Kanye West’s Sunday Service the Hottest Ticket in Hollywood

-I kinda want to go to Kanye West‘s Sunday church service.

-It’s probably not a great sign when even soft celebrity outlets like E! News are doing investigative reports on Prince William and Prince Harry‘s deteriorating relationship.

–Ariana Grande has updated her Pete Davidson-inspired “always” tattoo.

-The first poster for Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time In Hollywood starring Brad Pitt and Leonardo DiCaprio has been released, and it’s rul bad. Why are they standing so far apart that one of Pitt’s shoulders doesn’t even fit in the frame? Why is the photoshop so bad that it looks like someone just pasted his face on another person’s body? How does this happen in 2019?

–John Stamos pretended (I hope?) to get a giant Nick Jonas tattoo. I guess that’s one way to take the spotlight off Aunt Becky.

–Dolly Parton wrote “I Will Always Love You” and “Jolene” on the same day? She must have been dealing with some STUFF.

–Reese Witherspoon is having fun with false reports about her and Jennifer Garner being pregnant.

–Kat Von D says she is not a Nazi or an anti-vaxxer in an 11-minute Youtube video.

-Following a damning article which claimed Warner Bros studio chief Kevin Tsujihara promised auditions for an actress he was engaged in a sexual relationship with, Tsujihara is exiting his role.

-This list of reasons why no one will die in Avengers: Endgame (not even Tony or Steve) makes a lot sense.

-Speaking of good Marvel theories, this thread on the use of orange vs. purple during Gamora‘s scenes is masterful.

-Former That’s So Raven star Kyle Massey has been sued for $1.5 million for allegedly “attempting to commit a lewd act with a minor.”

-SNL is — once again — being accused of stealing jokes.

-The next #Bandersnatch: Netflix will air an interactive series “You vs. Wild” starring Bear Grylls in which the audience will have a chance to choose the storyline.

–Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell are the cutest lil jellybeans ever.

-In an effort to stay on as star of The Flash on the big screen, Erza Miller has taken it upon himself to write his own script with the help of comics author Grant Morrison.

–Dean Cain thought it would be a good idea to drag Eggboy. It wasn’t.

–Diane Kruger showed off her perfect abs with an IG post — 4 months after giving birth. She says she doesn’t have a trainer. Still, I’d love to know how many hours a day she spent in the gym to look like this.

-I haven’t watched Shrill yet because it’s on Hulu which is hard to get here, but everyone on Twitter who’s seen it is raving about this pool party scene in particular. I really like this review.

–Jaime King and her daughter fight zombies in the trailer for Netflix’s Black Summer.

 

Is Charlie Hunnam Cancelled?

-Jesus, Charlie Hunnam. I really didn’t want to end the week badly, but then you went ahead and praised Jordan Peterson in an interview. WHY?!?!?

-This is incredibly sad: One Direction star Louis Tomlinson‘s sister FĂ©licitĂ© died of a suspected heart attack. She was only 18.

–Soulja Boy was arrested on Friday for violating his parole.

-Look, between the college entry scandal and James Gunn being reinstated as the director of Guardians of Galaxy vol 3, I seriously can’t remember a week with more WTF? breaking news. Gunn returning to the fold is a good thing; his firing was the result of bs outrage manufactured by alt-right douchenozzles.

–Insiders tell THR that Marvel/Disney never actually undertook a search for someone to replace the filmmaker and had gone back to Gunn and made a deal…in secret.

-It’s weird to be at the “all my teen crushes now play dads” phase of life. Freddie Prinze Jr. will play Nancy Drew’s hot dad in upcoming CW pilot.

-This is a good article from the NYT’s TV critic about how Netflix is not your friend, no matter how cute their Twitter feed is.

-HBO revealed how long each Game of Thrones season 8 episode will be. Settle in — there will be a buncSoulja Boyh that run 2-hours.

-Yay for Canadian YouTube superstar Lilly Singh, who is getting her own NBC late night talk show!

–Lori Loughlin is reportedly being written out of the final season of Fuller House.

-Netflix has finally removed the 2013 Lac-Megantic train derailment footage from Bird Box.

–Milo Ventimiglia treated James Corden to a lap dance and Kate Beckinsale got to watch.

–Alicia Keys‘ son flirting with Taylor Swift at the iHeart Awards is all kinds of cute.

–Julia Roberts rightly believes that a movie like Pretty Woman wouldn’t fly these days: “I don’t think you could make that movie now, right? So many things you could poke a hole in, but I don’t think it takes away from people being able to enjoy it.”

–Lily James and Alicia Vikander get married in this clip from the Four Weddings and a Funeral reunion special for Red Nose Day.

-I always adore the stylist issue of The Hollywood Reporter. Julia Roberts, Emily Blunt, Regina King, Idris Elba and more joined their stylists to discuss their work.

-The Global Talent issue of Vogue features Scarlett Johansson, Doona Bae, Deepika Padukone, Lea Seydoux, Elizabeth Debicki and more on the covers.

–Chance the Rapper is having a big week. Days after getting married, he announced he and his new wife are expecting another baby.

-It was Shazam day in Toronto (where the film was shot). The cast met fans at Yonge-Dundas Square before tonight’s screening.

-Meanwhile, the new trailer includes some Aquaman shade.

-Speaking of superhero trailers, the new Avengers: Endgame trailer dropped this morning and when Captain Marvel appeared I made a noise I’ve never made before. It’s that good.

-Also, Marvel fixed the new Endgame poster after fans complained that Danai Gurira‘s name was left off.

–Ben Affleck appeared on Ellen and finally admitted that his full back tattoo is not a myth.

–Colin Farrell was also on the show, where he and Ellen dressed up audience members as clowns. I love that he commented what “good huggers” they are. *swoon*

–Mark Ruffalo talked about those Noah Centineo comparisons on Fallon: “He’s way better looking than I was. Are you kidding me? I wish I looked like that.”

-Netflix cancelled One Day at a Time, which is bad enough considering how much money they’re throwing at everything else. But the fact that they tried to blame viewership numbers (which they didn’t release) and then sent a tweet that seemed to plead for sympathy pissed a lot of people off. It’s been a while since I’ve seen so many TV critics this riled up.

-Hallmark has fired Lori Loughlin from all future projects following her involvement in the college scam scandal. She starred on series When Calls the Heart and in the Garage Sale Mystery series of TV movies.

-After reading this article, I really want to go to karaoke with Christine Baranski: “If I want to have the ultimate high, it would be Diana Ross singing ‘Ain’t No Mountain High Enough.’ That key change.”

-Well, this is depressing. Gwyneth Paltrow has a larger influence on what Canadians eat than our own food guide.

-In a new interview, Charlie Hunnam and Garrett Hedlund talk about my favourite paparazzi photos of all time. “We were photographed wrestling in our Speedos on the beach in Hawaii, which is unfortunate. It just, like, became a thing.”

-SNL’s Aidy Bryant ships costar Pete Davidson with Kate Beckinsale.

-Wayne’s World director Penelope Spheeris talked about why she quit the industry in a new interview: “Hollywood is a lonely, lonely desert, especially as a woman…I don’t need them. I really don’t. Especially now, what am I going to do? Work for a year on a movie and make $50,000? They can blow me! That’s a quote. You can print that.”
