–Zendaya covers the September issue of InStyle, styled by Law Roach and wearing Pyer Moss, Hanifa, Romeo Hunte and Christopher John Rogers. Roach said he only used clothing, shoes and jewels from black designers for the shoot.

–In the story, Zendaya talks to Black Lives Matter co-founder Patrisse Cullors about her activism. “I’m an actress, but I’m also just a person who has a heart and wants to do the right thing.”

-Zendaya’s rumoured boyfriend Jacob Elordi is interviewed in Variety, and talked about not yet seeing Kissing Booth 2, and the attention surrounding Deep Water costars Ben Affleck and Ana de Armas (“I feel so bad for them. Let them walk their bloody dog”).

-E! News is reporting that Jennifer Garner has split from John Miller after almost 2 years together. In (possibly related?) other news, she was spotted hanging out with Alias costar Bradley Cooper and his daughter on a beach in Malibu. (This is a much better rumour than the one about Bradley dating Anna Wintour, which is somehow circulating again.)

-Meanwhile, Bradley was spotted grabbing dinner with Brad Pitt and Leonardo DiCaprio.

-In a clip for the new season of Selling Sunset, Chrishell Stause reveals This Is Us star Justin Hartley told her via text that he had filed for divorce. “I found out because he texted me that we were filed. Forty-five minutes later, the world knew … I talked to him right after ‘cause I thought that must be a joke, but that was kind of the end of the communication.”

–Jason Momoa had wife Lisa Bonet‘s old Mustang restored. I can’t tell if this is just an elaborate ad for Ford or not, but it’s sweet enough that I can’t seem to bring myself to care.

–George and Amal Clooney have donated $100k to Lebanese charities helping provide aid in Beirut.

-I’m very bummed that High Fidelity starring Zoe Kravitz has been canceled after just one season.

-Three of Bon Appétit’s Test Kitchen stars of color are departing the video channel after failed contract negotiations. Priya Krishna, Rick Martinez, and Sohla El-Waylly will no longer be in Test Kitchen videos, they announced on Instagram. How do you have a very public reckoning with how your treat your non-white employees, and STILL try to lowball them? Krishna mentioned in her statement: “Some of my colleagues in the test kitchen have been publicly supportive but privately complicit, even helping to interview BIPOC video candidates they know will be underpaid.”

-Amazon has ordered a TV adaptation of A League of Their Own, co-created by and starring Broad City’s Abbi Jacobson. Great, now do Pitch!

–Taylor Swift has confirmed that Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively‘s daughter’s name is Betty, which I like a lot.

–Keke Palmer is set to host the 2020 MTV Video Music Awards at the end of the month. I wish covid didn’t mess this up by making the show more subdued than it usually is, cause she deserves a big moment.

-Music producer Detail, who has worked with Beyonce, Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj and Jennifer Lopez, was arrested and charged with 15 counts of sexual assault and five additional felony assault-related charges.

-This is huge, great news: Candyman’s Nia DaCosta will direct the Captain Marvel sequel.

-What’s going on with YouTubers this week? First Jake Paul’s house is raided by the FBI, and now Alan and Alex Stokes have been arrested and charged with felony false imprisonment and misdemeanor swatting.

–Bella Hadid called out cops who weren’t wearing masks.

-It seems the racists can’t tolerate even mainstream darling Oprah finally calling out white privilege.

-This is a very good point about all of the celebrities who are posting support for Ellen Degeneres: their posts sound like they came from a digital media kit. The fact that so many of them reference exact amounts of what she’s contributed to charity is suspicious.

-The release date for Bill & Ted 3 has been moved again — this time up a week. Makes sense, as the following week is suddenly looking busy with Tenet and Mulan duking it out in what is sure to be a very closely watched battle pitting theatres vs streaming.

-A teaser is out for A24’s Zola, a thriller born from a Twitter thread about a Hooters waitress who meets a girl who asks if she wants to make some extra money stripping, and then they end up on a roadtrip to Florida that involves prostitution, pimps, a bipolar boyfriend, kidnapping, and murder. It is a master class in storytelling.

-Also, A24 correcting People’s headline about the teaser is priceless.

-As if she hasn’t given us enough with Black is King, Beyonce also posted three new photos today on Instagram.

–Nicole Kidman, Bobby Cannavale and Melissa McCarthy are set to star in Hulu’s limited series Nine Perfect Strangers, which is based on Liane Moriarty’s latest book.

-HBO has shared the first teaser trailer for David E. Kelley and Susanne Bier’s The Undoing, starring Hugh Grant and Nicole Kidman.

-Showtime has debuted the first clip for Bryan Cranston’s limited legal drama Your Honor.

-A trip to meet the parents becomes a horror show in the trailer for Charlie Kaufman‘s i’m thinking of ending things.

Chloë Sevigny Poses For The Cut 3 Weeks Before Her Due Date

–Chloë Sevigny, who is 9 months pregnant, shows off her baby bump in a nude shoot for The Cut.

–Jimmy Fallon and Kate Hudson reminisced about almost dating after Almost Famous, with her telling him: “You gave me no indication…If you would have actually made a move, I would have totally gone there.” Nicole Kidman also once told him that he’d missed his shot.

–Rob Lowe says that when he and Tom Cruise were cast in The Outsiders, they were flown to NYC and put up at The Plaza, and 18-year-old Tom went “ballistic” at having to share a room.

–Olivia Munn says Bryan Singer walked off the set of X-Men: Apocalypse in Montreal to fly to Los Angeles for approximately 10 days to deal with a “thyroid issue,” leaving the production to scramble without a director.

-I really can’t handle any stories about Jeff Goldblum being problematic right now.

-Someday I hope we get the full story about how Archie Panjabi and Julianna Margulies‘ feud on The Good Wife got so bad, the show had to film their final scene separately and use special effects to splice them together. But today is not that day. When asked about the rumored behind-the-scenes tensions in an interview with The New York Times, Panjabi demured, telling the interviewer, “You’re very naughty, Jessica.” When pressed, the actress very tactfully answered: “I completely understand why everyone asks about it. Everybody I meet asks me about it, in some roundabout way…I’ve said what I’m going to say.”

-What will TV and movie productions look like once filming resumes? Studios are talking about closed sets, airline-style packaged meals, fewer location shoots, and shooting sex scenes with actors separately and then bringing it together in post-production. Maybe Archie Panjabi and Julianna Margulies could give them pointers?

–Lea Michele is expecting her first child. Seeing how she’s still posting about her wedding, I’m already cringing at what her Instagram feed will look like in the coming months.

–Brian Austin Green and Megan Fox appear to be quarantining separately.

–Lilly Singh is getting some flak for cultural appropriation after posting this dancehall video, seeing as she has no Caribbean heritage.

-Facebook announced the star-studded lineup for its upcoming event, Graduation 2020: Facebook and Instagram Celebrate the Class of 2020. Oprah will deliver the commencement speech, Awkwafina, Jennifer Garner, Lil Nas X and Simone Biles are also set to speak, while Miley Cyrus will perform “The Climb.”

–John Krasinski is also planning something for the graduating class of 2020 on his next episode of Some Good News.

-The cast reunions continue. The actors from Goonies got together for the Center for Disaster Philanthropy, while the cast of Melrose Place is set to reunite to support the Actors Fund.

-One thing I love about the CW is they seem to really encourage their actresses to try directing. Supergirl’s Melissa Benoist directs the May 3 episode.

-Don’t you hate when you forget about your giant penis art? Phoebe Waller-Bridge was on The Graham Norton Show and showed off the ‘wall of penises’ prop from season 1 of Fleabag. “You know when you just put something down at your house, and then you don’t think about it for ages? It just becomes invisible to you, and you forget that you have 12 massive penises at your front door. And this delivery guy came and I just completely forgot. He kind of had to like bring something in and he was like knocking against the cocks as he was coming in and I suddenly saw them again for the first time in ages. -With everything that’s been going on in the world, news about the Pentagon releasing UFO footage has been lost in the shuffle. Even more lost in the shuffle? The fact that the footage first surfaced thanks to Blink-182’s Tom DeLonge.

-In the new trailer for Homecoming season 2, Janelle Monáe tries to unlock the secrets of her identity. Is that Joan Cusack?!

-Now this is a cover! In Lizzo‘s Rolling Stone interview, she talks about being a body-positive role model: “I’ve come to terms with body dysmorphia and evolved. The body-positive movement is doing the same thing. We’re growing together, and it’s growing pains, but I’m just glad that I’m attached to something so organic and alive.”

-In happy news, Channing Tatum and Jessie J have officially reunited.

-In unhappy news, Lena Waithe and wife Alana Mayo have split just two months after announcing their marriage — and the rumours around the breakup are messy. There’s chatter that Waithe was buying Instagram models expensive gifts, and talk that she was spotted looking cozy at the Golden Globes with Cynthia Erivo.

-Ousted Grammy CEO Deborah Dugan is not going down without a fight. She appeared on the Today Show with some explosive allegations, including vote fixing and sexual harassment. She’s also suing the Recording Academy. Did I mention the Grammys are this Sunday?

–John Krasinski had a sweet Office reunion.

–Tina Fey is creating a movie adaptation of her Broadway musical Mean Girls — which started as a movie to begin with.

-Ever since I saw that episode of Succession set at the Davos World Economic Forum, I’ve assumed it was a week filled with weird rich people doing weird rich people things. This video of Julianne Hough receiving an orgasmic physical therapy treatment is doing nothing to change my mind.

-Despite our wishful thinking, it doesn’t seem like there’s much going on between A$AP Rocky and Rihanna.

–Brad Pitt says he can no longer remember the first rule of Fight Club — which is why he’s talking to the press about Fight Club.

–Grimes has created social media accounts for her unborn baby with Elon Musk and posted a clip of a 3D baby speaking directly into the camera about a impending apocalypse. God, I’d love to see her baby shower registry.

–Angelina Jolie has signed on to produce a BBC Show designed to help kids spot fake news.

-I love that Bon Appétit’s Claire Saffitz is big enough to be on Fallon!

-After leaving her nine-year relationship with Austin Butler, Vanessa Hudgens appears to be moving on with LA Laker Kyle Kuzma.

-A sequel to Marvel’s billion-dollar-grossing Captain Marvel is officially in the works, and the studio is looking for a female director.

–Gwyneth Paltrow seems as embarrassed by her vagina candle as we are.

-Oh boy. Oprah‘s problematic book club pick keeps picking up steam. American Dirt is being made into a film by problematic Clint Eastwood‘s production company and written by the screenwriter of the problematic Blood Diamond.

–Anne Hathaway plays a journalist in trouble in the trailer for The Last Thing He Ever Wanted, an adaptation of the Joan Didion novel.

-I was home sick today so I got to watch Noah Centineo on Kelly & Ryan this morning. Which was perfect timing because I had just watched the new trailer for PS I Still Love You eleven times in a row.  The John Ambrose casting is really good; Jordan Fisher might actually be charming enough to give Peter Kavinsky a run for his money.
