Euphoria Makes The Cut

euphoria cast cut cover

-Is it just me or is Euphoria getting WAY more buzz this season than last? The ladies of the cast cover The Cut, and talk about how the pandemic forced the writers to scrap everything and start season two anew. (It’s interesting that the article addresses — but doesn’t confirm — that Kat’s storylines have been sidelined this season, possibly because of tension between actress Barbie Ferreira and creator Sam Levinson.)

Naomi Campbell posed with her daughter for the first time on the March issue of British Vogue. She remained tight-lipped on the details for the baby’s arrival, only saying “She wasn’t adopted – she’s my child” and “I can count on one hand the number of people who knew that I was having her.”

Kanye West and Julia Fox are dunzo. It’s probably because he keeps declaring his intention to get Kim Kardashian back.

-He also spent the weekend dissing Pete Davidson. He said that Kim urged him to stop it, and showed a screenshot of a text allegedly from her that said “U are creating a dangerous and scary environment and someone will hurt Pete and this will all be your fault…There are dangerous people out there and this is scary and it doesn’t have to be.”

-This year’s Oscar hosts are in final talks, and I’m into it: Amy Schumer, Regina Hall and Wanda Sykes are being asked to host the Academy Awards. Apparently, Selena Gomez, Steve Martin and Martin Short were first invited to host (which I also would have been very into) but they couldn’t commit due to scheduling issues.

Zoë Kravitz is still pissed at Hulu for cancelling High Fidelity. Same.

Ed Sheeran and Taylor Swift‘s new music video features a shot of my alma mater!

Anna Sorokin was interviewed about the new Netflix show based on her life, Inventing Anna, and she’s still delusional.

-Aw man. Canadian director Ivan Reitman has passed away at 75.

-Here’s the first trailer for Bridgerton season 2. I was hoping for a glimpse of the Pall Mall scene but Anthony in a bathtub is a nice consolation.

-Here’s the trailer for Lucy and Desi, a documentary from Amy Poehler that people adored at Sundance.

-I expect Ben Affleck and Ana de Armas to do absolutely zero press for their new psychological thriller Deep Water, streaming next month on Hulu. The fact that this entire “trailer” is just her giving him a handjob and they dropped it on Valentine’s Day is sending me…

-Meanwhile, Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck were spotted dancing during the halftime show.

-There were lots of familiar faces in this year’s Super Bowl ads, including Eugene Levy with a bunch of Marvel stars for Nissan, Scrubs’ stars Zach Braff and Donald Faison for T-Mobile, Community’s Joel McHale and Ken Jeong for PlantersLeslie Jones, Rashida Jones, Tommy Lee Jones, and Nick Jonas for Toyota, Ted Lasso’s Hannah Waddingham for Rakuten, and the Sopranos kids for Chevrolet.

-We also got our first glimpse of footage from Amazon’s Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power series, and Jordan Peele’s Nope starring Daniel Kaluuya and Keke Palmer.

-The biggest trailer to drop during the SB was Doctor Strange 2, which sees Strange and Wanda face off, and the return of Patrick Stewart‘s Professor Xavier.
