Demi Lovato Lets Go of Her Past

Demi Lovato is on the cover of Harper’s Bazaar. In the candid interview, she talks about her ex Wilmer Valderrama getting engaged (“I’m really happy for him and I wish him nothing but the best, but we’re not in each other’s lives, haven’t spoken in a long time”), and how she’s no longer in contact with the Jonas Brothers or Selena Gomez (“I talk to Miley [Cyrus]. She’s awesome, and I love her to death and always will, always have. But I think she’s kind of the only one from that era that I still stay in touch with”).

Kate Beckinsale is apparently dating 22-year-old Canadian musician Goody Grace. God, I heart her.

Brad Pitt’s episode with the Property Brothers on Celebrity IOU aired last night on HGTV. In it, he helps them transform the garage of his longtime makeup artist, Jean. “She’s family, we’re like brother and sister. We bicker. We fight. If I’m going to be on the West side, I’ll often pit stop here, get a nap on the couch. Many people do. Jean’s just one of those nucleuses that we all orbit around,” he said.

-Grey’s Anatomy was going to kill off a major character in the season finale, but last week’s episode served as its hasty season finale since the show shut down production, so some actor gets to keep their job for a little while longer.

-Here’s our first look at Denis Villeneuve’s adaptation of Dune, starring Timothee Chalamet, Oscar Isaac and Zendaya.

Supernatural Coming to an End

-I don’t watch Supernatural and even I’m shocked by the news that it’s ending. I thought that show would outlast us all. It’s making me really curious what The CW’s plan is, as it’s now letting go of a big chunk of its trademark shows: Arrow, Supernatural, iZombie, Jane the Virgin and Crazy Ex-Girlfriend.  In any case, watching the cast get teary while announcing the news got me. Carry on, wayward sons!

Priyanka Chopra shot down rumours that she’s mad at Meghan Markle for not attending her wedding.

-In honour of Reese Witherspoon‘s birthday, Jennifer Garner posted a video of herself playing sax. There was a costume and everything.

-If you invite Glenn Close to your house for Christmas, she might show up dressed like a sheep. And everyone will just roll with it because she’s Glenn freakin’ Close.

Diane Kruger opened up about the end of her relationship with Joshua Jackson in a new interview. “I was in such a dark place. I had two really close family deaths that year, I was separating from my partner of 10 years. There was just a lot of darkness and personal loss.”

David Letterman says he regrets the last part of his Late Show tenure. “Here’s the mistake I made: I stayed on television way too long. It turns out that nobody had the guts to fire me, and I should’ve left 10 years ago.”

-The entire cast of Parks and Rec reunited today for a Paley Fest panel and confirmed that we shouldn’t get our hopes up for a reboot.

-I am never going to see Jordan Peele‘s new movie, Us. Not ever, because I’m a big chicken. But this article on what the ending could mean is really well done. (Spoilers, obvs.)

-Kate Beckinsale just deleted all her Instagram posts, which is a shame because they were reliably delightful. I blame Pete Davidson.

-Speaking of delightful IG feeds, Michelle Pfeiffer knows what she’s doing.

-Netflix is shuffling episode orders, but denies it’s basing it on your sexual identity. That’s not terrifying at all.

-Meanwhile, I like this article on whether or not Netflix can take over the world without turning evil. Let’s hope!

-Netflix is debuting Unicorn Store on April 5, directed by and starring Brie Larson. It debuted last year at TIFF and people seemed to think it was twee but good.

 

Supernatural Celebrates 300 Episodes with an EW Cover

-I don’t watch Supernatural but their EW photo spread is super fun. Also, 300 episodes is insane!

-This report is coming from the Daily Mail so digest accordingly, but sources claim that Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth are expecting their first child.

Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin might be celebrating their marriage with a ceremony on Feb 28th.

-This is a bummer but not surprising: Julia Roberts is not expected to return for Homecoming’s second season. I’m ok with that; I adored her final scene.

-In a cute tweet, Amanda Seyfried reunited with her two onscreen dads, Hugh Jackman and Pierce Brosnan, at the airport.

Ewan McGregor‘s daughter is not over the fact that he left her mother for Mary Elizabeth Winstead.

Ellen Pompeo is having second thoughts about leaving Grey’s Anatomy.

Roswell’s ratings aren’t exactly out of this world. They improved on Black Lightning, but that’s a low bar.

-I am very here for  the rest of the world finally discovering Schitt’s Creek. Also, this is a great profile on Dan Levy (though I would have asked 97% more questions about how he and Jessi Cruickshank kicked off the aftershow craze with The Hills).

-The new Spider-Man movie has trans actors, which is amazing.

-SMILF creator Frankie Shaw addressed those misconduct allegations on her set: “I was learning on the go.” Seriously Hollywood, stop hiring writers to run things without giving them basic management training.

-I’ve tried to listen to the “Inside of You With Michael Rosenbaum” podcast but it turns out that guy bugs me, so I missed Macaulay Culkin‘s recent episode. On it, he talked about his friendship with Michael Jackson: “I know it’s a big deal to everybody else, but it was a normal friendship…I was a peerless person. Nobody else in my Catholic school even had this much idea of what I was going through, and he was the kind of person who’d been through the exact same frickin’ thing and wanted to make sure I wasn’t alone.”

-Meanwhile, Sundance is standing behind their new Michael Jackson doc. Expect there to be an R Kelly-type reckoning when this thing drops.

Margot Robbie wants people to stop asking her when/if she’s having kids now that she’s married: “Don’t presume. I’ll do what I’m going to do.” Word.

Michelle Pfeiffer just joined Instagram and her first post is purr-fect.

-The trailer for Better Things season 3 made me laugh out loud — which is typical for this show.

-It turns out that Jason Reitman has been secretly working on a new Ghostbusters movie — which the world found out about last night when the teaser dropped. Rumour has it, it will be centered around four teenagers.
