Zoe Kravitz Talks Packing and Pussy Island

Zoe Kravitz covers WSJ Magazine to promote her upcoming film Pussy Island, starring Channing Tatum. She talks about how she hates packing before a trip (“I always talk about packing with friends of mine, about how it brings up all this anxiety—this is a whole concept I have—about who we want to be as people. You start to think, I’m going to this place, and who do I want to be in this place?”) and her relationship with Tatum (“I guess what I’ll say is when you make things with people it’s a very sacred space, and when you’re compatible with somebody creatively it often opens up other channels, because you’re kind of sharing all of yourself. I’m really grateful that this movie has brought him into my life that way”).

Michelle Yeoh’s Town & Country photoshoot is a thing of beauty. Meanwhile in the interview, she says she once asked Quentin Tarantino why he didn’t cast her opposite Uma Thurman in Kill Bill. “He’s very smart. [He said] ‘Who would believe that Uma Thurman could kick your ass?'”

-ET has the most thorough breakdown of the FBI’s case file about the incident between Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie that took place on a plane in 2106, which includes some disturbing details I hadn’t heard before, including that Jolie alleged he was ranting that one of the children “looks like a f**king Columbine kid,” she said he punched the ceiling multiple times, and she claimed she tried to put him in a choke hold when he lunged at one of the kids.

Omid Scobie now mostly covers the royals, but in 2016 he worked at Us Weekly and today he tweeted that Pitt’s team “silenced” a lot of negative reporting about him after the plane incident. Judging by this week’s pro-Pitt coverage, it feels like history is repeating itself.

-I can’t stop thinking about this piece from a couple of years ago about how good Pitt is at controlling his image.

-Not everything is coming up Pitt. He’s set to pay a $20.5M settlement for faulty post-Hurricane Katrina homes.

-Did Cardi B just get a face tattoo?

-This is a great interview with Betsy Brandt and what it was like to revisit her Breaking Bad character. The only bad thing about the black and white scenes was that I couldn’t tell if she was wearing any purple, so I’m so glad she answered that.

-Wow, no wonder people are hating on the Netflix romance Purple Hearts. This sounds terrible.

-HBO’s Game of Thrones prequel House Of The Dragon debuts this weekend, and there’s still no reviews. The latest trailer does heavy up on dragons, though.
