-Without confirming or denying any rumours, Tessa Thompson opened up about her relationship with Janelle Monae. “We love each other deeply, we’re so close. We vibrate on the same frequency. If people want to speculate about what we are, that’s okay. It doesn’t bother me.”

-I’ve been listening to Drake’s new album all day. So far, Summer Games and Don’t Matter To Me are the standouts.

–Beyonce‘s Crazy In Love has been named as the best track of the century so far. That tracks.

–Kathy Griffin claims that Kim Kardashian doesn’t know how to spell her own name. That tracks, too.

-Time Magazine just named the most influential people on the internet, and they include Rihanna, Busy Philipps, Kanye West, BTS and Matt Drudge.

-Late night hosts continue to join forces to fight Trump. Following this week’s earlier team up between Jimmy Fallon, Conan O’Brien and Stephen Colbert, Jon Stewart took over The Late Show to insist “we will prevail.”

–Patricia Clarkson says she saw Justin Timberlake naked on a film set once and was impressed. “If we want to talk about big…”  And yet, dude has zero BDE. Go figure.

-This is cute. The Back Street Boys performed songs a capella with fans in an elevator for MTV.

–Hailey Baldwin wants everyone to know that she and Shawn Mendes are not an item following her reconciliation with Justin Bieber. Well, ok then.

-Whoa. YouTube just ordered a Jordan Peele sci-fi anthology. So now I have to subscribe to paid YouTube too? Sigh.

-Yay! The first trailer for Juliet, Naked is out. I loved loved loved this book.

‘Breaking Bad’ Stars Reunite For 10th Anniversary Shoot

-The stars of Breaking Bad reunited for a special 10th anniversary cover for EW, and got adorably emotional talking about how lucky they were to land those roles. (Poor Dean Norris’ Hank didn’t make the cover photo cut, but he’s part of the video roundtable.)

-Speaking of great covers, Kendrick Lamar made the cover of the new issue of Vanity Fair, in which he discusses everything from Kanye West to winning a Pulitzer Prize.

–Scarlett Johansson denied a “demeaning” the infamous claim she once auditioned to date Tom Cruise. That rumour has been floating around for years; I wonder why she chose to speak up this time.

–Angelina Jolie  dressed up all fancy for the Queen and I can’t believe I’m saying this, but I don’t think she pulled it off.

-Top Gun 2 has narrowed its young lead casting down to Nicholas Hoult, Glen Powell and Miles Teller. Powell FTW, please!

-Undercover lovers Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx are surrounded by rumours of a split, but her rep just said that it’s “100% untrue.” Wait, is this the first time that her rep is actually acknowledging the relationship? Momentous!

–Portia de Rossi laughed off rumors that she and Ellen DeGeneres are headed for a divorce.

–Ty Dolla $ign tried to get a blind woman moved out of her seat on an Air Canada flight from Montreal to Ottawa because he said he was allergic to her seeing-eye dog. Good lord, that flight is under an hour!

–Jeffrey Tambor has lost another gig following sexual misconduct allegations.

-MSNBC’s Joy Reid had a strong story about sexual assault claims against Russell Simmons and an Extra host. Then it got canned. This THR report dives deep into #MeToo, media, race and power.

-Tool frontman James Keenan has responded to those rape allegations, calling it a “despicable false claim.”

-I gave up on Netflix’s GLOW in the middle of season one not because I didn’t like it but because I got side-tracked, but the reviews of the new season are glowing.

–Mark Hamill and Chris Evans’ nerdy Twitter exchange about light sabres made my day.

-Too good at goodbyes? Sam Smith and Brandon Flynn have reportedly called it quits after nine months of dating.

-Have you guys watched the Nanette comedy special on Netflix? It’s what everyone on my Twitter TL has been raving about this week.

-Unsurprisingly, that tabloid story about Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes expecting twins has been debunked.

–Fox just ghosted on Adam Scott‘s sitcom Ghosted. It was the last non-animated comedy on its current schedule.

–Azealia Banks has launched a GoFundMe to fund a lawsuit against Russell Crowe. “Crowe called me a n*****, choked me, and spat on me,” she writes on the page.

-Whatever (or wherever) Apple’s TV is going to be, their lineup is pretty damn solid.

–Cate Blanchett and Jack Black star in the new trailer for kids’ flick The House with a Clock in its Walls.

–Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson performed a duet to an Evanescence song at her birthday party.  Fun (depressing) fact: they were both 10 when that song came out.

-Meanwhile, Ariana and Pete unintentionally unleashed the big dick energy talk that’s all over Twitter today.

–50 Cent is a piece of poo.

-Riverdale’s Camila Mendes says her costar Charles Melton called her personally to apologize for his stupid, fat-shaming tweets — which kind of confuses me. He wasn’t directing them to her.

-I am so glad that Antman and the Wasp is getting such great reviews.

-Here’s what Kristen Wiig will look like as Cheetah in Wonder Woman 1984. (Spoiler alert: she looks like Kristen Wiig in 80s clothes.)

–Mel B claims a Spice Girls reunion is “finally” happening. When asked about Victoria Beckham‘s recent denial of touring rumours, Mel responded: “She’s always bloody saying that. Stop it! We are touring!”

-Anyone else weirded out by People magazine’s headline about Victoria’s “date night” with her son Brooklyn?

–Bella Thorne’s show Famous In Love has been cancelled by Freeform — and there’s talk that it was because of the actress’ behavior on set. The showrunner took to Twitter to deny that they had a tense relationship.

–Jared Leto has landed a Spider-Man spinoff movie, proving that the atonement/forgiveness window for Hollywood white dudes just keeps getting shorter and shorter.

–Prince Harry denied that his honeymoon destination was Namibia — but wouldn’t confirm where they actually went.

–Oprah Winfrey (or at least her voice) will have a cameo on The Handmaid’s Tale in an upcoming episode.

-I seriously don’t get what these pissy Star Wars fans think they’re going to accomplish? If you don’t like what’s happening in canon, do what women and marginalized audiences who don’t see themselves onscreen have been doing for years — turn to fanfiction.

–John Boyega taught kids how to train like a Jedi as part of a an initiative to help them become more physically active.

–Damon Dash is reportedly suing Lee Daniels for $5 million over an unmade Richard Pryor biopic. I guess that explains that video of their confrontation at a recent Diana Ross concert.

–Joe Jackson, Michael’s father and the patriarch of the Jackson 5, has died at 89.

–Heather Locklear was reportedly hospitalized just hours after being released from custody yesterday.

-Aw crap. In a series of tweets, a woman accused Tool frontman James Keenan of raping her at a concert when she was 17 years old.  He has yet to respond.

-This thread on friendships made me smile.

-It’s interesting that Julia Roberts is suddenly embracing social media. She once told InStyle: “It’s like people talking about a TV show: I can be perfectly aware of the TV show and the story, but it doesn’t mean I watch it…Everyone has Instagram on their phone. [if I had it] I would be looking at it all the time.”
