FKA twigs Accuses Shia LaBeouf of ‘Relentless Abuse’ and Sexual Battery

-Whoa. FKA twigs has filed a lawsuit against Shia LaBeouf, her former boyfriend, accusing him of sexual battery, assault and infliction of emotional distress. She says last Valentine’s Day, after returning from a trip where she woke up and he was choking her, he removed his seatbelt while speeding toward Los Angeles and threatened to crash unless she professed her love for him. When they stopped at a gas station, she says he assaulted her, throwing her against the car while screaming in her face before forcing her back into the car. Karolyn Pho, another of LaBeouf’s exes, described similarly tumultuous experiences in the lawsuit. In an email to NYT, LaBeouf said “I have no excuses for my alcoholism or aggression, only rationalizations. I have been abusive to myself and everyone around me for years. I have a history of hurting the people closest to me. I’m ashamed of that history and am sorry to those I hurt. There is nothing else I can really say.”

I’m gonna work, I’ve got great friends, my life is full, I’m doing well.’ And I didn’t know how un-full it was until I met Amal.” He also talks about a brutal motorcycle accident he had when shooting Catch-22 (“When I hit the ground my mouth—I thought all my teeth were broken out. But it was glass from the windshield”), and why he prefers to watch others get into online fights (“I have much more fun watching Chrissy Teigen. Somebody steps into her world and you go, ‘Oh, I wouldn’t do that, dude.’ It’s so much fun. Like somebody who thinks they’re really smart, and you just go, ‘Ugh, dude. You brought a knife to a gunfight.'”)
