–Prince Andrew just bought his way out of trouble. He reached an out-of-court settlement with Virginia Giuffre, who says she was forced by his longtime friend, Jeffrey Epstein, to have sex with the royal while she was a minor. The amount of the settlement is undisclosed. Andrew will also be making a “substantial” donation to Giuffre’s charity in support of victims’ rights.
-Many predicted he’d try to settle before he was scheduled for a 2-day deposition in London March 10, which could be made public, not to mention the Queen’s upcoming Jubilee.
–Kanye West took to Instagram for apologize for posting screenshots of his text exchanges with Kim Kardashian. “I know sharing screen shots was jarring and came off as harassing Kim. I take accountability. I’m still learning in real time. I don’t have all the answers. To be [a] good leader is to be a good listener.”
-But then he went and sent Kim a truck full of roses for Valentine’s Day, which sounds kinda harass-y.
-Meanwhile, Pete Davidson sent flowers to girlfriend Kim’s sisters.
–Julia Fox talked about her relationship with Kanye in her profile in The Cut, and succinctly summed up the role of celebrity: “When our paparazzi photos were leaked, there was just such an interest. I was kind of like, ‘Okay, I’ll tell you.’ I wasnt being, like, hush-hush, celebrity. Celebrities are not that fucking important. You can tell us about your stupid fucking date. We’re in a pandemic.
