-Awful news: Anne Heche has been declared brain dead at 53, although she remains on life support for organ donation, a rep for the actress said on Friday. I know she had some personal demons, but Men At Work was a delightful show and she seemed like a really sweet person. I got a pedicure next to her once and she was so nice, chatting with everyone around her and really gracious to the employees. She leaves behind two sons.
-Celebs including Ellen DeGeneres, Garcelle Beauvais, Keo Motsepe, Carrie Ann Inaba, and James Tupper, have been posting tributes to the actress.
–Tiffany Haddish is on the cover of Cosmopolitan and says she likes to “check and verify” with people before telling jokes about them. “If I can’t say it to your face, I shouldn’t be able to say it. Period. That’s how I draw the line.” She added, “I got this joke, ‘I curse you out with joy. I hope that you spread it. –Michelle Branch was arrested for domestic assault after slapping Black Keys drummer Patrick Carney, who she is splitting from after three years of marriage. She had previously tweeted (then deleted) that he had cheated on her with his manager while she “was at home with our six month old daughter”.
–Salman Rushdie was attacked and stabbed at least twice by a man who jumped on stage Friday before the author was about to give a lecture in western New York. He is undergoing surgery.
–Beyonce released a teaser for her “I’m That Girl” video.
-Congrats to Tatiana Maslany, who told Stephen Colbert that she had secretly married boyfriend Brendan Hines. “There’s certain things you want to kind of keep private, but we felt like you were the right person to tell it to.”
-Never Have I Ever’s Poorna Jagannathan says she told Mindy Kaling and Lang Fisher that she didn’t want to become a “Disney mom”: “I have too many stories inside me to tell and, I feel like, so little time to tell them.”
-It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia’s Rob McElhenney filled in for Jimmy Kimmel this week and his Sunny costar/real life wife Kaitlin Olson spent her interview dunking on him.
