Camila Cabello and Shawn Mendes Reunite Again

-Despite Page Six reporting that Camila Cabello and Shawn Mendes’ hookup at Coachella was “a one-off,” the pair were papped this week holding hands in Santa Monica. Her new single also seems to be about him.

F. Murray Abraham issued a an apology following reports that he was fired from Mythic Quest due to allegations of sexual misconduct. “Though never my intention to offend anyone, I told jokes, nothing more, that upset some of my colleagues and as a result lost a great job with wonderful people.”

-There’s no need for Ted Lasso episodes to be over an hour (there were at least two character storylines this week that could have been easily cut to make a tighter, better ep), but I do love that Jamie Tartt has suddenly become the most likeable character. This scene of him and Roy was the best of the season so far.

-Meanwhile, Ted Lasso’s Juno Temple has nabbed a role in Venom 3.

Alec Baldwin‘s lawyers say prosecutors are dropping manslaughter charges against him stemming from the 2021 shooting death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on the set of Rust.

-This is a good piece on David Choe and how his casting in Beef is a classic example of Hollywood nepotism doing exactly what it’s supposed to do: protect and enable predatory behavior from powerful people.

-Meanwhile, Ali Wong still hasn’t said anything about Chloe, but she and the usually private Bill Hader put on quite a PDA display for the paps. It’s the first time they’ve been photographed together.

-Twitter started removing blue checkmarks today, but a few celebs are going to pay to keep theirs, including Taylor Swift and Rihanna.

-Meanwhile, I love this story about how Taylor Swift didn’t sign a FTX sponsorship deal because she was the only one to ask about unregistered securities. Her dad used to work for Merrill Lynch and clearly taught her a thing or two.

-The new season of Somebody Somewhere debuts this weekend and it sounds even better than season one. Between this, Succession, Last of Us, Perry Mason and Barry, HBO is on one hell of a streak.

-It’s not often we see “smart” in a review for a Netflix show, but critics are loving Keri Russell‘s The Diplomat.

-Speaking of new things critics love, Are You There God It’s Me Margaret is getting great reviews.
