-The noose keeps tightening around Prince Andrew’s neck but he doesn’t seem to care. How privileged to you have to feel to just be able to shrug this stuff off like your teflon?

–Lizzo brought Macaulay Culkin on stage during her L.A. concert last night and it was quite adorable.

–Scarlett Johansson says isn’t going to let Michael Che anywhere near Colin Jost’s bachelor party, which seems like good planning.

–Keira Knightley revealed that she gave birth to a baby girl six weeks ago that she named Delilah.

–Ken Loach is the latest old school filmmaker to crap on Marvel movies. (At least his comments seem to be more about the current movie marketplace and what opportunities filmmakers are getting shut out of as blockbusters become the status quo, which is more understandable than the crotchety “it’s not good” refrain.)

-It’s hilarious that during the CW crossover filming, someone always seems to fall asleep during a scene. Previously it was Melissa Benoist, this year it’s Stephen Amell.

-Speaking of the CW, I’m pleasantly surprised that Batwoman is doing well in the ratings. I don’t think it’s for me, but good on female-fronted superhero shows.

–Lori Loughlin and other parents were just hit with additional charges in the college admissions scandal.

-In this clip from her new Netflix special, Jenny Slate explains football and suddenly everything makes sense.

-I get that everyone loves Kawhi, but what a weird and cringey way to promote the new Terminator movie.

-You’re damn right I’m gonna watch this Netflix holiday teen movie. I’m gonna watch it so hard.

-The final trailer for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker is pretty damn good, guys. (I also enjoyed Mallory Rubin’s reaction to it.)

-Speaking of Adam Driver movies, here’s the first trailer for The Report, which I saw at TIFF and liked a lot.

Nicole Kidman Talks Marriage, Motherhood and Meryl

-In her 10th time covering Vanity Fair, Nicole Kidman talks about her marriage to Keith Urban (“It’s extremely simple with what we want from each other and what we want from a relationship. Just peas in a pod in that regard”), her kids with Tom Cruise (Bella is married and lives in London, Conner is in music in Miami), and how Meryl Streep slipped seamlessly into Big Little Lies’ close-knit cast (“There are no men in our equation. I mean, there are, but they’re not on the group chat, let’s put it that way. [Meryl is] and she’s very funny”).

-Early reactions to Avengers: Endgame are super positive, especially the film’s last hour which will apparently get us all up in our feels.  Box office-wise, it’s tracking at $1B worldwide ticket sales in less than a week.

–Natalie Portman was a surprise guest at the Endgame premiere, leading to everyone wondering if she makes a cameo.

-The best moment of the premiere’s red carpet was when Brie Larson surprised Tessa Thompson with a kiss.

–Gwyneth Paltrow couldn’t help spilling spoilers on the red carpet.

-Meanwhile, Gwyneth was spotted hanging out with ex-hubby Chris Martin‘s girlfriend, Dakota Johnson.

-It finally seems to be dawning on Lori Loughlin that she’s facing some serious jail time.

-Sources in Britney Spears’ camp are telling People that no one is forcing her to stay at her wellness facility.

–Maisie Williams’ tweet about her controversial GoT scene is great.

-13 Going on 30 came out 15 years ago today. Let’s celebrate by rewatching the best awkward dance scene ever! Jennifer Garner’s post about the film, in which she celebrates her young costars, is very sweet. I also very much like this article on why it’s a better movie than Big. “‘Chick flicks’— as some like to call romance films that center on a woman—are never ‘refreshing’ or ‘poignant.’ Chick flicks, no matter how original they are, are ‘well-worn,’ ‘formulaic’ and ‘uninspired.’ Big gets to be on the American Film Institute’s list of funniest films of all time, while 13 Going on 30 gets dubbed a guilty pleasure.”

–Whitney Davis, an exec who worked at CBS for 13 years before quitting in February, wrote a column in Variety about the network’s “white problem.” And yet on the same day CBS said that they’ve suspended their search for a new CEO ’cause clearly the current exec team is top notch.

-Hurray! The Good Fight has been renewed for season 4. This current season is fire.

-Lizzo talking about drunkenly sliding into Drake’s DMs is giving me life.

–Whitney Houston‘s BFF (and maybe more?) Robyn Crawford is releasing a memoir detailing her relationship with the singer.

–Always Be My Maybe, Netflix’s upcoming romcom starring Ali Wong and Randall Park, looks adorable!

-Speaking of amazing photo shoots, Keiynan Lonsdale in Vogue took my breath away.

–Beyonce shocked everyone by dropping a surprise live album to coincide with her new Netflix documentary, ensuring that no one in the entire world did any work today.

-Look, I’m fully aware that this entire article was likely ghost-written by her PR team, but I’m still here for all the Jennifer Garner comeback pieces.

–Madonna‘s new single “Medellin” is here. It took a few listens but now I dig it.

–Britney Spears‘ mother is not doing much to reassure us that her daughter is fine. She posted about how “the battle is not over” and then liked posts about Britney being put in a mental care facility against her will.  What’s happening??

-Ugh, when asked about Rey’s parents, J.J. Abrams said Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker will show us “there’s more to the story than you’ve seen.” This is why I’m concerned with Abrams regaining control. He adores his mystery boxes, but the reason that The Last Jedi was so powerful is because Rian Johnson introduced the notion that anyone could be a Jedi — even if you’re parents are nobody. It opened up the Force (kind of like the Buffy finale opened up slayerhood). Why destroy that, especially in the final chapter of a trilogy that established it?

-Huzzah! Emma Thompson and Paul Rudd will host SNL this season.

–Louis Tomlinson broke his silence following his sister’s sudden death to thank fans for their support.

-I really liked actor John Bradley’s take on Sam Tarly’s scenes in the Game of Thrones premiere. Sam is not only one of the purest characters, he’s often also the audience surrogate. So if Sam doesn’t like Dany, that doesn’t bode well for her.

-Meanwhile, the Gay of Thrones recaps by Queer Eye’s Jonathan Van Ness continue to be the most entertaining thing about the show.

-I love The Cut editors’ review of Adam Driver’s new Broadway play based on his hotness, which includes lines like “it’s a really immense, thigh-forward experience” and “I was so flustered by his quads that at one point I spilled all of the contents of my purse on the floor.”

-Dead to Me, Netflix’s new show starring Christina Applegate and Linda Cardellini, is getting good reviews.

-Oof. The final trailer for X Men: Dark Phoenix does nothing to convince me that this film won’t be a mess.
