Madonna’s Bathtub Diaries

-Of all the weird videos celebs are posting while self-isolating, this clip of Madonna in a milk bath is the weirdest (so far).

This is what I always think about when I see videos like that. The poor assistants!

-Meanwhile,  John Boyega is doing god’s work by posting this video of Oscar Isaac.

Sophie Turner’s subtle drag of Evangeline Lilly was wonderful.

Harvey Weinstein has reportedly been placed into isolation in a New York prison after testing positive for COVID-19.

-Barbados’ PM says Rihanna has offered to purchase ventilators worth a total $700,000 US for Barbados. Her foundation is also donating $5m to help fight the virus.

Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos are also donating $1M toward relief efforts.

-In other ‘celebs doing good’ news, Britney Spears is asking her followers to DM her so she can help them with anything they need during quarantine, including diapers and groceries.

Rita Wilson nailing ‘Hip Hop Hooray’ while she and husband Tom Hanks are in coronavirus quarantine was not the content that I was expecting…but I don’t hate it.

-This weekend, a comedian tweeted “Right now we all need a little kindness. You know, like Ellen Degeneres always talks about! She’s also notoriously one of the meanest people alive. Respond to this with the most insane stories you’ve heard about Ellen being mean & I’ll match every one w/ $2 to @LAFoodBank”. Not surprisingly for anyone who follows blind items, the thread blew up.

Patrick Stewart is out here reading sonnets to make us all feel better. It’s working.

Lena Dunham says she’s spending her social distancing time writing an interactive romance novel, as if we’re not all suffering enough.

-Because we all need a distraction, here’s a very good profile on Issa Rae in advance of the new season of Insecure on HBO.

David Harbour and Lily Allen (aka the couple you always forget are a couple) are sparking marriage rumors.

-Speaking of secret marriages, according to Us Weekly Michelle Williams and her fiancé/baby daddy Thomas Kail have tied the knot.

-In case you missed all the Taylor Swift/Kanye West drama this weekend — does this mean we all owe her an apology?

Shania Twain says music executives once warned her that women would feel threatened because she was dressing too sexy: “It was just a little bit scary and new, and there was a lot of unknown to it… People thought I was going to get rejected by the public.”

Simon Rex says the British tabloids offered him $70,000 to lie about hooking up with his former costar, Meghan Markle. “Nothing happened. We never even kissed. We hung out once in a very non-dated way. She was just someone I had met on a TV show and we got lunch. That was the extent of it.”

Ben Affleck and Ana de Armas continue to keep the paps employed.

-Everyone’s freaking out about the fact that Jlo’s home looks just like the house in Parasite.

Liam Hemsworth, John Malkovich and Vince Vaughn star in the Arkansas trailer.

Celebs Sing, We Cringe

Gal Gadot got a bunch of celebrities to join her to sing “Imagine” — and the response was probably not what they all were expecting. As many, many people have pointed out, a better use of these celebs’ time would have been to donate (or encourage donations) for medical supplies or food banks or the scores of people who are being laid off these days.

-Speaking of donating medical supplies, TV doctor dramas The Resident, Grey’s Anatomy, Station 19 and The Good Doctor are donating the masks and gowns from their props departments to real hospitals for use.

Kumail Nanjiani and wife Emily Gordon are also doing something useful: they’re starting a podcast to raise money for various charities that help those affected by this quarantine.

Ben Affleck and Ana de Armas look all loved up while on a quick coffee run in LA. I can’t imagine adding a quarantine to a new relationship, but so far they seem to be staying strong.

Liam Gallagher is pushing Noel to join him for a Oasis reunion charity gig. Is it possible it took the world being on fire for these two to reunite?

-It’s been a weird day for Lost alums. Evangeline Lilly posted on Instagram that she won’t self-quarantine, saying “Just dropped my kids off at gymnastics camp. They all washed their hands before going in. They are playing and laughing. #businessasusual”. When people called her out in the comments, she replied “Some people value their lives over freedom, some people value freedom over their lives. We all make our choices…Where we are right now feels a lot too close to Marshall Law [sic] for my comfort already, all in the name of a respiratory flu.” She also implied it was all a big conspiracy, saying “There’s ‘something’ every election year.” Meanwhile, her father — who has stage 4 cancer — is living with her. 😬

-Meanwhile, her former Lost costar Daniel Dae Kim has tested positive for coronavirus — and used his announcement to call out discrimination: “Yes, I’m Asian, and yes I have coronavirus, but I did not get it from China. I got it in America. In New York City. And despite what some political leaders want to call it, I don’t consider the place where it’s from as important as the people who are sick and dying.”

Jimmy Fallon is shooting his show at home and couldn’t get through last night’s monologue because his children were crawling all over him.

Simon Pegg and Nick Frost shot a Shaun of the Dead-themed coronavirus PSA.

-Pose star Angelica Ross posted a cute photo of herself and her new boyfriend on Twitter. But then someone who knows him pointed out that he seems to be living a double life. She later tweeted, “The internet is AMAZING. I’ve been talking to the mother of his son and fiancé all morning. #PlotTwist!”

-Last night’s Survivor was insane. Actually insane. I can’t believe I’m not only watching this show again, but loving it this hard.

Never Have I Ever, a new Netflix comedy from Mindy Kaling, just got a trailer.

Ana de Armas Is In Deep

ana de Armas vogue

Ana de Armas is on the cover of Vogue Spain, in which her rumoured boyfriend Ben Affleck gushes about her talent. “The first time we read the scenes together, it became pretty clear she was going to do something exceptional with a very complex role,” he says of their work on upcoming thriller Deep Water.

-Meanwhile, she posted the photos that Ben took of her on the beach. Are they supposed to be this blurry?

Amanda Bynes has reunited with her fiancé and announced that they’re expecting a baby.

Chrissy Teigen is defending Vanessa Hudgens after her “dumb” coronavirus, tweeting “Sometimes people, especially famous people, are gonna say really stupid s–t. & so are you. And they, and u, will learn from it & hopefully their history says they’re good. It’s Ok. And at the same time, wow they really had a dumb f—– moment. But u don’t have [to] ruin their lives.”

Kevin Bacon‘s “6 degrees” posts to encourage social distancing is very good.

-I’m loving all the group chats TV casts seem to be having during social distancing. The Superstore cast had their wrap dinner via FaceTime, while the Criminal Minds cast had a virtual hangout.

-A bored Seth Rogen got stoned, watched Cats, freaked out — and live-tweeted the whole thing.

-People are going stir-crazy, which probably led to Oprah‘s name trending due to a crazy and untrue rumour about her being arrested in a child sex ring.

Jennifer Ehle posted video of her reading Pride & Prejudice and it’s all I’ve ever wanted.

Robert Pattinson wants to remind you that Twilight was weird as f*ck. “Even before Twilight, I was doing weird stuff. And to be honest, I always thought Twilight was pretty weird. It’s really just the kind of marketing that made it mainstream. If you look at any interview I did, I would be pushing the chewing through placenta, any element which I could make gross, like I’d push and push and push it to the front. But you know you can’t compete with one guy against the whole marketing department going, ‘It’s a romantic odyssey, it’s beautiful.’ It’s like, ‘No, it’s disgusting [laughs].'”

-One of my very favourite things is the Austin 100, NPR’s annual streaming list of 100 songs you should check out from artists playing SXSW. Now that the fest is cancelled, it’s even more important to give these bands the lift they’re losing out on.

-Little Fires Everywhere dropped its first three episodes on Hulu early! Joshua Jackson announced the news in a super cute photo.

-Also, Jodie Turner-Smith tweeted “objectifying my husband on the internet is my kink and i thought you guys knew this by now” and I love her so much.

Brandon Routh continues to use his exit interviews to make it known that he was NOT happy about leaving Legends of Tomorrow.

-Speaking of Legends cast members, here’s a short film Caity Lotz wrote and directed.

Jeffrey Dean Morgan plays a man hunting for his daughter’s killer in The Postcard Killer trailer.
