Beyonce’s Age Mystery Deepens

A post shared by Beyoncé (@beyonce) on

-So actually how old is Beyonce? Her dad is making us question our assumption that she’s 34 (which frankly was always a bit suspect. Her being the same age as Britney Spears never really sat right).

Shonda Rhimes continues to turn ABC into her own personal network (which may not be a bad thing). She just sold a Romeo and Juliet sequel series to them (which may be a bad thing).

-One of the great things about fashion designers directing movies is they really know how to make actors look their best. Exhibit A: Jake Gyllanhaal in Tom Ford’s new movie.

Gwyneth Paltrow published an article on GOOP yesterday about how bras cause cancer and everyone in the medical community is now noping her hard.

Adele will bless us/torture us with her new album on November 20 — and the first single comes out tomorrow. That gives you just under 24 hours to fail painfully in and out of love so you’ll feel the full impact.

-Knowing Kate Hudson is staying mum, Ellen DeGeneres confronted Nick Jonas about those romance rumors.

Jeremy Renner tweeted following his pay gap controversy, and it’s complete nonsense. Seriously, I understand those words separately but together? Nah.

-Meanwhile, Anthony Mackie stepped in it today by saying he doesn’t think the Black Panther movie needs a black director. I mean, as a working actor I get why he’s not trying to piss off people who could hire him in the future, but maybe just avoid answering those questions? Because his answer is wrong. Basically, all Avengers actors should probably stop giving interviews. (Except for Mark Ruffalo of course. He’s woke.)

-On the plus side, Daniel Craig called James Bond a misogynist, so there’s that.

-Here are the best answers from Bill Murray’s Reddit AMA.  (None of them include confirmation of those Jenny Lewis romance rumours, unfortunately.)

-Here’s new footage from the new season of Shameless, a show I kind of fell back in love with last year.

Marty McFly and Doc Brown’s reunion on Jimmy Kimmel last night was brilliant. Stick around for the Fox interview clips that run after.

-Watch the trailer for Aziz Ansari‘s new Netflix series Master of None, which is being described as a cross between Louie and Girls.

Jeremy Renner: “It’s Not My Job” to Help Female Costars Negotiate Equal Pay

jeremy-renner-remy-martin

Jeremy Renner still shouldn’t be allowed to give interviews. When asked about fellow American Hustle actor Bradley Cooper‘s recent vow to help his female costars negotiate their salaries, Renner sniffed “that’s not my job.” Also, he said this when he was on a press tour for a booze brand. Is that his job? Ugh. Just go back to flipping houses and only reading the parts of the script that you’re in, Hawkeye.

-Hold the phone. Jenny Lewis and Bill Murray are dating now?!? WHAT.

-In other weird relationship news, Henry Cavill is reportedly dating a 19-year-old college freshman. Not so super, Superman.

Anna Kendrick on Billy on the Street is delightful. She really gets into the head of Katy Perry’s cat!

Sandra Bullock is denying those rumours that she recently adopted another child, saying “There’s only one adopted child in my household.” Weirdly worded, but ok.

-Watch Andrew Garfield try to answer Buzzfeed’s questions while putting together an IKEA chair.

Adele wrote a letter to fans about her new album, saying “Sorry it took so long, but you know, life happened.”

-It’s official: Chris Rock will host the next Oscars.

Aaron Paul wasn’t the only celeb  to celebrate Back to the Future day, but he was certainly the cutest.

Kate Hudson is still not going to answer your questions about sexing Nick Jonas, mmm-kay?

-Yikes. Yahoo says they lost $42 million from Community and their two other original series.

-NBC  is proving yet again that they’ve run out of ideas by planning a Cruel Intentions TV show. It will follow Sebastian and Annette‘s son. NOPE.

-There’s a reason this Jurassic World deleted scene was deleted.

Grantland’s feature on Jan Hooks is a heartbreakingly wonderful portrait of a complicated, brilliant woman.

-What was Blake Lively‘s point with staging this pap opp? Just to show us that she can coordinate her outfit with her baby’s blanket??

Beyonce and Nicki Minaj put on a raunchy performance of “Feeling Myself” at last night’s Tidal event.

-Meanwhile, Beyonce gritting her teeth and saying “stop it” to her assistant is giving me life.

Amy Schumer is shooting down that talk of her stealing jokes.

Natalie Portman gets her Western on in the new trailer for Jane’s Got a Gun.

-I love Jennifer Lawrence (because I’m a living, breathing human on Earth) but every time I see a new Joy trailer, I can’t help but think this role should be played by an actress in her forties instead.

Shocking: Zooey Deschanel’s Baby Name Is Quirky

Zooey Deschanel and her husband Jacob Pechenik have named their daughter Elsie Otter. In real life.

Jaden Smith is straight up trolling us now.

-Even Mulder is starting to have his doubts in The X Files’ new trailer (which, unlike yesterday’s promos, seems official).

Bill Murray showed up on Jimmy Kimmel Live looking like this last night, for reasons unknown.

-And here I thought The Royal We news was going to be the biggest thing to happen to Lauren Graham this week, and then came the Gilmore Girls revival news. I’m not quite sure how I feel about this. I love love love that show (and not just because my review was blurbed on the DVD box set!), but I’m not sure they’ll be able to capture the magic of the original. I adore this line from the NYT article: “Netflix has become a digital ‘Peter Pan’: If you clap hard enough and believe, your beloveds never have to die.”

-Like the rest of us, Amy Adams wishes she was cool enough to hang out with Amy Schumer and Jennifer Lawrence.

Missy Peregrym‘s farewell to the Rookie Blue cast is really quite sweet.

Gerard Butler was at the Jays game last night? I’m guessing he wasn’t sitting in the nosebleeds like us.

Kanye West surprised the internet with these two semi-new, really nostalgic tracks.

Drake surprised the internet with a new video — and made us all appreciate his sweater game.

-Slate’s interviews with writers/showrunners about what it’s like to be a POC in Hollywood is a fascinating read.

Lena Dunham launched a new podcast called Women of the Hour, where she’ll speak with Emma Stone, Janet Mock, June Squibb (!!!), Zadie Smith, and more.

Ryan Sweeting is asking Kaley Cuoco for spousal support following their divorce news.

-There was a shakeup at SNL today when Weekend Update anchor Colin Jost stepped down as head writer. Is this because he someone made Amy Schumer unfunny?

-I still have no idea what The Force Awakens is going to be about, but the new trailer is pretty damn fun. Daisy Ridley and John Boyega’s reactions video to the trailer are also awesome.

-This Beyond the Sea featurette shows Brangelina getting ready for a night out. If the entire film is just two hours of this, I’d still watch.
