Here’s the First Photo of Mulder and Scully in The X Files Reboot

-After all of yesterday’s kissy paparazzi photos from the set, here is the first official photo of Mulder and Scully on The X Files reboot. As always, Buzzfeed is asking all the tough questions.

-Also, USA Today ran a story about how Gillian Anderson is basically taking over our TV screens this year. I have no objection to that.

-I don’t watch The View, but Raven Symone seems like a really smart addition to that table.

-Ugh, Jerry Seinfeld needs to stop with the petulant anti-PC policing. It’s one thing to advocate for freedom of speech, but that’s not what he’s doing. Instead, he’s claiming his joke bombed because he’s a victim of unfairly changing times. Maybe his joke bombed because it wasn’t very good? (In case you couldn’t tell, I’m really over this knee jerk reaction from comics that all criticism is censorship, especially since a lot of comedy — especially his — is essentially criticism.)

-THR’s drama actress Emmy roundtable is on point, with Viola Davis, Lizzy Caplan, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Jessica Lange and Ruth Wilson.

–Miley Cyrus says she considers her gender and sexuality fluid. “I don’t relate to being boy or girl, and I don’t have to have my partner relate to boy or girl.”

–Zoë Saldana had to take to Facebook to defend her husband’s choice to take her last name because people are small-minded asshats.

-Just in case you forgot, John Cusack can get it.

-I might be biased because I love her, but Leighton Meester‘s cover of The Cardigans is good, no?

-In a new podcast, the Fifty Shades screenwriter talked about the tension on the set, why Charlie Huffman really dropped out, and why she can’t bring herself to watch the movie. “My heart really was broken by that process.”

-Also, a manuscript of the new Fifty Shades book was stolen. They should probably just not release it then, right?

-I’m glad that Mindy Kaling Twitter-slapped this fashion blog. It’s one thing to not like her outfit, but it’s another to start a post with “Mindy Kaling is one of those ‘woman of the people’ types who basics find soooooo hilars.”

-I love how much fun Bryce Dallas Howard and Jessica Chastain continue to have fun with the fact that everyone mixes them up.

–Denis Leary and Molly Shannon mangled song lyrics with Jimmy Fallon on last night’s game of Nonsense Karaoke.

–This interview with GoT’s Peter Dinklage and Emilia Clarke on being TV’s new power couple is adorable.

-Meanwhile, this is a super smart take on Game of Thrones, Hannibal, and the current too-much-ness aspect of violence on TV.

-Just before Christmas, Joseph Gordon-Levitt married girlfriend Tasha McCauley, who’s a super smart robotics CEO, which kind of makes him a trophy husband.

–Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis may have also tied the knot.

-Usually I would find this kind of creepy, but this video of Taylor Swift online stalking some fans and then delivering them personalized Christmas gifts is pretty damn charming.

–Zoe Saldana gave birth to twin boys, and she gave them some pretty unique names.

-In other baby news, Alec Baldwin and his wife Hilaria are expecting another.

-Aw, geez. I couldn’t even get through the promo for the last four episodes of Parenthood without getting all wobbly. This is gonna hurt.

-Dawson’s Creek alums and BFFs Michelle Williams and Busy Phillips rang in NYE together while on vacation.

-Following the backlash, Kaley Cuoco says those anti-feminist comments were taken out of context. Uh huh.

-The previews for Galavant make it look terrible, but the reviews are actually surprisingly positive. Plus, this song!

–Idina Menzel missed the high note during her NYE performance, but she really wants everyone to let it go.

-Serial fans: Mashable created an awesome visual of Jay’s story-shifting over time plotted against Adnan’s version of the timeline.

-I really liked this article about the formula that every sitcom follows, but now that’s all I’m going to see. It’s like after I read Save the Cat! and spent the next year watching movies and trying to time when the “dark night of the soul” moment would arrive…

-Marvel released an ant-sized teaser for Ant-Man, which is both clever and incredibly frustrating.

The Serial Podcast Ends Next Week

–Stephen Colbert called Serial host Sarah Koenig his “favourite guest of all time.” It was a great segment (“Did you always want to do true crime reporting that people listen to on a treadmill?”) Koenig also confirmed that the Dec. 18 episode will be its last. *sob*

-More evidence that Ariana Grande is a mini Mariah Carey. Here’s a photo of her being carried around like a little baby. (She says she doesn’t like being carried around, if that helps.)

–Liam Hemsworth and Kate Winslet might be hooking up. I don’t even want to read any more about this story because it’s undoubtedly not true and I want to keep this beautiful dream alive!

-Congrats to Zoe Saldana, who’s reportedly given birth to twins.

–Steve Carell sang ‘Sexual Healing’ with Jimmy Fallon‘s barbershop quartet last night. It was creepy.

–Taylor Swift wants you to know she is happily single so stop worrying about her, ok?

-Yesterday it was Scarlett Johansson, and today it’s Mila Kunis who’s praising breastfeeding for helping her lose baby weight.

-And the hits just keep coming. Supermodel Beverly Johnson claims Bill Cosby once drugged her and yanked her down the stairs. Meanwhile, Vulture has compiled a timeline of all the allegations. 

-Well, this is weird. Zooey Deschanel is being sued by a horse owner because she allegedly injured a rented stallion named so badly that he will never be the same again.

-One of the best surprises from this morning’s Golden Globe nominations was all the love for Selma. I saw it last night and adored it.

-The Sony hack is messing with The Interview’s promo tour.

–Colin Firth plays a dirty James Bond in the new red band trailer for Kingsman: The Secret Service.
