–Tiffany Haddish, who is a spokesperson for Bumble, recently went on a virtual date with Common and I can’t tell if it’s an ad or real but I’m shipping them so hard.

–Judi Dench‘s grandson says this will be his last TikTok with her, but I really hope that’s not true.

–Lizzo and SZA went on IG Live to have an Earth Day mediation, which included Lizzo playing the flute and SZA playing singing bowls. It’s weirdly calming.

-The Good Fight is off this week, but here’s a video of the cast singing “You Are My Sunshine.”

–Shakira is spending her social distancing time productively; she just graduated from an online ancient philosophy course from the University Of Pennsylvania.

–Beyonce‘s BeyGOOD foundation has partnered with Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey’s to donate $6 million in funding to organizations providing mental wellness services for essential workers.

–Madonna is teaming up with REFORM Alliance are donating 100,000 surgical masks to jails and prisons in Illinois, Louisiana, California, New York and Massachusetts.

–John Cho penned a powerful essay about Asian-American discrimination during the pandemic.

-Critics are saying Netflix’s new high school sitcom Never Have I Ever is more sincere and focused than co-creator Mindy Kaling‘s other shows. The reviews are overwhelmingly positive.

–Allison Janney totally forgot she was in 10 Things I Hate About You, commenting on a clip she was tagged in “I don’t understand! What is this????? What am I in that I forget I was in?”

-The cast of the 90210 reboot did a Zoom to answer fan questions, and Shenae Grimes and Dustin Milligan struggled to figure out where his character actually ended up.

–Uma Thurman gave her daughter Maya Hawke a haircut — and fans think the look is very Kill Bill.

-Saturday Night Live is planning a second at-home broadcast this weekend.

–Chris Evans and Chris Hemsworth both have projects dropping tomorrow. Evan’s new Apple show is getting decent reviews, while Hemworth’s Netflix action flick is faring better.

–Anna Kendrick stars in the trailer for HBO Max’s upcoming show, Love Life.

Dwayne Johnson on Fame and Fans

–Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson talking about how one bad experience made him change how he deals with fans who approach him for selfies or autographs is really worth a listen. “It took all of 30 seconds for me to realize that I had an opportunity to make somebody feel good and I made them feel bad and what an a-hole that made me…Now they all get the same treatment and that treatment is gratitude. The alternative to that is I go back to having seven bucks in my pocket and nobody giving a sh-t to get my autograph or get my picture. On top of that, here’s the truth. Taking a picture, a selfie, or signing an autograph is literally one of the easiest parts of my job. I do a lot of things that are a lot harder.”

-The bloom continues to fall off the rose when it comes to Ellen Degeneres‘ public reputation. Variety posted a story last night about her show’s crew members (some of whom have been with her for 17 years) being outraged over their treatment during coronavirus. They received no communication about their hours or pay for over a month. She further angered them by bringing in non-union crew members to help with her current at-home taping of the show — which they learned about via social media. “Be kind” indeed.

-People are making fun of January Jones‘ latest Instagram video but I find this kind of unhinged entertainment delightful.

-Speaking of delightful celebrity quarantine content, Kathryn Hahn and her family did Glengarry Glen Ross with dolls.

-Last night’s Disney Family Singalong on ABC was surprisingly awesome. Ariana Grande harmonized with herself while singing “I Won’t Say I’m in Love” from Hercules, Beyonce made a surprise appearance to sing “When You Wish Upon a Star,” and the cast of High School Musical cast reunited to sing “We’re All In This Together.”

-For the first time in 50 years, San Diego Comic-Con has been cancelled. It’s the right thing to do. Plus, what will movie studios and TV shows have to promote?

-Meanwhile, Taylor Swift has cancelled all her 2020 appearances and concerts.

-Outlander star Sam Heughan sounds like he’s been dealing with a lot of fan harassment and is sick of it. I don’t watch the show so I don’t know much about that fandom, but I’ve certainly seen some people on Twitter get very, very invested in theories about him and his costar dating — and get very, very angry when she married someone else last year.

–Fiona Apple released a new album today and the reviews are glowing. Even Pitchfork gave it a rare 10/10. (The title comes from a line Gillian Anderson says in The Fall, which the actress tweeted today.)

-Lucifer season 6 may be in jeopardy over a potential Tom Ellis contract dispute.

-Critics are really liking Mindy Kaling’s new Netflix show.

–Martha Stewart is getting flak for telling Seth Meyers that she’s sheltering with her driver, housekeeper and gardener at her estate in the Bedford, N.Y., area and referring to them as her “detainees.” She added “They’re not sick of it yet but when I see the edges fraying, I’ll give them a day off.” Oof.

-Deep fakes are so, so weird but this re-imagined Parks & Rec intro with every character replaced by Ron is very clever.

–Meghan Markle appeared on a video call to raise funds for the delivery of food to poor, elderly and vulnerable Londoners during the coronavirus epidemic.

-Speaking of Zoom calls, Seth Rogen showed Jimmy Kimmel how he likes to prank people in video meetings.

Celebs Sing, We Cringe

–Gal Gadot got a bunch of celebrities to join her to sing “Imagine” — and the response was probably not what they all were expecting. As many, many people have pointed out, a better use of these celebs’ time would have been to donate (or encourage donations) for medical supplies or food banks or the scores of people who are being laid off these days.

-Speaking of donating medical supplies, TV doctor dramas The Resident, Grey’s Anatomy, Station 19 and The Good Doctor are donating the masks and gowns from their props departments to real hospitals for use.

–Kumail Nanjiani and wife Emily Gordon are also doing something useful: they’re starting a podcast to raise money for various charities that help those affected by this quarantine.

–Ben Affleck and Ana de Armas look all loved up while on a quick coffee run in LA. I can’t imagine adding a quarantine to a new relationship, but so far they seem to be staying strong.

–Liam Gallagher is pushing Noel to join him for a Oasis reunion charity gig. Is it possible it took the world being on fire for these two to reunite?

-It’s been a weird day for Lost alums. Evangeline Lilly posted on Instagram that she won’t self-quarantine, saying “Just dropped my kids off at gymnastics camp. They all washed their hands before going in. They are playing and laughing. #businessasusual”. When people called her out in the comments, she replied “Some people value their lives over freedom, some people value freedom over their lives. We all make our choices…Where we are right now feels a lot too close to Marshall Law [sic] for my comfort already, all in the name of a respiratory flu.” She also implied it was all a big conspiracy, saying “There’s ‘something’ every election year.” Meanwhile, her father — who has stage 4 cancer — is living with her. 😬

-Meanwhile, her former Lost costar Daniel Dae Kim has tested positive for coronavirus — and used his announcement to call out discrimination: “Yes, I’m Asian, and yes I have coronavirus, but I did not get it from China. I got it in America. In New York City. And despite what some political leaders want to call it, I don’t consider the place where it’s from as important as the people who are sick and dying.”

–Jimmy Fallon is shooting his show at home and couldn’t get through last night’s monologue because his children were crawling all over him.

–Simon Pegg and Nick Frost shot a Shaun of the Dead-themed coronavirus PSA.

-Pose star Angelica Ross posted a cute photo of herself and her new boyfriend on Twitter. But then someone who knows him pointed out that he seems to be living a double life. She later tweeted, “The internet is AMAZING. I’ve been talking to the mother of his son and fiancé all morning. #PlotTwist!”

-Last night’s Survivor was insane. Actually insane. I can’t believe I’m not only watching this show again, but loving it this hard.
