Ryan Reynolds Gets Duped By Hugh Jackman & Jake Gyllenhaal

-Speaking of Jake Gyllenhaal, he’s reportedly dating a 22-year-old model. Sure.

-Wait, Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas had two more wedding receptions this week? Is this just their life now?

-An old video of Chris Rock, Louis CK and Ricky Gervais freely talking about using the n-word on stage has resurfaced, and people are not happy. (Jerry Seinfeld was also part of the conversation, but acquitted himself well by seeming uncomfortable and refusing to repeat the word: “You’ve found the humour of it. I haven’t found it, nor do I seek it.”)

-On the Tonight Show, Felicity Jones attempted some Beyonce moves and it went better than you’d expect.

-Old Beyonce songs were leaked on Spotify somehow, and everyone melted down thinking they were new. (They were not. Bah humbug!)

-Speaking of new music, Rihanna confirmed in an IG comment to a fan that she’s releasing new music in 2019.

-This video of Michelle Obama and Jimmy Fallon surprising people when the elevator doors open is a delight!

-The original stars of 90210 were all spotted having coffee together after a meeting in LA, leading to speculation that a reboot is in the works. Sigh. Why not?

Miley Cyrus just updated “Santa Baby” and turned it into a feminist anthem. “Santa baby, I’d love to know my ass won’t get grabbed at work by some ignorant jerk.”

Kristen Stewart might have a new girlfriend.

-Uh, did Jessica Mulroney just offer the Daily Mail a look inside her Toronto home? Being Meghan Markle‘s BFF sure is working out for her.

-Aw shit. Cardi B and Offset were spotted looking cozy and reunited in Puerto Rico.

Dylan O’Brien and Britt Robertson, who’ve been dating since 2012, have reportedly split.

Demi Lovato took to Twitter to deny the “sources” of a recent tabloid story about her recovery. She added: “Someday I’ll tell the world what exactly happened, why it happened and what my life is like today.. but until I’m ready to share that with people please stop prying and making up shit that you know nothing about. I still need space and time to heal.”

Colin Farrell used a recent talk show appearance to shine a spotlight on his friend who’s suffering from Epidermolysis bullosa.

-This is a good piece about feeling alienated from a lot of the “girl power” messaging at the movies and TV this year. I follow an academic on Twitter who’s summed this phenomenon up perfectly: plastic representation.

Busy Philipps received a call from Oprah on her show last night and broke down in tears. Understandable.

-If you thought you already knew everything about Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas‘ wedding — you’d probably be right. But they’re still on the new cover of People and all over Hello!’s social media. Good for them for wringing every last cent from the festivities, I guess.

-Meanwhile, this tongue-in-cheek deep-dive into the validity of their relationship is hilarious. “Nicholas Jonas married into a fraudulent relationship against his will this past Sunday, December the 2, and I’ll tell you why I think so.”

-Killing Eve’s Jodie Comer looks amazing on the cover of Wonderland. I hope she becomes a huge star.

-Meanwhile, here’s more scoop on who’s leaking all those stories from the palace.

-GQ interviewed a bunch of people about the late Anthony Bourdain and collected their stories, and goddammit the resulting article made me weepy. “He turned to Tony and said, ‘How far can you keep going? Where else can you go? You can’t go to the moon!’ And Tony goes, ‘Really? Why not? I’ll go to the moon and make an episode on the moon. I’ll go anywhere.'”

-The CW is developing a Jane The Virgin spin-off series that will be written by long-time show writer Valentina Garza and will involve Gina Rodriguez.

Kayne West apologized after being caught on his phone at Cher‘s Broadway show. (This is in no way an excuse, but apparently the show is really, really bad.)

-Wait, Demi Moore allegedly has a secret girlfriend? I can’t believe I missed this until now!

-Netflix will reportedly pay WarnerMedia $100M in 2019 to continue streaming Friends (up from $30M). This is NUTS — especially because it will soon be available on another streaming site next year.

-BBC just announced that Luther will air on New Year’s Day. Perfect hangover cure!

-The big guns came out for Ryan Murphy’s Walk of Fame star ceremony, including Gwyneth Paltrow, Jessica Lange and Sarah Paulson.

-The Actors on Actors interviews always result in some interesting pairings. The latest has Timothee Chalamet and Emma Stone talking about dealing with rejection, Melissa McCarthy and Lupita Nyong’o discussing women in Hollywood, Charlize Theron and Michael B Jordan talking about the impact of Black Panther, and Lady Gaga and Lin-Manuel Miranda talking about writing Shallow.

-Variety’s list of 10 directors to watch for 2019 includes 6 women.

-People are loving the new Captain Marvel trailer. (Though I’m not quite sure why people are calling it a “course correction” because I loved the first trailer too.)
