Kirsten Dunst and Jesse Plemons are reportedly expecting their first child. Baby Landry!

-People is predicting Jennifer Lopez is going to get engaged over the holidays, which kind of bums me out. Not her getting engaged, but the apparent lack of surprise around the whole thing.

-Speaking of engagements, is that a new ring on Rihanna’s hand?

George and Amal Clooney proved to be solid citizens by handing out headphones to their fellow passengers to apologize for having their 6-month-old twins on board.

-Look, Salma Hayek has been basically cancelled for me since she spoke over Jessica Williams. But she just shared her story with the NYT about how difficult Harvey Weinstein made life for her on the set of Frida when she refused his advances.  “No to letting a naked friend of his give me a massage. No to letting him give me oral sex. No to my getting naked with another woman. No, no, no … And with every refusal came Harvey’s Machiavellian rage.”

-Music mogul Russell Simmons has been accused of rape by three women, according to the NYT.

Jada Pinkett Smith took to Twitter yesterday to rail against Tiffany Haddish‘s lack of nominations, but Haddish doesn’t seem to mind it. “Thank all of y’all for your love and support, I don’t know or care much about snubs because I’m not nasty like that!”

Tom Hanks and Stephen Colbert have different opinions when it comes to decorating a Christmas tree. “Flashing lights? We’re not landing a plane.”

-The palace has confirmed that the royals have broken with tradition and invited Meghan Markle to spend the holidays with them, even though she and Harry aren’t married yet. She’s already mixing it up!

-The bromance is strong between Harry Styles and James Corden this week. First, the pair smooched on a holiday-themed edition of Carpool Karaoke. Then, Styles took over hosting duties last-minute while Corden and his wife welcomed a new baby girl.

-Sophie Turner says that when the cast read the last episode of Game of Thrones, there was a standing ovation. We won’t know what she’s talking about for a few years, though.

Ansel Elgot just jumped on the “fake news” bandwagon. What a turd.

-Big Little Lies, Glow and Stranger Things lead the TV side of the SAG nominations.  Also, the weird SAG rules explain why some names are left out.

-Also, I kind of love that all the SAG presenters this year will be female.

-A German news site called Morrissey’s bluff and released audio of him saying shitty things.

Natalie Portman and Gina Rodriguez are on a mission in the new Annihilation trailer.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi Earns Rave Reviews

Star Wars The Last Jedi
Lucas Films Ltd/Disney

-Holy moly, are critics ever loving on Star Wars: The Last Jedi!

-Didn’t we already know that Dakota Johnson and are dating?

-A funny thing is happening to Today now that Matt Lauer is gone: Its ratings are going up.

-An actress has added to the accusations against Mario Batali. He was also repeatedly mentioned in the NYT’s report of sexual misconduct allegations at The Spotted Pig, including a tidbit about someone having to intervene because they saw on the security camera that Batali was kissing an unconscious woman. “We called him the Red Menace,” said a former server. “He tried to touch my breasts and told me that they were beautiful. He wanted to wrestle. As I was serving drinks to his table, he told me I should sit on his friend’s face.”

Larry King is “flatly and unequivocally” denying a groping allegation.

-Even though it doesn’t drop until Dec. 29, Black Mirror is landing on a lot of critics’ Best of 2017 lists (’cause they’ve already seen it).

George Clooney told Jimmy Kimmel he’d take on a moose as a pet because “it’s a mobile coat rack”.

-I love that the girl who plays Felicity on Arrow tried to keep her job at a dog grooming place for the entire first season of the show.  Dogs *are* very cute.

-The Punisher has been renewed for season 2 on Netflix. I really liked what I saw, but it also feels like the finale really wrapped up his emotional journey. (Of course, you could say the same thing about Jessica Jones and I can’t wait for that one’s return…)

-I love that Netflix had to go on the defensive over their big brother fan-shaming tweet about The Christmas Prince.

-I’m a big fan of Gina Rodriguez — and I’m an even bigger fan of this dress.

Will Smith falls into a war over a wand in Netflix’s Bright trailer. Man, this this looks like a mess.

Walking Dead Fans Shook By Death of Major Character

-I stopped watching The Walking Dead last year (best. decision. ever.) but Twitter went wild over last night’s big death. Also not impressed? The star’s dad, who slammed the showrunner: “Watching Gimple fire my son 2 weeks before his birthday after telling him they wanted him for the next 3 years was disappointing.”

-Meanwhile, Andrew Lincoln is talking about how his contract is up this season and has yet to be formally renewed for season nine.

-It’s been kind of amazing to watch stars like Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Justin Bieber, Hailee Steinfeld and more rally around that kid who was bullied. But now there’s controversy surrounding the boy’s mom following allegations that she’s made racist posts on Facebook. It does make you wonder why certain stories go viral — and others don’t.

-Last night word broke on Twitter that a celeb chef would be the latest famous dude to fall, with Anthony Bourdain adding “Monday is really going to suck.” Fellow chef Tom Colicchio tweeted “And no one should be surprised.” Then this morning came the news that Mario Batali has been accused of sexual misconduct by multiple women. His response: “Although the identities of most of the individuals mentioned in these stories have not been revealed to me, much of the behavior described does, in fact, match up with ways I have acted.”

Jessica Chastain says a famous dude chastised her for tweeting  when the Weinstein scandal broke. “I was tweeting a lot at the time and actually got an email from a well-known actor that said, ‘Calm down.'”

-A source says that Matt Lauer is “weak and broken and ashamed” after his firing. I love this song.

-Another woman has come forward with allegations of being groped by Dustin Hoffman.

-To do a Spacey-free season, Netflix had to toss most of two completed episodes and about 5-6 finished scripts.

Josh Homme posted two Instagram videos apologizing after kicking a female photographer during a QOTSA concert.

-I seriously wish Tiffany Haddish was contractually obligated to be a talk show guest every week. Her story about dating a one-armed man slayed me. “Does he live with the X-Men?”

-The Golden Globe nominations are always weird, but there were some nutso snubs in this morning’s announcement. On the movie side, no Wonder Woman or The Big Sick or Tiffany Haddish. Over on TV, no Veep or The Leftovers — but Jessica Biel somehow managed to slide in there?

-Only five women have ever been nominated for the Golden Globe for Best Director in its 75-year history. This year, women were shut out once again. I really thought Greta Gerwig was a shoe-in.

This video of Alison Brie finding out about her GG nom on the set of Glow is pretty great.

-Netflix calling out the 53 people who’ve watched A Christmas Prince 18 days in a row is a bit squicky.  Not only does it reveal that they’re tracking us in a big brotherly way, why are they going after their (most likely) female fans? Squicky, I tell ya.

-Netflix revealed their end-of-year data, and you all watched a LOT of American Vandal. Which is odd, because I feel like it didn’t get a lot of coverage.

This X Files promo with the stars trying to explain Mulder and Scully’s relationship made  me laugh. (“I’d say were kind of back to where we were originally but without the unresolved sexual tension… Because we’ve already had sex.”)

-Whoo hoo! Atlanta’s season 2 returns to FX in February of 2018. I really thought we’d have to wait another year for this one.

-On the flip side, Sophie Turner says Game of Thrones season 8 won’t premiere until 2019.

-Previously.TV is doing old-school, Television without Pity-style recaps and I am SO HAPPY. (And I don’t even watch this show!)

-The trailer for Jessica Jones Season 2 looks wonderful.  It drops March 8, and all 13 episodes were directed by women.
