Cardi B Is Expecting Baby No. 2

–Cardi B pulled a Beyonce and announced her pregnancy at an awards show.

-Speaking of the BET Awards, Zendaya’s Versace dress was amazing.

–Queen Latifah accepted BET’s Lifetime Achievement Award last night and emphasized “Black is beautiful” in her speech.

–Jamie Lynn Spears addressed Britney’s conservatorship testimony in videos on her Instagram stories, saying  “I think it’s extremely clear since the day I was born I’ve only loved, adored, and supported my sister… I have nothing to gain or lose… This situation does not affect me.” Nice sentiment, but it doesn’t really square with her request last year to control more of her sister’s assets.

–John Mulaney and Olivia Munn were papped together — possibly on purpose.

–Ewan McGregor and Mary Elizabeth Winstead have announced that they have welcomed their first child, a son, together.

-Don’t expect Succession to last much longer. Writer and executive producer Georgia Pritchett said, “I think the maximum would be five seasons, but possibly more like four.” They’re currently filming season three.

–James Corden has responded to the claims that the his segment “Spill Your Guts” is “racist af.”

-F9 had a huge opening ($70m), breathing life back into theatres.

–Kaia Gerber wished Jacob Elordi a happy birthday with a sexy bed shot of him and a caption that called him “my love.” That’s one way to announce a relationship, I guess.

-Smallville’s Allison Mack apologized for her involvement with the NXIVM sex cult case ahead of her sentencing on Wednesday.

-Is NBC going to have any shows left? They’ve canceled Good Girls.

-I still feel like I have PSTD from Chris Carter during my X-Files fandom phase, but this is a very good piece from him in the NYT about UFOs.

-Kevin Can F**k Himself is much darker than I was expecting, but I really like it. This is a good piece on how it toggles between a sitcom and a dark drama.

-There are lots of reports that Olly Alexander is close to being unveiled as Jodie Whittaker’s replacement on Doctor Who. (He denies it.)

-I loved loved loved Starstruck on HBO Max/Crave. It’s a six-episode romcom about a normal girl who falls for a movie star and it’s soooo damn charming.

–Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins tells the origin story of the mysterious commando from the G.I Joe series. It stars Henry Golding.

-If you ever wanted to see Mark Wahlberg sing Lady Gaga, the Joe Bell trailer is for you.

-A hearing girl with deaf parents tries to become a singer in the trailer for Coda, which was a big hit at Sundance.

Prince Harry and Oprah Team Up for New Series

–Trevor Noah and Minka Kelly have split, according to People.

–Nick Jonas, who is hosting the Billboard Awards this weekend, was rushed to the hospital on Saturday after being injured on a set. He’s now home and recovering.

–Henry Cavill is done with commenters going after his girlfriend on Instagram. “I am very happy in love, and in life. I’d be enormously grateful if you were happy with me. -Fun! John Boyega and Joe Cornish are reteaming for an Attack of the Block sequel. I’m hoping Jodie Whittaker is back too.

–Scarlett Johansson accepted the Generation Award at this weekend’s MTV Movie & TV Awards — and hubby Colin Jost “mistook” it for the Nickelodeon Kids and slimed her at the end of her speech. This is the most I’ve liked either of them.

-They also premiered a new Black Widow clip during the awards, which seems to be hyping Florence Pugh’s character more than Scarlett’s.

-This Is Us’ Justin Hartley and his former The Young and the Restless costar Sofia Pernas are married. He was previously married his Passions costar Lindsay Korman before he wed Selling Sunset’s Chrishell Stause.

–Angelina Jolie‘s new movie tanked this weekend.

–Ewan McGregor says getting sober helped him understand how to play late American fashion designer Roy Halston.

-While interviewing Dylan Farrow, Drew Barrymore said she regrets working with Woody Allen.

–Last night’s Mare of Easttown actually made me scream out load.

-Evil is moving from CBS to Paramount Plus. I’m guessing that’s going to happen with a bunch of network renewals this month. If Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist gets a season 3, it will likely be on Peacock.

-One of the women who’s accusing T.I. & Tiny of sexual assault says the couple forced her to have sex with Nelly.

–Henry Golding transforms into a ninja warrior in the first trailer for Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins.

-In Variety’s Power of Women in comedy issue, Mindy Kaling says she’s been busier than ever during quarantine, executive producing “The Sex Lives of College Girls” and Never Have I Ever, as well as co-writing scripts for the third Legally Blonde movie and a Priyanka Chopra wedding comedy. Meanwhile, Maya Rudolph talks about burnout, Beyoncé, Bridesmaids, and becoming a bonafide Disney villain for Disenchanted.

–Zendaya, Anya Taylor-Joy and Law Roach cover the Most Powerful Stylists issue of the Hollywood Reporter.

-The royal rebranding continues: Prince William and Kate Middleton are launching a YouTube channel.

-Warners and DC are reportedly committed to hiring a Black director to tackle what will be the first cinematic incarnation of a Black Superman. Barry Jenkins, Steven Caple Jr., J.D. Dillard, Regina King and Shaka King are said to be under consideration.

–Adrien Brody is the latest to join Succession season 3. Clearly, they have a height requirement.

-Italy would like the stolen Roman sculpture in Kim Kardashian‘s house back.

-A Joker 2 with Joaquin Phoenix is reportedly still in the works. Oh god, I can’t take another news cycle about it.

-Also, a DeuxMoi blind suggests Joaquin Phoenix was the celeb Alia Shawkat talked about in this video and I can’t stop thinking about it.

-I don’t watch the Food Network but Pioneer Woman Ree Drummond holding a maskless wedding for her daughter at their ranch — where a couple months ago her husband almost killed their nephew while racing fire trucks — seems bad.

–Julianna Margulies posted about how her “in-person’ Oprah interview was done via green screen, apparently unaware that we’re all obsessed with her history of green screens.

–Jennifer Garner has reportedly rekindled her relationship with John Miller.

-I was so excited to see the headline that Henry Golding has joined Dakota Johnson in Netflix’s update of Persuasion, assuming he was playing Captain Wentworth (my fave Austen leading man). But it turns out he’s playing the awful Mr. Elliot. Who in the world are they going to cast as Wentworth who will come off as more charming than Henry Golding?!
