–Mariah Carey upgraded her infamous “I don’t know who that is” when talking about her ex, James Packer, and it was glorious.

–Justin Trudeau hung out with the cast of X Men in Montreal. James McAvoy fanboying is a wonderful thing.

–Colin Trevorrow probably won’t suffer the same Star Wars fate as Phil Lord and Chris Miller.

-Glee’s Chris Colfer claims he was visited by an alien, who was insanely cute.

-I really liked this interview with TV’s best music supervisors about how they picked their Emmy submissions.

–Robert Pattinson plans a heist in the trailer for Good Time. The accent is tripping me up, but critics at Cannes went crazy for his performance in this.

–Jesse Williams and his wife of nearly five years Aryn Drake-Lee are splitting. Dammit. They were my gold standard couple for ‘incredibly hot-looking actor with gorgeous (but in a totally normal way) spouse’.

–Salma Hayek thought her husband was having an affair a couple of days ago — so she used it as a funny anecdote on The Tonight Show.

-If you’re famous and you say something dumb, at least apologize and own up to it like Chris Pratt did.

-If there’s a TV writer’s strike, these are the only 8 shows that will air their seasons without interruption — and they are all on streaming services or cable.

-It’s very cute that Selena Gomez attended her former Wizard of Waverly Place costar’s wedding.

–Katherine Heigl‘s new movie debuted to a mere $4.8M, marking a career worst. It’s almost unfortunate because I keep reading good things about the film’s ending and how it completely upends the obsessive woman archetype.

–Serena Williams has no time for racist remarks about her unborn child.

–Carrie Coon is having a moment (and yet still masters the art of dodging drunk people in NYC). Are you watching The Leftovers? It’s kind of perfect this season. Last night’s episode had the guy from Perfect Strangers (as himself) and instead of just playing it for laughs it was kind of heartbreaking.

-Some very bad fashion choices were made at Marie Claire’s Fresh Faces event.

-Great news: the new NBC comedy that Tina Fey is producing, Great News, is getting great reviews.

-Glee’s Naya Rivera may be dating David Spade? What??

-The first promo for ABC’s Dirty Dancing remake has dropped. Judging by the tweets from all the critics I follow who got screeners last week, don’t expect much.

-It tickles me that the network that’s running Jason Alexander‘s new show is sending out his headshot with the press release. Clowns have worn less makeup.

–Tom Cruise is doing his extra-intense thing in the international trailer for The Mummy.

–Bryce Dallas Howard wasn’t great at playing Pyramid on The Tonight Show – much to the chagrin of teammate Michael Strahan.

–Jennifer Aniston and Kate Hudson go to a “movement guru” and I need to know everything about this STAT.

–Matthew McConaughey says Camila Alves rejected him at the start of their relationship. She was probably just remembering his performance in The Wedding Planner…

-Wonderfalls’ Caroline Dhavernas is in a new TV series? Yes please!

–Jessica Biel also landed a new TV series, which seems like the right career move for her.

–Drew Barrymore goes full zombie in the first full trailer for Netflix’s Santa Clarita Diet. I really like the campy tone of this, but am hoping they don’t go too overboard with the gore.

-Speaking of Netflix’s trailers, here’s the new one for Bob Odenkirk‘s Girlfriend’s Day.

-Also, Jerry Seinfeld just signed a huge Netflix deal.

-Wait, neither Skylar Astin and Ben Platt are in Pitch Perfect 3? I’m not sure I’m ok with this.

–Riz Ahmed, Matthew Rhys, Tracey Ullman, Corey Stoll, Rita Wilson and pretty much everyone else in Hollywood will appear in Girls’ last season.

–Lena Dunham debuted a animated film about Planned Parenthood’s history called 100 Years, narrated by Meryl Streep, Jennifer Lawrence, America Ferrera, Constance Wu, Mindy Kaling, and more.

-Meanwhile, as much as I’m not always a fan of Chelsea Handler, I really liked her essay on why she’s leading the Women’s March in Park City this weekend. I’m marching. Are you? For sister march information in your city, click here.

-I dig that the AV Club is paying tribute to Popular, Ryan Murphy‘s first (and best?) series. I needed this reminder since Arrow has somehow managed to dull my love of Carly Pope.

-Ohhhhh…a new Spoon song.

-This is nice: if No Tomorrow and Frequency end up getting canceled, the CW promises they’re wrap up each show’s stories with webisodes. I don’t watch either, but I like this trend.

-Like many, many TV costars, Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman probably don’t like each other very much. Whenever I read anything about Freeman I’m reminded of this terrible EW interview. I probably wouldn’t like him very much IRL either.

-Meanwhile, I don’t watch Sherlock but man is the internet angry about that finale.

–Cate Blanchett tackles 13(!) different roles in the new Manifesto trailer.
