Is Lady Gaga Dating Jeremy Renner?

-If you had asked me what famous person Lady Gaga would date next, Jeremy Renner would have been way, way, way down on the bottom of my list of guesses. But here were are! Maybe. People says they’ve been spending lots of time together, while a source tells Us Weekly it might not be romantic yet.  What do you think a date with Renner even looks like? I’m guessing it’s filled with a lot of boring house-flipping talk.

-Bummer. Dan and Eugene Levy announced today that they’ve decided to end Schitt’s Creek with season 6. It’s always good to see creatives being allowed to bow out on their own terms, but it also feels like our quirky lil’ Canadian show was just starting to pick up steam popularity-wise (especially in the US).

–Richard E. Grant continues to be a delightful tea spiller. He says Julianne Moore was fired from Can You Ever Forgive Me? because she wanted to wear a fat suit and fake nose.

-The Cruel Intentions cast spills backstage secrets in this oral history to celebrate the film’s 20 year anniversary. Joshua Jackson remembers how Reese Witherspoon hooked him up with a car rental place that would rent to underage drivers, Ryan Phillippe talks about showing his butt, and Sarah Michelle Gellar praises Selma Blair‘s soft lips.

-On the Us press tour, Winston Duke was asked about Michael Jackson and somehow seamlessly pivoted the conversation back to the theme of the movie he’s promoting without appearing to sidestep the question. This deserves a slow clap.

-While promoting her new album, Jenny Lewis talked about the “f*cked up” allegations against frequent collaborator Ryan Adams. “I was so sad on so many levels when I heard. I hate that he’s on this album, but you can’t rewrite how things went.”

-This is a pretty fascinating profile on Roseanne Barr, who seems to regret nothing.

–Jenny McCarthy is shit-talking her experience on The View in a new book.

-The repercussions of Disney buying Fox have already started. Elizabeth Gabler’s Fox 2000, which is responsible for mid-budget movies like The Devil Wears Prada, Hidden Figures and Love, Simon, is being shuttered.

–Lizzy Caplan and Eight Grade star Elsie Fisher just joined season two of Castle Rock. Also, I just learned that Fisher has a Dungeons and Dragons podcast, which is all kinds of adorable.

-I never watched Deadwood but I was pretty convinced the movie was never going to happen after years (and years) of delays. But HBO just released the first trailer, so what do I know?

-This is tragic. Budding country singer Justin Carter died of an accidental shooting after a prop gun from a music video went off in his apartment.

-A new trailer for John Wick: Chapter 3 just dropped.

Idris Elba Talks Bond Rumours

–Idris Elba is looking mighty fine on the cover of Esquire, where he talks about his relationship with his father, and trying  to shake those Bond rumours.

–Beyonce and Jay Z‘s daughter Blue Ivy freestyles on a 4:44 outtake, and she’s better than I could ever hope to be.  Also, I think it’s super weird for a 5-year-old to have fans, but the fact that they’re dubbing themselves The Ivy League is kinda cute.

-Ha ha ha: the owner of the dog shelter where Lena Dunham got her dog (which she just gave away) is disputing the actress’ claims that the dog has a history of aggression and abuse. And then Dunham disputed their claim?  This story is crazy and I love it.

–Rooney Mara says the first time she ever tried pie was last year while shooting a movie scene. Just in case you were wondering why she always looked so miserable…

–Ben Affleck is back on the dating scene. He’s apparently seeing SNL producer Lindsay Shookus. (Best. Name. Ever.)

–Prince‘s music videos are now on YouTube, something that would never have happened when he was alive.

-Parenthood’s Mae Whitman spent the 4th of July with her TV mom Lauren Graham and that makes me weirdly happy.

-Spider-Man: Homecoming delivered $15.4 million from Thursday previews, which is even stronger than expected so look for it to blow up this weekend.

–Broken Social Scene just released their first album in seven years and the reviews are glowing. They also landed on the cover of Spin.

–Jeremy Renner insists a few arm fractures won’t stop him from doing whatever he spends his time doing (which I assume includes flipping houses).

-I don’t watch Agents of Shield but I follow Chloe Bennet because she’s done a lot of good charity work for women’s health in Haiti — and her Instagram stories are adorable. So I’m a little bummed that she’s broken up with Walking Dead’s Austin Nichols. She seems to be doing just fine tho.

-I agree with every single thing on this list of the worst characters on CW’s superhero shows.

–Halle Berry is desperate to get her son back in the new trailer for Kidnap.

Britney Spears Talks Motherhood and Bad Dates in Marie Claire

-I don’t love the cover shot Marie Claire UK chose for Britney Spears. It’s…off somehow. It’s almost like she’s cross-eyed or something? Still, the interview excerpt makes it sounds like she’s in a good place, so there’s that.

-The situation surrounding Chris Brown continues to be messy af. ‘Cause it’s Chris Brown.

–Ellen DeGeneres made an all-female Magic Mike spoof featuring Oprah Winfrey, Olivia Munn, Jenna Dewan Tatum, and Chrissy Teigen as the world’s worst strippers.

-So Mindy Kaling’s brother is kind of a dick, huh?

-I mentioned yesterday that Donald Glover‘s new TV show Atlanta is getting great reviews. Here’s the new trailer.

-TV stars guide us through the horrors of Peak TV in this fake PSA.

-Wait, is Rihanna‘s new tattoo Drake/Toronto-themed? Yeah, she’ll definitely never regret that…

-Say what you will about Amy Schumer, but she sure knows how to crush hecklers.

-Reviews out of Venice for Denis Villeneuve’s Arrival, starring Amy Adams and Jeremy Renner, are very positive.

–Reese Witherspoon has split ! (From her longtime producing partner, Bruna Papandrea. Sorry, did you think I meant something else?)

-I’m surprised that Tom Hiddleston is still considered to be in the running for Bond.

–Jimmy Fallon getting into a silly string fight with the kids from Stranger Things is just the cutest thing ever.

-Pitch Perfect 3 has  a new director. She previously directed one of the Step Up movies so I already love her.

–Greg Berlanti is developing yet ANOTHER superhero show? Enough, now. Enough.

-I decided not to see Christopher Guest’s new movie Mascots at TIFF because it’s coming to Netflix soon. But the trailer looks super fun.

-I am actually going to the ARQ premiere at TIFF despite the fact that it’ll hit Netflix later this month, mostly because it’s from the Orphan Black creator and it stars an Amell.
