Ariana Grande Drops “7 Rings”

-Ok, so I might have listened to Ariana’s new song 287 times today. What can I say? It was a rough week.

–Sophie Turner revealed a one of the hardest parts of starring in Game of Thrones: “For the first few seasons I was allowed to wash my hair because I was an aristocratic young girl, but toward season five they started asking me to not wash my hair and it was really disgusting.”

–Justin Beiber and Hailey Baldwin have sent save the date cards for their wedding celebration.

-Sony has finally (FINALLY!) cut ties with R Kelly. Their RCA Records label has dropped him on the heels of the Lifetime documentary.

-Also, a former music label intern is accusing him of sexually abusing her as a teenager, which she’ll talk about on tonight’s Dateline.

–Tom Holland remains the cutest bean to ever exist.

-Arrow’s 150th episode sounds… kind of funny? Fine, I’m back in.

–Nic Pizzolatto and HBO are reportedly fighting over the True Detective season 3 finale. Has there ever been someone who needs to just get out of his own way more than this guy?

–Mariah Carey‘s war with her ex-assistant is insane. Blackmail! Secret recordings! NDAs! Pee!

-It’s interesting that Netflix considers its biggest competition not HBO, but Fortnite.

–Kumail Nanjiani and Issa Rae are starring in a rom-com together and I’m here for it!

-On the Graham Norton Show, they aired an old clip of Timothée Chalamet rapping about math and it was amazing. The also aired a clip of 10-year-old Saoirse Ronan winning a radio contest.

-According to Vulture, David Letterman recently interviewed Kanye West for the second season of his Netflix talk show. I don’t want to hear from either of those dudes so that’s a definite skip.

–Natalie Portman is the latest celeb to push for inclusion riders in Hollywood contracts.

-This is an interesting look at how Spotify’s revenue model makes it impossible for mid-level artists to be fairly compensated.

-Bless Twitter shippers for alerting me to the fact that Karen Page shows up in episode 11 of the new season of The Punisher. I can just skip to that, right?

–Jesse Eisenberg and Alexander Skarsgard race for stock market quotes in the trailer for The Hummingbird Project.

Miley Cyrus Shuts Down Pregnancy Rumours

–Miley Cyrus shut down pregnancy rumours with an ode to the record-breaking egg.

-Celebs can’t get enough of the 10 Year Challenge, but Mariah Carey wins it all with her caption: “time is not something I acknowledge. 🤷‍♀”

–Cardi B posted an IG video on the government shutdown: “I feel like we need to take some action. I don’t know what type of action, bitch, because that’s not what I do. But, bitch, I’m scared.” Chris Evans was loving it.

–Rihanna is reportedly teaming up with the luxury brand LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton to launch her own fashion house.

–Joe Alwyn has no plans to talk about his relationship with Taylor Swift in the press: “I don’t think anyone you meet on the streets would just spill their guts out to you, therefore why should I? And then that is defined as being ‘strangely private.’ Fine. But I don’t think it is. I think it’s normal.”

–Kevin McKidd recounted his ‘tearful’ post-Golden Globes reunion with former Grey’s Anatomy co-star Sandra Oh: “We hugged for a long, long time.”

-Riverdale’s Camila Mendes and Charles Melton are dating in real life — and now their characters are hooking up on the show.

-Whoa, Khloe Kardashian is unrecognizable now.

–Louis C.K. hit the stage again and continued to double down on masturbation jokes, telling the crowd: “I like to jerk off, and I don’t like to be alone.” So, that’s swell.

-A small business owner blasted Goop for the way they treated her after asked if they could sell her tarot cards on their site — and then stopped paying her.

–Goldie Hawn revealed that she got a little TOO close for comfort during Kate Hudson’s recent birthing experience, prompting the doctor to say “Goldie, if you get any closer, you’re going to fall in!”

-I like this piece on performers that should get an Oscar nod on Tuesday morning but probably won’t. Brian Tyree Henry was only in If Beale Street Could Talk for 5 minutes, but I really want him to Judi Dench this thing.

–Ernie Hudson says the original Ghostbusters cast is “in” for Jason Reitman‘s sequel.

-Netflix is claiming that it’s “revealing” the viewership for shows like You, Sex Education and more, but this is all kinds of shady.  They say Sex Education is on pace to be watched by 40 million member households within its first month — but it’s only been airing for 12 days.

-Meanwhile, I just started watching Sex Education and it’s a delight.

–Ryan Reynolds‘ birthday tweet to Betty White is very adorable.

-Ohh, I had no idea that The Kid Who Would Be King is from the director who did Attack the Block. Now I’m intrigued!

–Keanu Reeves has a price on his head in the John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum trailer. They had me at samurai swords on motorcycles.

Supernatural Celebrates 300 Episodes with an EW Cover

-I don’t watch Supernatural but their EW photo spread is super fun. Also, 300 episodes is insane!

-This report is coming from the Daily Mail so digest accordingly, but sources claim that Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth are expecting their first child.

–Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin might be celebrating their marriage with a ceremony on Feb 28th.

-This is a bummer but not surprising: Julia Roberts is not expected to return for Homecoming’s second season. I’m ok with that; I adored her final scene.

-In a cute tweet, Amanda Seyfried reunited with her two onscreen dads, Hugh Jackman and Pierce Brosnan, at the airport.

–Ewan McGregor‘s daughter is not over the fact that he left her mother for Mary Elizabeth Winstead.

–Ellen Pompeo is having second thoughts about leaving Grey’s Anatomy.

–Roswell’s ratings aren’t exactly out of this world. They improved on Black Lightning, but that’s a low bar.

-I am very here for  the rest of the world finally discovering Schitt’s Creek. Also, this is a great profile on Dan Levy (though I would have asked 97% more questions about how he and Jessi Cruickshank kicked off the aftershow craze with The Hills).

-The new Spider-Man movie has trans actors, which is amazing.

-SMILF creator Frankie Shaw addressed those misconduct allegations on her set: “I was learning on the go.” Seriously Hollywood, stop hiring writers to run things without giving them basic management training.

-I’ve tried to listen to the “Inside of You With Michael Rosenbaum” podcast but it turns out that guy bugs me, so I missed Macaulay Culkin‘s recent episode. On it, he talked about his friendship with Michael Jackson: “I know it’s a big deal to everybody else, but it was a normal friendship…I was a peerless person. Nobody else in my Catholic school even had this much idea of what I was going through, and he was the kind of person who’d been through the exact same frickin’ thing and wanted to make sure I wasn’t alone.”

-Meanwhile, Sundance is standing behind their new Michael Jackson doc. Expect there to be an R Kelly-type reckoning when this thing drops.

–Margot Robbie wants people to stop asking her when/if she’s having kids now that she’s married: “Don’t presume. I’ll do what I’m going to do.” Word.

–Michelle Pfeiffer just joined Instagram and her first post is purr-fect.

-The trailer for Better Things season 3 made me laugh out loud — which is typical for this show.

-There’s a new trailer for the final season of Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt.

-Canadian PSA: Showcase is airing the new season of Luther, starting on Monday.

-It turns out that Jason Reitman has been secretly working on a new Ghostbusters movie — which the world found out about last night when the teaser dropped. Rumour has it, it will be centered around four teenagers.
