Kristen Stewart’s New Film Booed at Cannes

–Kristen Stewart‘s new film Personal Shopper was booed at Cannes — but critics loved it (and Cannes is pretty boo-happy to begin with). She’s already brushed off the boos.

–Kerry Washington posted her new AdWeek cover on Instagram and shared her dismay at its obvious Photoshopping, saying “It felt strange to look at a picture of myself that is so different from what I look like when I look in the mirror.” It’s ironic too, since the article is all about how tightly and strategically she controls her brand. (It’s definitely worth a read. I love any celeb who not only acknowledges their social media manager, but shouts them out by name.)

-Meanwhile, AdWeek says they just made “minimal adjustments.”

–Ben Affleck and Ryan Seacrest are new clubbing buddies? This will end well.

-In a delightful new interview, Jake Gyllenhaal admits he had a crush on Jennifer Aniston ‘for years’, and talks how Heath Ledger’s death affected him.

-A Toronto city worker says he was taking photos of the sunset when a helicopter landed and Drake emerged and demanded he delete the photos. This paragraph paints the best mental picture ever: “Fearing conflict, he turned his back to continue taking pictures of the cityscape. That’s when Drake removed his fur coat, charged a portion of the fence without the barbed wire and scaled it.”

–Kesha’s case against Sony and Dr. Luke has been thrown out, and the judge’s comments are pretty terrible. “Every rape is not a gender-motivated hate crime.” Really? Cause it kinda is.

-I still haven’t caught up on The People vs OJ, but Vulture has a great interview with Marcia Clark. And another with a real juror.

-I really like Blake Lively‘s Harry Potter manicure. Dammit, she might be wearing me down.

-Jesus, just when I thought the situation with The 100 couldn’t get any worse, one of the stars just spilled some truth tea all over an interview and bashed the showrunner. If what he says is true and the network executives encouraged him to explore other roles, that’s both telling and damning.

-The showrunner in question just issued a statement wishing the actor “all the best” while completely avoiding the accusations of bullying on set. Has any show ever gone from ‘critically adored’ to ‘tire fire’ so quickly?!

-Unclench, y’all. Rebel Wilson isn’t starring in an Adele biopic.
–Aisha Tyler‘s is kickstarting a movie she wants to direct and we should all support it because she’s incredible.

-I like this article/rant about the molasses-slow pacing of streaming TV, inspired by The Path. I’ve only watched the premiere but damn, it’s soporific.

Jennifer Aniston Talks Movies and Marriage in Harper’s Bazaar

–Jennifer Aniston says she “bows her head in slight shame” over some of her movie choices. We do too, Jen.

-In her New York Times profile, Gwen Stefani is the trolliest of trolls, calling her split from Gavin Rossdale “a really good, juicy story.” She adds: “If I could, I would just tell you everything, and you would just be in shock.” Gurl, you need to spill or get off the PR pot.

–Blake Lively wore a bathrobe to the White House. But it was a fancy bathrobe, so there’s that.

-Everyone is giving Henry Cavill shit for this interview for saying, “I’m not just doing this for the art. The money’s fantastic.” That’s some refreshing honest soundbiting. It’s not like dude’s doing Shakespeare.

–Gwyneth Paltrow shared her tips for wellness on the road, including this totally down-to-earth gem: “When I fly, I try to find a sauna to sit in for 20 minutes to help me sweat out all the germs from the plane.”

–Jessica Alba’s Honest Company is in trouble again, this time for allegedly not being honest about the chemicals in her laundry detergent.

–Tim Burton just announced Beetlejuice 2 and I’m cautiously optimistic because I’m a sucker.

–Diane Kruger gave an interview in which she implied that she recently moved in with Joshua Jackson, her boyfriend of 10 years. There’s also some talk about marriage. BUT THEN she posted on Instagram  “Unfortunately, the interview is completely misleading on some issues.” I give up.

-The Guardian’s secret actress column lost me with her latest assertion that Netflix has ushered in gender equality. Yeah, no.

-The CW just granted early renewals to ALL of it’s shows, including the little-watched Crazy Ex-Girlfriend (yay!) and Reign (I literally had no idea that was still on). Basically, they just became the first broadcast network to look at traditional ratings and be like:

-Speaking of The CW, there is some kind of fan event happening right now with the cast of The 100, and all of the stars are badmouthing the showrunner, which the fans are live-tweeting. Hilarious.

-Gotham costars Ben McKenzie and Morena Baccarin have welcomed a baby girl. Wait, Ben’s real last name is Schenkkan?!

–Jason Katims, who did Friday Night Lights and Parenthood, is casting his new show. But why oh why is it on CBS?

–Stephen Colbert is getting a lot of action this week. First he kissed Helen Mirren, then he serenaded Anna Kendrick.

-Well, this is terrifying. Rebel Wilson thinks she was drugged at a “trendy” unnamed club.

–Tom Hanks is looking for answers in the trailer for A Hologram for the King.
