Sandra Bullock Grills Jennifer Aniston For Interview

Jennifer Aniston Sandra Bullock

Jennifer Aniston was interviewed by Sandra Bullock, and they dug into the Friends star’s uneasy childhood (“Growing up in a household that was destabilized and felt unsafe, watching adults being unkind to each other, and witnessing certain things about human behavior made me think: ‘I don’t want to do that. I don’t want to be that. I don’t want to experience this feeling I’m having in my body right now. I don’t want anyone else that I ever come in contact with ever to feel that'” ), and their shared exes (“We both partook of Tate [Donovan]”). The best part of it is Bullock’s jokey admonishments (“Jennifer, I’m asking you. I’m the interviewer. Don’t ask me questions. You are to respond. Let’s just stick to the protocol” and “You’re just talking too fucking much, Jennifer. Pipe down”).

-In his new cover story for Harper’s Bazaar, Noah Centineo talks about getting sober (“I smoked a lot of things. I was really upset, man. It was a really dark time in my life”) gushes about girlfriend Alexis Ren (“It’s the longest relationship I’ve ever been in. She’s very good at monogamy. Actually, I love monogamy too”), and says he’s not into one-night stands (“Dude, you ever actually have one? Ninety percent of the time, they’re not good”).

-I’ve never related to Greta Gerwig more than in this video of her losing her shit over meeting Jerry from Cheer. Here’s the full clip Laura Dern, Billie Eilish, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Kathy Bates, Indina Menzel and Robin Roberts also fangirled over him.

-ABC is responding to reports that The Bacholor’s Peter Weber ends up with a producer and not one of the remaining contestants. It’s the plot of Unreal!

-Meanwhile, the Queen has summoned them back to the UK for royal duties.

Taika Waititi has recruited Jennifer Kaytin Robinson to help write the next Thor movie. She’s the creator of MTV’s Sweet/Vicious, a spiky show that I adored.

Sandra Oh and Dan Levy met Joni Mitchell at an Oscars party and then “walked away and held each other tightly for an hour.”

-Birds of Prey is being renamed to Harley Quinn: Birds of Prey. I can’t remember a time when a film has been renamed mid-release. (Also, it only cost $84M to make so it will likely make back its budget.

-Empire alum Jussie Smollett is reportedly facing new charges over his 2019 claims that he was attacked by two men.

The Hunt now has a release date after Trump tried to get it blocked.

Liam Hemsworth and new girlfriend are in the PDA-on-a-beach stage of their relationship.

-This reads like a warning from Barack and Michelle Obama for Drake to stay away from Sasha, and I love it.

-Next week, Seth Meyers will be airing a Day Drinking segment featuring the Jonas Brothers, the Meyers Brothers and Jack McBrayer. Yes, please!

-Eminem just dropped a secret album and a new video, in which he advocates for gun control by revisiting the Las Vegas shooting of 2017. It’s all very powerful stuff, but elsewhere on the album, he appears to mock the Manchester shootings. In ‘Unaccommodating’ he signs “I’m contemplating yelling ‘bombs away’ on the game/Like I’m outside of an Ariana Grande concert waiting.”

-This clip of Renée Zellweger doing a tap dance challenge is very cute. (She’s better than I would be.)

-Hulu presented at the TCAs today, where they defended the early Veronica Mars drop and called the backlash to the season finale “a testament” to the show’s popularity. “The intensity of that reaction was a testament to how much people like the show.” Oh yeah. Hulu loved the fans’ reaction so much, they decided not to renew it.

-Out of all the networks to present at the TCAs in the past two weeks, it feels like Hulu was the one to premiere the best trailers. There’s Little Fires Everywhere starring Reese Witherspoon, Joshua Jackson and Kerry WashingtonNormal People (based on 28-year-old Sally Rooney‘s incredibly buzzy book from last year), the Hilary Clinton docHigh Fidelity starring Zoe Kravitz, and The Great starring Nicolas Hoult and Elle Fanning as Catherine the Great.

EW’s Entertainers of the Year include LizzoAwkwafina, Renée Zellweger, Regina King, Taika Waititi and the cast of Succession.  I love how everyone is lusting over the Jeremy Strong pic. I don’t see it as Kendall but his real life photo shoots bring a whole other energy. Also, Sarah Snook talks in her adorable real accent in the video and she so wonderfully perky and un-Shiv-like.

-Time also named Lizzo the entertainer of the year. My Spotify Wrapped rankings would agree.

-Well, it now makes more sense why Justin Timberlake broke his silence on the affair rumours long after the story had died down. According to Us Weekly, “Jessica encouraged Justin to put out his statement on Instagram because she felt embarrassed by his actions and wanted him to take accountability.” People is quoting a source who says Jessica will stand by her man: “Obviously Justin drank too much this time, but Jessica believes he didn’t cheat on her. What’s most important to her in life is her family and being the best mom to Silas. She’ll never break up her family over something like this.”

-Meanwhile, Bette Midler wants Justin Timberlake to publicly apologize to Janet Jackson. Don’t we all?

-In the Hollywood Reporter, Reese Witherspoon addresses the backlash over her sizeable paycheque for Apple’s The Morning Show. “I guarantee these companies are real smart, and if they agree to pay us, they’re doing it for a reason. They probably had a lot of lawyers and a lot of business people decide on that number because they knew that they were going to make more than that back. Does it bother people when Kobe Bryant or LeBron James make their contract?”

-The SAG nominations were announced today. It’s insane that Knives Out isn’t nominated for ensemble cast, but good on the cast of Parasite for making the cut (I finally saw that movie and holy s%$# it’s amazing).

Harvey Weinstein and his former studio have a tentative $25 million deal with his accusers. Weinstein, accused of offenses ranging from sexual harassment to rape, won’t have to apologize, admit wrongdoing or pay his own money.
