Emma Stone Hits the Streets with Billy Eichner

-Here’s the Billy on the Street segment with Emma Stone, in which he tries to convince her to join Instagram. The girl around the 3:30 min marks slays me (“Even Will Smith is on it!”)

David Marchese interviews are always a delight, but his latest with Emma Thompson takes it to a whole new level of awesomeness. She talks about the #MeToo movement, her evolving feminism, and drops bon mots such as: “Although we mustn’t get gloomy. Lots of things are better today: dentistry.”

-Her interview-turned-dance with Stephen Colbert was also magic.

-The White Boy Rick promo tour has given Matthew McConaughey multiple opportunities to repeat his non-so-great beliefs about the “problem” with single-parent families.

-Goddamit. Aaron Paul deserves a better a show than Westworld.

-Manager Scooter Braun says he used to worry every night that Justin Bieber was going to die of an overdose. “There was a time when I would go to sleep almost every night when he had the money to fly away from me and I was worried every night that I was gonna lose him. That was the time when I was telling him he’s not allowed to work. He used to yell and scream at me and he wanted to put music out. He wanted to tour, but I thought if he did that, he would die.”

-Save us, Rihanna!

-The cast of To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before wrote their own fanfiction and I would read it all…

-Oof — emails released in a lawsuit show that Warren Beatty dismissed test audiences’ initial reactions to his movie Rules Don’t Apply because they were “too ethnic.”

Norm Macdonald apologized for his “Down Syndrome” remark, tried to clarify his Roseanne/Louis C.K. comments, and added “If 500 women go against a man, obviously the guy is guilty. But with Chris Hardwick, it was one woman against one man. So, I was saying that it was good … that Chris Hardwick has been rehabilitated as he’s going to get.” Yeah, he should probably just stop now.

-Oh good, he just might.  He gave the New Yorker what he’s said may be his last-ever print interview.

-According the NYT’s new story on Les Moonves, the board only began to turn on him when they discovered, after months of assuring them the accusations were false or “grossly overstated,” that he was trying to find one of his accusers a job at CBS in exchange for her silence.

-The Predator director Shane Black gave an emotional apology on the red carpet, telling the AP “I take full responsibility. I’m very deeply sorry…I hope I learn from this.” I hope he reached out to Olivia Munn.

-Speaking of Munn, The Predator sex offender’s victim has broken her silence to thank the actress for taking a stand on her behalf: “I was not able to speak for myself when I was 14…I am also eternally grateful for Olivia Munn’s action. She spoke up for me. She took a stance for me. In turn she stood for all who have suffered like I have. To be acknowledged by a stranger, on a public platform about this issue is incredibly empowering.”

-The Good Place’s Jameela Jamil took down a gym bodyshamer.

Lindsay Morgan from The 100 and Emily Bett Rickards from Arrow keep posting videos of them working out together and it makes my gym sessions look like naptime.

Judy Greer cried while talking about BFF Jennifer Garner on yesterday’s episode of The Social.

-In court documents, a jewelry designer has accused Sarah Jessica Parker of borrowing about $70,000 worth of jewelry, which she never returned. SJP’s lawyer is denying the allegations.

Missy Elliott surprised viral video star Mary Halsey on Ellen today. I love that they kept cutting to Kristen Bell during her performance.

-The first trailer for Netflix’s The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina is legitimately creepy.

-Here’s the first full promo for Julia Roberts‘ new Amazon show Homecoming, which looks creepy af. It screened at TIFF this week and people dug it.

Armie Hammer Really Knows How To Wear Sweaters

armie hammer GQ call me by your name

Armie Hammer covers British GQ (as does his Call Me By Your Name costar Timothée Chalamet), and everyone is drooling over this pic of him in a sweater. After seeing him at TIFF I have a lot of conflicting feelings about him. He’s super dreamy IRL, but he also did a panel discussion with Chalamet and his behaviour was…not my favourite.

-Move over, GOOP. Shonda Rhimes just launched her own lifestyle site.

Elsie Hewitt, a 21-year-old model, filed a civil lawsuit yesterday against actor Ryan Phillippe for allegedly kicking, punching and throwing her down the stairs after an argument on July 4. His camp is telling People that it was Hewitt who attacked him after he broke up with her.

-Meanwhile Philippe’s ex-girlfriend had an interesting tweet

-Congrats to Breaking Bad’s Aaron Paul and wife Lauren, who are expecting their first child.  Brace yourself for even more gushy social media posts (which I find weirdly endearing, tbh).

-The guy who cast most of the CW shows says the network originally wanted Ashley Olsen and Rumer Willis to play Blair & Serena on Gossip Girl.

-I like that Prince William is comfortable enough about balding to crack jokes about it.

Jada Pinkett Smith is shooting down Leah Remini‘s claims that she’s a Scientologist, tweeting “I have chanted and meditated in some of the most magnificent temples on earth… but I am not a Buddhist. I have studied Dianetics, and appreciate the merits of Study Tech… but I am not a Scientologist.”

Elisabeth Moss wrote “f*ck off” on the bottom of her Emmy shoes. Cute — but still doesn’t make me like her outfit.

Reese Witherspoon and Nicole Kidman politely struggling over who gets to hold the Emmy is giving me life!

-I really like this piece about the conflicting emotions of being a Louis CK fan. It took me way too long to disconnect from him too.

-So Jennifer Lawrence is the type to shout “we’re going down” when her flight hits turbulence. Sounds like she’d be swell to sit next to…

Ansel Elgort‘s new movie looks like it might have a white saviour problem.  Not cool, Hollywood.

Gilmore Girls Trailer: Lorelai Hikes Now?!

-The first Gilmore Girls trailer has arrived! I’m 78% certain this reboot is a terrible idea, but damn if this didn’t get me pumped anyway.

Emma Watson says of the US election: “It has been excruciating to sit on the sidelines.”  Really? ‘Cause being able to sit on the sidelines is the only thing keeping me sane.

-Did Justin Timberlake break the law by taking a selfie while voting early?

-It’s cute that Diane Kruger didn’t seem to realize that we’re scouring her Instagram posts for possible clues about her status with Joshua Jackson.

-There are conflicting reports about whether or not Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx have split after three years of dating. Page Six says they’re done; Us Weekly says they’re still going strong. They’ve never confirmed a relationship, so don’t expect their reps to clarify.

Nicole Richie is not sorry for her wild child past. “I don’t have to worry someone is going to put an embarrassing picture up on Facebook — the worst is already in strangers’ heads.”

Miley Cyrus was “too stoned” to remember lyrics in her Bill Murray tribute performance. Way to stay on brand, girlfriend.

-Every once in a while I dip back into Supergirl when there’s nothing else on. Was this show always so gay? Not just the obvious Alex evolution, but I was getting some major potential ‘ship vibes from Supergirl/Lena. It’s awesome!

-Despite critics absolutely hating on it, The Walking Dead premiere killed in the ratings. Humanity is doomed.

-These photos of Sandra Bullock and Cate Blanchett filming Ocean’s 8 tell us nothing about the plot and yet it’s already my favourite movie of all time.

Taylor Swift’s groping lawsuit deposition has been released, and she said she felt “violated in a way I had never experienced before.”

-This photo spread with Stranger Things’ Millie Bobbie Brown makes me both want to see her get a modeling gig, but also stop her from growing up. It’s confusing.

-Sources tell People that Jennifer Lawrence seems less ‘stressed out’ with new man Darren Aronofsky. Yes, because when you think of stressed out people, Jennifer Lawrence is the first to come to mind.

Aaron Paul is losing his mind in the trailer for Come and Find Me.
