Lili Reinhart Goes Glam for Allure

lili reinhart allure

-I love everything about the styling of Riverdale star Lili Reinhart‘s Allure cover spread.

Macaulay Culkin‘s Esquire cover story is great. He talks about wanting to start a family with girlfriend Brenda Strong (“We’re figuring it out, making the timing work'”), he once again comments on his relationship with Michael Jackson (“He never did anything to me. I never saw him do anything. And especially at this flash point in time, I’d have no reason to hold anything back. The guy has passed on. If anything…right now is a good time to speak up. And if I had something to speak up about, I would totally do it”), and he calls out James Franco for asking him about it when he saw him on a plane (“I give him a little nod as we’re putting our bags overhead. Hey, how you doing? Good, how ya doing? And it was right after the Leaving Neverland documentary came out, and he goes, ‘So, that documentary!’ And that was all he said. I was like, ‘Uh-huh.’ Silence. So then he goes, ‘So what do you think?’ And I turned to him and I go, ‘Do you wanna talk about your dead friend?’ And he sheepishly went, ‘No, I don’t.’ So I said, ‘Cool, man, it was nice to see you'”).

Brad Pitt‘s didn’t just win an Oscar. This award season has rehabilitated his image — and now he even has a gushing People cover story to prove it.

Sophie Turner is pregnant and expecting her first child with Joe Jonas. I don’t know why I thought she was way older than 23.

Jessica Chastain and James McAvoy‘s friendship is goals. They recently shot a movie in Toronto and were spotted hanging out together all over Yorkville during their downtime.

Dwyane Wade and Gabrielle Union introduced the world to their 12-year-old transgender child Zaya with a sweet message.  Wade‘s oldest child, who just celebrated his 18th birthday, also shared photos from earlier in their childhood with a lovely message of support.

Lana Condor told a story on James Corden‘s show about how she thought she was stealthily following David Beckham around a Whole Foods until he called her out on it.

-Speaking of Lana, in honour of PS: I Still Love You dropping on Netflix today, Netflix has made To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before available for anyone — even if you don’t have a Netflix account.

Jameela Jamil‘s bad month continues. Now she’s refuting claims that she has Munchausen Syndrome after a Tweet went viral with screengrabs of all the interviews she’s given in which she discusses a wide array of ailments.

-Since she wore her Oscar cape, Natalie Portman‘s history with female directors has been called in question, but it seems like she’s championed women directors and attempted to work with them more than a lot of other actors have.

-Meanwhile, let’s take a look at famous actors’ track records. Tom Cruise, Will Smith, Ryan Gosling and Matt Damon have never worked with female directors. Keanu Reeves does better with 13 female directors (out of 69 films) and David Oyelowo is doing best: he worked with 5 female directors in 2018 alone.

Lauren Graham is playing the Gordon Bombay role in The Mighty Ducks reboot for Disney+ and I dig it.

Rick Moranis is returning from a 24-year acting hiatus to star in a Honey, I Shrunk the Kids reboot.

-We have our first trailer for Wes Anderson‘s The French Dispatch, starring Timothée Chalamet, Sairsoe Ronan, Bill Murray, Owen Wilson, Adrien Brody, Benicio Del Toro, Tilda Swinton, Léa Seydoux, Frances McDormand, and Jeffrey Wright.

Kate Winslet Stays Sassy

The soundbites just keep coming from Kate Winslet this week. “I’m really sorry to the nation’s press that I fell in love and got pregnant; I do apologize if you deem that irresponsible.”

-The only thing that sounds worse than going to a cardio class is going to a cardio class run by Madonna.

-This is a good sign: Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas rang in the new year together on a family ski trip.

-This is kind of cute: the cast of The Vampire Diaries spent the holidays together in Australia.

-That collective sigh you just heard is the world finding out that Selena Gomez has been spotted hanging out with Justin Bieber again.

Kate Moss is getting her own documentary for her 40th birthday.

-Mean Girls star Lacey Chabert couldn’t make “fetch” happen — but she did manage to make it down the aisle.

-Here’s the first clip from Wes Anderson‘s The Grand Budapest Hotel. Is it too soon to line up at the theatre?

-There’s a (hopefully untrue) report floating around about Clay Aiken considering a run for Congress.

-Remember in the Sex and the City movie when Carrie bought her assistant, played by Jennifer Hudson, a real Louis Vuitton purse? Hudson just paid it forward by buying her assistant a house — and his reaction is priceless.

-Is Nicolas Cage going to bring on the rapture? When it comes to him, I’ll believe anything.

-Speaking of Cage, last night’s Community tribute to him was priceless. Unfortunately, the season premiere was its lowest rated ever. On the plus side, the ratings were still better than NBC’s other Thursday night comedies.

Jay Mohr continues to backtrack on his Alyssa Milano fat-shaming.

-The first official trailer for the Veronica Mars movie has landed. It might be a little too insider-y to attract new fans, but the Marshmallows are lovin’ it.

David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson Reunite – A Lot

David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson in Entertainment Weekly’s reunion issue.

-My inner 19-year-old is in love with all of the press and appearances David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson have made in the past week. From their Reddit AMA (in bed!) to their New York Comic Con panel to their interview in EW’s reunion issue, I’m happily drowning in Mulder/Scully overload. The fact that Vulture referred to them as a “rumoured real-life couple” put me over the edge. I’m not even going to try to verify that, lest it be dream-crushingly false…

-Speaking of EW’s reunion issue, this video of the cast of Mystic Pizza is classic. I love the look on everyone else’s faces when Julia Roberts says she’s the most “innately happy” of all of them.

-In other EW reunion news, Amy Poehler and Adam Scott interviewed Robert Wagner and Stefanie Powers for the online edition.

Ryan Murphy has confirmed that Glee will end next season, and the reworked series finale will ‘honour’ Finn.

-Glee’s Chris Colfer just scored a massive book deal that will see him publish two more ‘Land of Stories’ novels and a picture book.

Kate Moss (who’s now the fashion editor at British Vogue. No, really) has a modeling contract that stipulates she gets a cigarette break every 15 minutes.

-God bless FunnyorDie’s new video called “The Internet’s Problem With TV Wives, Explained.”

Michael Bay was attacked by two brothers on the Hong Kong set of his new movie. The director said one of the guys attacked him with an air conditioner, and that “it was like a Zombie in Brad Pitt’s movie World War Z — he lifted seven guys up and tried to bite them.” Luckily, the police arrived before the air conditioner transformed.

Mischa Barton has opened up to People about her “full-on breakdown” in 2009.

Robert Pattinson says that the most attractive thing about a woman is the way she smells, which is kind of ironic because the first thing anyone asks me about RPattz is if he smells bad. (For the record, I didn’t smell anything, which is probably a good thing?)

-Meanwhile, this photo is supposed to prove how buff RPattz is getting. I don’t see it.

-I liked this interview with two longtime gossip columnists. I always thought Julia Roberts knew exactly how to play the game…

-Goddamit, Jake Gyllenhaal can even make a man bun work!

-Speaking of stupid styles, the biggest trend I saw in Europe was women wearing tights or pantyhose with Nikes (always Nikes, never another brand – and always super functional ones). My eye grapes still haven’t recovered.

-Also, all over Denmark there are really creepy billboards featuring Christopher Walken as part of this bizarre fashion campaign.

Blake Lively will play an ageless lady in The Age of Adaline.

-The breakup rumours surrounding the Jonas Brothers continue to heat up. They’ve deleted their Twitter account while a source tells People the rift is “uglier than you think.”

-Here’s the red band trailer for That Awkward Moment. Shirtless Michael B. Jordan!

Macklemore prank called a Craigslist scalper about Macklemore concert tickets.

Matthew McConaughey asked Tom Hanks for weight loss advice. Of course he did. If I had access to Tom Hanks, I’d ask his advice on EVERYTHING! “Tom, should I buy this dress?” “Tom, chunky or smooth peanut butter?”

-Remember that Vanity Fair story that Gwyneth Paltrow tried to squash? It’s so on!

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West have taken their sexting public. Bully for us.

-In “You’re Super Old” news, Eminem turns 41 today.

-Britney Spears wants James Franco to play Christian Grey in Fifty Shades. Blech!

-Elle is getting loads of backlash for their decision to wrap Melissa McCarthy in a big coat for their cover. I’m just pleasantly surprised they even put her on the cover.

-It looks like Miley Cyrus will be playing a naked silver alien in Future’s new ‘Real and True’ music video.

-Here’s a photo that fans of Buffy, Game of Thrones, Sherlock and Neil Gaiman will love.

-The Bad Lip Reading guys have topped themselves with this Game of Thrones clip.

Jessica Simpson and her fiancé are in Capri, where they’re reportedly getting ready to get hitched.

-Justin Bieber covers Metallica. Sadness ensues.

-Meanwhile, Selena Gomez cried in concert while performing a song about The Biebs.

-The trailer for Wes Anderson’s The Grand Budapest Hotel, starring Ralph Fiennes, is so very Wes Anderson-y. I mean that in the best possible way.
