–Leslie Jonesgave her first interview since racist Twitter trolls brought her to tears, saying “The insults didn’t hurt me. Unfortunately, I’m used to the insults. But what scared me was the injustice of a gang of people jumping against you for such a sick cause.”
-She also returned to Twitter, saying ‘Who else is going to live tweet #GameofThrones?’
–Taylor Swift and Tom Hiddleston are back in LA. What are the chances she’s going to accompany him to Comic Con?
-I’m weirdly excited to follow this weekend’s Comic Con news, considering all the goodies we’ve already gotten. So far, Marvel on Netflix is winning, from the first teaser for The Defenders to the news that they’ve renewed Daredevil for season three. But most importantly, the Luke Cage trailer that debuted last night is fire!
-It’s a bad week for Hollywood’s longtime couples (especially the ones who’ve been plagued by blind items). Yesterday was Josh and Diane, and today it’s Lady Gaga and Taylor Kinney who have called it quits.
–Matt Damon and Julia Stiles responded to Lena Dunham’s critique of the Jason Bourne poster, politely telling her to PFO.
-Meanwhile, I really like this cover story on Matt Damon, mostly because they got other celebrities to talk about him instead of doing the usual profile thing. Tina Fey’s comment is the best. Clearly.
-Here’s a good look at what’s next for Taylor Swift, now that her “aw shucks, math sure is hard, y’all!” persona has been blown to bits.
-Meanwhile, a lawyer has weighed in on if Tay’s “character assassination” claim is legit.
-Ohhh…I really hope this photo means Scott Speedman is on Aisha‘s podcast soon. Even if it’s just him repeating the word “hey” for an hour. No one heys like Speedman…
-Here’s a peek at Anna Kendrick’s book cover. This feels like a “Oh god, what do I do with my hands?!?” pose.
-This Marie Claire cover is my favourite yet of Amy Schumer. In the interview, she talks about finding love (“I feel so bad for him. How exhausting it must be dating me”), dealing with her newfound fame (“I’m trying to figure out how to navigate all this”) and a recent sex dream she had about pal Jemima Kirke (“I almost told her about it. Then I thought maybe Lena would get jealous.”).
-No, Tom Hiddleston. No. You do not get to participate in the most publicity-baiting relationship/stunt for weeks and then get all flustered and perturbedwhen asked about it like that’s an unexpected question. ALL THE NOPES.
-Meanwhile, is Taylor Swift gunning for a couples Vogue cover? Someone send me an invite to the prayer circle!
-I’m really glad Samira Wiley‘s most memorable momentfrom TO’s Pride parade wasn’t the crazy girl who kept yelling “SAMIRAAAAAA!” until she waved at me. I mean her. Waved at her. The girl. Who wasn’t me.
-This is so smart: Mr Robot briefly premiered three days earlyon Twitter, Youtube and Snapchat. Whoever was running their social media was having a blast with it, too.
–Alanis Morissette named her new baby Onyx Solace. Mmkay.
–Liv Tyler also welcomed a baby girl. She named her Lula Rose, which is adorable.
-Meanwhile, in his new Vulture profile, Paul Feig says “I wanted for little girls to be able to see themselves up on the screen.” This adorable photo from the screening proves he nailed it.
-I’m actually surprised Blake Lively allowed her Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants costars to post this makeup-free pic.
-Oooh, this is such good news: Carrie Coon just signed on to be the lead in Fargo season 3. She is basically the only reason I stuck with The Leftovers after its dismal first season, and I’m so glad I did. (Seriously, if you didn’t watch season 2, binge it ASAP.) Vulture just named her the Best TV Actress of 2106; watch the second clip embedded in that article if you want to understand why.
–Gwyneth Paltrowis in Newfoundland? Please someone tell me there’s video of her being screeched in!
-THR’s full, uncensored Comedy Actress Roundtable with Ilana Glazer, Lily Tomlin, Niecy Nash, Gina Rodriguez, Allison Janney and Rachel Bloomis now onlineand ready for your eyeballs.
-Roadies episodes have been piling up on my DVR because even though the negative reviews aren’t making me want to watch it, I feel like I have to give Cameron Crowe joints a chance for nostalgia reasons, you know? But then I saw the Twitter/critic uproar over how a sexual assault was depictedon this week’s episode, and now I feel pretty good about deleting them all sight unseen.
