Cardi B, Gal Gadot, JLo, Tiffany Haddish & More Star in Maroon 5's New Video

Maroon 5 released their music video for their Cardi B collab “Girls Like You” on Wednesday, recruiting an all-star lineup of women to make cameos, including familiar famous faces like Gal Gadot, Jennifer Lopez, Tiffany Haddish, Millie Bobby Brown, Camila Cabello, Mary J. Blige, Elizabeth Banks, Sarah Silverman, Rita Ora, Aly Raisman, Beanie Feldstein, Chloe Kim and Ashley Graham, as well as activists like Angy Rivera and Franchesca Ramsey.

Justin Theroux and Emma Stone are still hanging out, but friends insist they are just friends. Whew! It looks like he might be getting cozy with Spiderman: Homecoming actress Laura Harrier (who, despite playing a teenager in that movie, is actually 28).

-According to TMZ, Drake has been financially supporting Sophie Brussaux, the mother of his rumored child, to the point that she lives “comfortably.” The source (who is clearly from Drake’s camp) added that he “plans to take a DNA test to figure out any possible future legalities” and that “he feels there’s a slight chance the kid is his.” (If he’s giving her money, I’m guessing he thinks the chances are more than “slight.”)

-Meanwhile, in a new interview Pusha T claims Drake’s upcoming Adidas campaign was supposed to be the “unveiling” of Drake’s son Adonis, and it was to be called “Adidon.” That’s … kinda gross.

-Also, Drake says the blackface photo was from his acting days from to draw attention to typecasting which frankly, I believe.

Nikki Bella and John Cena are back together, a month and a half after calling off their wedding.

-I like that GQ’s profileon Silicon Valley’s awkward star Zach Woods basically boils down to one line: “This guy fucks.”

-In a segment on her satirical show “Full Frontal” on Wednesday, Samantha Bee referred to Ivanka Trump as a “feckless c***” sparking outrage, including from TBS’ sister network CNN. Wait, I thought this sort of thing was just “locker room talk”?  Bee has since apologized (but not before Sally Field got out the best tweet ever).

-Did Michael Moore just give a hint about his next documentary? He tweeted: “I know Roseanne. And I know Trump. And they are about to rue the day they knew me.”

Jessica Alba is VERY 80s on the cover of InStyle. I don’t like it.

-The Ocean’s 8 press tour hasn’t even kicked into full gear and I’m already sick of how many times the cast has been asked about catfights and ego clashes on set. Do you think the Ocean’s 11 cast got those questions?

-I love that Ryan Murphy‘s Poseis getting such good reviews.

-Sorry Jason Bateman, but I no longer care.

-I like this piece about how the Bateman and Roseanne backlash means that we might be entering the reckoning phaseof the #MeToo movement.

-I’m so glad that the The Americans finale seems to be universally beloved. It might actually be one of my fave series finales ever. I also feel like it’s an end of an era in terms of TV coverage; I’m not sure there’s another show that is so universally embraced by the critical community that you can watch the finale and then be treated to such smart, insightful discourse the next day. Some articles I loved today came from NPR, New Yorker, Slate, The Ringer, and Vulture. Also, this deep dive into the finale’s best scene is worth reading after you watch it.

Chris Pratt’s 5-year-old son is not impressed by his dad’s acting abilities.

-The internet is loving that Mick Jagger leaves dorky dad comments on his teenage son’s Instagram posts.

-Well, this is disappointing. EDM musician Pogo says he hates gay people and cheered at the Pulse massacre.

Carrie Coon had the pick of TV shows to choose from and she went with … season two of The Sinner? Huh.

Ariana Grande posted a cutesy kissy photo with Pete Davidson in IG.

Amal Clooney was a guest at the royal wedding, and now she’s reportedly helping Meghan Markleadjust to life in London.

Morgan Neville’s new documentary on Mr. Rogers Won’t You Be My Neighbor is getting rave reviews, but I can barely make it through the trailer without tearing up.

-The trailer for Jennifer Garner’s new movie Peppermint(by the director who did Taken) is giving me Alias vibes and I have been waiting for her to do something like this FOR SO LONG!

Let’s Talk About Drake’s Rumoured Secret Son

-I usually stay out of hip hop beefs cause I don’t even go here, but this is too insane to overlook. First there was all the drama last weekend (Pusha T‘s new song claimed Drake uses a ghostwriter, Drake slammed Pusha T for his new album art which features a photo that Kanye West bought for $85k of Whitney Houston‘s drug-filled bathroom, then came news that Kanye has abandoned the Chicago charity created in his mother’s name, and Kim Kardashian, Nicki Minaj and Chrissy Teigen all waded into the fray). Then Drake released a rather mild diss track in which he basically said that Pusha isn’t really about that hard-living, drug-dealing life. In response, Pusha released his OWN diss track last night — and he went all in. He raps about how Drake’s best friend is dying from multiple sclerosis, reminds Drake that his dad left him when he was five, and then puts it on blast that Drake himself is a deadbeat dad, mentioning a secret son named Adonis that Drake is rumoured to have had with a porn star (reportedly Sophie Brussaux). In the words of Ron Burgundy: that escalated quickly! Here’s everything we know about Drake‘s rumoured secret baby.

-There’s been some good takes on Roseanne’s cancellation. I like this one, which reiterates that ABC made a business decision not a moral one, and Roxanne Gay’s take in the NYT: “I am more interested in the statement ABC could have made by never making the reboot in the first place.”

-Last night on Twitter, Roseanne blamed Ambien for her racist tweet (and the pharmaceutical company had a great comeback). She also released an apology, which she then undercut by accusing costars Michael Fishman and Sara Gilbert of  throwing her under the bus. And today she says she feels like “fighting back.” So clearly, she’s really learned about the consequences of her actions.

-Roseanne stars Sara Gilbert, Laurie Metcalf and John Goodman  expect to be paid for the upcoming scrapped season even though they didn’t start shooting it yet, while what, if anything, the writers will receive remains less clear.

-I don’t necessarily agree with Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s THR column questioning ABC’s decision, but I’m here for the paragraph calling Jason Bateman out: “A few days [after apologizing for “mansplaining”] Bateman appeared on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert to tell a funny story about a minor traffic crash he was in with Will Arnett. During the entirety of telling the story, he continued to refer to Arnett as a woman because Arnett acted frightened and weak after the accident. Bateman was clearly joking and meant no harm, but there is harm when your idea of insulting someone is to say they are weak like women.”

-Seeing as I now have negative interest in the new Arrested Development episodes, I’m glad that the new season of Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt is getting such glowing reviews.

Eminem tweeted about a weird, accidental moment he once shared with Val Kilmer while in a backstage trailer at an award show. “I know Val Kilmer saw me naked. I just had to get that off my chest.” Kilmer swears he saw nothing.

-Simon Cowell has no good words for American Idol. “I’m genuinely not interested. I think when we were on it years ago, it was a fun show. It was different, it was kind of naïve, lots of surprises. I kind of think we’ve been there, I’ve been there, time for something new.” I mean, he then went on to praise Britain’s Got Talent and America’s Got Talent, so…

Mariah Carey reportedly sold James Packer’s engagement ring for over $2 million. Bless her.

Jacob Tremblay finally found Ryan Reynolds in Japan.

Mario Batali is currently under investigation by the NYPD following a new wave of sexual misconduct allegations. Seven women allege the former TV chef groped them in a new report.

Harvey Weinstein has been indicted by a grand jury on charges of rape and criminal sexual act.

-I really liked this interview with Steven Yeun. I hope he has an enormous post-Walking Dead career.

Kim Kardashian West met with officials, including senior adviser Jared Kushner, at the White House today to discuss prison reform. We live in the upside down.

-I still watch many of the CW superhero shows (begrudgingly, sometimes) but this photo of Arrow’s new writing room has been genuinely intrigued. It’s mostly women! And there’s actually some POC! What’s happening?!? (Also, all of the replies from whiny comic fanboys worried that they’re turning the show into a soap opera feed my soul.)

Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson just made it Instagram official, posting a pic in matching Harry Potter outfits.

-You can watch the first 15 minutes of Dietland, which stars Julianna Margulies and Joy Nash, debuting on June 4 on AMC. I’m very in on this.

-The Americans comes to a close tonight and I’m not ready. This was a show that wowed me from the beginning, lost me when it started to feel like homework, and then lured me back for its final (and best?) season. This exit interview with Keri Russell and Matthew Rhys really hit me right in the heart guts.

Keri Russell played “Did I Murder You?” on Kimmel and it was very funny. I love her reaction when the Scott Speedman photo pops us.

-The This Is Us creator says they have already filmed ‘pieces’ of the show’s final scene, which makes sense to me, especially if he expects certain cast members won’t be around anymore by then.

-I am totally on board for Keanu Reeves‘ sudden interest in rom-coms. He just signed on to star in a Netflix one from Ali Wong and Randall Park, which costars Daniel Dae Kim and Charlyne Yi. I like ALL of those names!

Alan Rickman‘s personal letters reveal that he was frustrated with his role as Snape in the Harry Potter films.

Anna Kendrick and Blake Lively star in the trailer for A Simple Favor.

Diane Kruger and Norman Reedus Are Having a Baby

-It looks like the rumours were true. Us Weekly is reporting that Diane Kruger is expecting her first child with The Walking Dead’s Norman Reedus.

-It’s a big day for Norman. He reportedly negotiated a huge pay raise ($20 million) to stay on The Walking Dead as news surfaced that Andrew Lincoln is leaving the show after season 9.

-Holy crap, did I NOT expect ABC to cancel Roseanne today. Yes, what she tweeted this morning was horrible, but she often tweets horrible things. There’s a lot of speculation that there’s more to this story and it wasn’t an out-of-nowhere decision by the network. Whitney Cummings quit as co-showrunner earlier this month, ratings weren’t as strong as when it debuted, and despite being the show ABC touted the strongest to advertisers at the upfronts, they had to be worried that an ignorant comment from Roseanne Barr in the future would spark an advertiser boycott a la Laura Ingraham‘s show. I mean, *something* else besides a terrible tweet had to be at play and in the works. ABC knew exactly who they were getting into bed with when they launched the show, and allowed a whole bunch of crap to go down before now, including the show’s Fresh Off The Boat/Blackish slam, and it’s fairy tale season finale. That being said, it’s still huge that they pulled the trigger. It was TV’s #1-rated and most watched comedy, prime time’s #3 program overall, and the ratings had stabilized. This means that ABC is going into the fall season without their biggest show, without Shonda Rhimes, and maybe without Black-ish creator Kenya Barris. That’s gotta hurt.

-The reaction to Roseanne’s cancellation was swift, with her talent agency dropping her, Paramount Network, TV Land, and CMT all pulling Roseanne from their respective schedules as of tomorrow,  ABC scrubbing all traces of the show from its press site, and in Canada CTV immediately pulling it from all its platforms.

-ABC is having a day! Bachelorette’s frontrunner Garrett Yrigoyen is under fire for liking social media posts that mock immigrants and the trans community.

Lili Reinhart says she isn’t pregnant with Cole Sprouse’s baby — she just took a bad photo. This is why bump watch is *the worst*.

-In her new Harpers Bazaar interview, Jenna Dewan reflects on the end of her marriage to Channing Tatum: “We’re just getting used to it. We’re in a very positive energy together, trying to be the best parents to Everly. We support each other.”

-Morgan Freeman’s lawyer is demanding CNN retract their sexual harassment story. How can he do this? He already apologized. Plus, there is VIDEO of him hitting on reporters at junkets. “You got a dress that’s halfway between your knee and your p-hips, and you sit down right across from me, and you cross your legs.”

Elle Fanning posting funny pics of Angelina Jolie on the Malificent 2 set is what we all need.

Uma Thurman is the latest movie star to head to the small screen. She’s headline Netflix’s new supernatural series Chambers.

-This piece on TMZ’s shift to pro-Trump media is fascinating.

Justin Theroux is vacationing in France with Spiderman: Homecoming actress Laura Harrier.

Robert Pattinson travels to west to marry Mia Wasikowska in the Damsel trailer.
