Bill Murray Talks “Crazy-Handsome” George Clooney in Vanity Fair

bill-murray-vanity-fair

-I can’t wait to devour Bill Murray’s Vanity Fair cover story. (I mean, I’d be even more excited if he combined this interview with a good movie instead of just a Netflix holiday special, but I’m not greedy.)

Adele looks lovely on the new Rolling Stone cover, in which she talks about her fear of fame and her lack of a squad.

Brangelina’s By the Sea promo blitz continues with the release of photos of Angelina taken by Brad, a joint interview in which they talk about her cancer scare, and a family trip to a bookstore.

-Meanwhile, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt get emotional in the moody new By the Sea trailer.

-I love all of the weird Tom Cruise stories that have leaked from Leah Remini‘s book. He gets super angry when he wants cookies, and he plays adult hide-and-seek. Charming.

Leah also says her inspiration for leaving Scientology was Nicole Kidman.

-Meanwhile, here’s the first look at Tom and Nicole’s adopted daughter and her new hubby after their secret wedding. One assumes he isn’t an “SP.”

Halle Berry‘s first ex husband went on a Twitter rant about how she uses men and then tosses them aside. Cool story, bro.

-There’s more rumblings that Fox is eyeing an X Files spinoff starring Robbie Amell and Lauren Ambrose. I love both of those people but how about a brand new, original concept, Hollywood?

-The People’s Choice Awards nominations are out, reminding us all that the people are stupid and shouldn’t be allowed to decide things. The Age of Adaline going up against Straight Out of Compton for dramatic movie? Really?? (I’ll allow The Duff’s nomination in comedic movie, though. I’ll ride for that film forever.)

Jon Stewart signed a four-year production partnership with HBO that includes “topical short-form digital content… refreshed throughout the day.” The Daily Show, multiple times a day? Yes, please!

-It’s becoming increasingly harder to pretend Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton aren’t dating. Let’s keep trying though, k?

-Mean, Gwen talked about returning to work after her split: “I wanted to be in my bed, like, crying.”

-Ohhh, Lisa Kudrow just joined the Girl on the Train cast. Consider me intrigued!

-Jay Z’s leaked tour rider shows that he really only cares about his daughter, which is super sweet.

-Speaking of happy families, Jimmy Fallon is in damage control mode.

Mark Hamill and John Boyega have joined the campaign to let a terminally ill fan see The Force Awakens early.

Mark Ruffalo just reached 2M Twitter followers, and posted a lovely video message about it.

Jimmy Fallon and Bryan Cranston spent a lot of time bumping into each other’s butts during their fake soap opera skit.

Mindy Kaling once again proves she’s my spirit animal with her spoilers tweet.

-Ugh. I couldn’t even make it through all of the trailer to James Franco’s The Sound and The Fury (or, as Vulture calls it, his latest book report.)

-I love and adore everything about Robot Chicken’s take on CW shows.

Demi Lovato Calls Her Cosmo Cover “The Most Beautiful I Have Ever Felt”

demi-lovato-cosmo

Demi Lovato’s new Cosmo cover is re-igniting my desire to get a ribcage tat. Damn you, Demi! I’m too old for this shit.

Gwen Stefani fired her nanny after becoming suspicious of her relationship with Gavin Rossdale. Apparently, this is what every famous woman needs to do immediately.

-Meanwhile, they reportedly don’t have a prenup so shit’s about to get messy.

-In other ‘love is a sham’ news, Ben Affleck and the nanny reportedly left the Bahamas a few days before the divorce announcement and went to Vegas together.

-Meanwhile, I really liked this Grantland article on Gwen Stefani, Nicki Minaj, Jennifer Garner and the dilemma of the powerful woman.

Stephen Colbert just made my room very blurry with his tribute to Jon Stewart on last night’s The Daily Show.

-Also, here’s Stewart’s farewell speech. The perfect finale was The Daily Show’s second-most-watched episode ever.

-Meanwhile, George Clooney is set to be Stephen Colbert’s first guest on his new show. Good call. Remember how charming he was as Rosie O’Donnell’s first guest?

-This is lovely: Dr. Dre is donating his new album’s royalties to fund an arts center in Compton.

-It’s been way too long since we’ve seen Lupita Nyong’o, but this photo of her frolicking is a great comeback.

-I feel like the Blake Lively edition if Toast’s ‘If xx Was My Girlfriend’ might have been written by Blake Lively herself. All the mason jar references were pretty funny, though.

Salma Hayek says “I think [big movie studios] don’t want me, but I don’t really care.” Does that explain the Everly trailer?

-Everyone’s paying close attention to the Fantastic Four box office results this weekend because of the terrible reviews and the surprisingly complicated history of adapting it. It didn’t help that the director tweeted (and then quickly deleted) a comment last night implying that Fox ruined the movie.

Jennifer Aniston managed to convince Sia to perform “Chandelier” at her wedding. Also, she brought Courteney Cox, Chelsea Handler and Jason Bateman on her honeymoon, which isn’t weird at all.

-Uh oh. Sean Penn is dating a Canadian now.

-The Broad City lip sync battle is here, and it’s spectacular.

-Here’s an excerpt from Mindy Kaling’s new book. She’s talking about the Q&A that I went to!! Fine, just take my money now.

-I really liked While We’re Young — enough that it made me wonder if I had been wrong about Noah Baumbach movies all this time. The New Mistress America trailer re-confirms my original assumptions.

Elle Fanning struggles for family acceptance as a transgender teen in the About Ray trailer.

Taylor Swift Takes Us Behind The Scenes of Bad Blood

taylor-swift-squad

-It’s great that Taylor Swift keeps unloading all these “Bad Blood” bts goodies (maybe to make up for the fact that it’s her worst single in years?), but can we quit it with all the “squad” talk?

-The fact that the host of The Bachelor just spilled this much hate over UnREAL makes me heart the show even more. What a baby.

-TIFF just announced its first wave of movies. There’s some really good gets here (The Martian, Family Fang, Freeheld, Trumbo), but I’m surprised Angelina Jolie’s By the Sea didn’t make the first round. Also, the world premiere status struggle remains real.

-The TCA tour started today so expect a wave of TV news this week. First up was Netflix’s presentation. They said they hope to release a new Marvel series every six months, which would theoretically put the Jessica Jones premiere around October.

-Also, today’s Netflix presentation cemented their rep as a major player on the TV landscape. They went from having one original program in 2011 to 36 this year. That’s *insane* growth.

-Also from Netflix: they claim the Olsen twins are “teetering” towards the Full House reboot. God, why??

-Wait, so Jesse Eisenberg is basically recycling his Social Network character to play Lex Luthor in Batman v Superman?

-Even the hardest hater has to admit that Tom Cruise killed it during this lip sync battle with Jimmy Fallon.

-This isn’t really Mickey Rourke, right? RIGHT???!

Ellie Kemper adorably remembers having Jon Hamm as her high school drama teacher: “he was not ugly.”

Rachel McAdams just confirmed that she’s in talks to star in Doctor Strange. Get it, gurl.

Tove Lo‘s “Habits” is one of those songs I listened to on repeat for a month, which I’m now going to do with Kelly Clarkson’s cover of it.

Macklemore (remember him?) opened up about a recent drug relapse.

-Now that Jon Stewart is on his way out, all the scoop is floating to the surface. The latest (and weirdest)? President Obama held secret meetings with him at the White House.

Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Seth Rogen have a wild Christmas Eve in The Night Before‘s hilarious red band trailer.  Damn, that is some spot on Wrecking Ball analysis by Mindy Kaling and Lizzy Caplan.
