his FIRST movie! I would have rather seen Destroyer’s Karyn Kusama or Can You Ever Forgive Me?’s Marielle Heller get a nom before Cooper.

-Oscars is relegating four categories to commercial breaks, including editing and cinematography. You know, that things that actually make movies good.

-No surprise here: Bryan Singer‘s Red Sonja has been put on the back burner.

–Lin-Manuel Miranda will guest star on Brooklyn Nine-Nine. He basically tweeted that show into survival, so this is lovely.

-It looks like Warner Bros is actually going to pull Friends from Netflix for their own streaming app.

-Last night during the Grammys, we got our first look at Will Smith as the blue genie in Disney’s live-action adaptation of Aladdin — and it’s really, really bad. The teaser launched a million Arrested Development jokes.

-Ok, so I might have listened to Ariana’s new song 287 times today. What can I say? It was a rough week.

–Sophie Turner revealed a one of the hardest parts of starring in Game of Thrones: “For the first few seasons I was allowed to wash my hair because I was an aristocratic young girl, but toward season five they started asking me to not wash my hair and it was really disgusting.”

–Justin Beiber and Hailey Baldwin have sent save the date cards for their wedding celebration.

-Sony has finally (FINALLY!) cut ties with R Kelly. Their RCA Records label has dropped him on the heels of the Lifetime documentary.

-Also, a former music label intern is accusing him of sexually abusing her as a teenager, which she’ll talk about on tonight’s Dateline.

-Arrow’s 150th episode sounds… kind of funny? Fine, I’m back in.

–Nic Pizzolatto and HBO are reportedly fighting over the True Detective season 3 finale. Has there ever been someone who needs to just get out of his own way more than this guy?

–Mariah Carey‘s war with her ex-assistant is insane. Blackmail! Secret recordings! NDAs! Pee!

-It’s interesting that Netflix considers its biggest competition not HBO, but Fortnite.

–Kumail Nanjiani and Issa Rae are starring in a rom-com together and I’m here for it!

-On the Graham Norton Show, they aired an old clip of Timothée Chalamet rapping about math and it was amazing. The also aired a clip of 10-year-old Saoirse Ronan winning a radio contest.

-According to Vulture, David Letterman recently interviewed Kanye West for the second season of his Netflix talk show. I don’t want to hear from either of those dudes so that’s a definite skip.

–Natalie Portman is the latest celeb to push for inclusion riders in Hollywood contracts.

-This is an interesting look at how Spotify’s revenue model makes it impossible for mid-level artists to be fairly compensated.

-Bless Twitter shippers for alerting me to the fact that Karen Page shows up in episode 11 of the new season of The Punisher. I can just skip to that, right?

Priyanka Chopra Opens Up About Her Relationship With Nick Jonas

-It’s a big week for Priyanka Chopra. Not only is she getting married in two days, but she also landed on the new cover of Vogue (marking the first Indian woman to be on Vogue America’s cover). In the joint interview with Nick Jonas, she talks about how their first date was “too respectful” (“We hung out for a couple of hours. He patted my back before he left”) and talks about letting the public in on relationship details (“I’ve had that rule my whole life: Never publicly acknowledge a relationship. Ever. What is happening? I’ve not known myself like this. This guy turned me into such a girl! If I could blush, I’d be tomato red right now”).

–Priyanka and Nick‘s wedding guest list reportedly includes Armie Hammer, Lupita Nyong’o, and Dwayne “the Rock” Johnson.

-EW released their Entertainers of the Year covers, which included covers featuring the Crazy Rich Asians and Black Panther ladies, as well as Cardi B and Darren Criss. They also released video interviews with some of their entertainers. Great job, Baranski!

-The girl who posted the Michael B Jordan faked missed connection ended up going to the Creed 2 premiere, and MBJ even tweeted about it. She’s now my hero.

–Rachel McAdams has stayed pretty mum about her new baby, but in a new interview with the Sunday Times she confirmed that she had a baby boy back in April: “I’m having more fun being a mom than I’ve ever had. Everything about it is interesting and exciting and inspiring to me. Even the tough days, there’s something delightful about them.”

-In a new interview, Kate Beckinsale says she is open to the idea of more kids: “I definitely would [consider more children], but then I think, Oh God, I annihilated my 20s and I suddenly get a taste of freedom and annihilate myself again? But I am open to seeing what happens.”

-In more baby talk, Hailey Baldwin graces Vogue Arabia’s two December covers, and talks about wanting kids with hubby Justin Bieber. “I love kids and I can’t wait to have my own.I would say now that’s a closer reality.”
