-God lord, the new Brad Pitt interview in GQ brought me endless amounts of joy today. Reading it was like playing “faux-deep thoughts” bingo. Therapy talk? Check! A mention of his new matcha tea ritual? Check! A David Foster Wallace quote? Check!  Talk about his new understanding of R&B? Referring to his face as “this façade”? Check! A Churchill quote? Check!  The whole article is so beautiful I’m tempted to get it laminated…

–Mark Hamill is the latest Star Wars star to prank some unsuspecting fans and their reactions were priceless.

-Yes, Stephen Colbert’s joke was really, really dumb — but the campaign to get him fired is even dumber.

-This new featurette on The Mummy actually makes it look…good?

-Congrats to Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Tasha McCauley, who are expecting their second child. I didn’t even know they had a first!

–Chris Evans says it’s “beyond misplaced” to glibly criticize Jimmy Kimmel‘s healthcare monologue.  Listen to Captain America!

-In any case, the monologue already has incredible reach.

–Sofia Vergara took to Instagram to slam Star magazine for “fake” report about a divorce from Joe Manganiello, saying “The editor of this mag is an idiot.”

-This is a great take on how Marvel is undercutting Wonder Woman with their lack of promotion.

–Amanda Peet looks back on her biggest roles and it’s kind of amazing how much she’s done.  I kind of love that she’s still not ok with Bent being cancelled.

-The Flash’s big reveal on this week’s episode revealed the show’s biggest flaw: its own formula.

-I guess we shouldn’t be surprised that The Handmaid’s Tale is getting a second season, but the first season covers the whole book so what are they going to do?

-A new report says that unlike what we’d expect, Kate and William don’t have a lot of staff to help them out at home.

-The Dark Tower trailer is here and the reviews are mixed. I’m ok with it, but it definitely feels like it gives way, way too much away.

–The Defenders trailer is getting a lot of love, mostly because it makes fun of Iron Fist a lot. This moment in particular is getting mocked a bunch. (I think it’s a special kind of actor who knows what to do in the background during a group fight scene when it’s not “their turn” — and then there’s this type.

Scarlett Johansson Doesn’t Believe in Monogamy

-In a new chat with Playboy, Scarlett Johansson says monogamy goes “against instinct.” In the interview, which seems to have taken place before she announced her split from hubby Romain Dauriac, she says “I might be skewered for that, but I think it’s work…The fact that it is such work for so many people — for everyone — the fact of that proves that it is not a natural thing.”

-Moonlight’s Mahershala Ali is looking all kinds of great on the cover of THR, where he shares his journey to becoming a Muslim.

-How exactly did Vogue think the world would respond to Karlie Kloss dressed as a geisha in 2017?! She’s since apologized.

-Not surprisingly, Christine Baranski had no problem looking disgusted at Trump’s inauguration in a scene for The Good Fight. Meanwhile, the show is getting good reviews.

-There’s a Love Actually reunion happening for a British charity – a 10-minute comedy skit with a confirmed cast that so far includes Hugh Grant, Keira Knightley, Andrew Lincoln, Bill Nighy, Liam Neeson and Rowan Atkinson.

-Even Pedro Pascal can’t convince me that the camo trend is a good idea, but I appreciate his attempts.

-Warner Bros. is seriously courting Mel Gibson to direct the Suicide Squad sequel? Seriously?!? Be better, Hollywood.

–Ashton Kutcher testified today at a Senate Foreign Relations Committee hearing on how to put an end to modern slavery and everyone came to the chilling realization that Kelso is better at talking to Congress than the President of the United States…

-As the world continues to burn, Colbert is staring to beat Fallon in the rating.

–Sofia Vergara filed a suit yesterday to block ex Nick Loeb from using their frozen pre-embryos.

–M.I.A. makes it clear she’s not Rihanna, Madonna, Mariah, or Ariana Grande in her new song.

-Nice: Kumail Nanjiani‘s Sundance hit The Big Sick will be released this summer.

–Michael K. Williams talks about feeling typecast in this weird and awesome video. Why isn’t he in everything?!

–Robert Pattinson has been making weirdo fashion choices all week and he’s never been more interesting.

–Alanis Morissette is having a rough go of it. First, her manager admitted to stealing $7M. Now, a robber stole $2M worth of jewelry from her Brentwood home.

-Fact: Mariska Hargitay and Chris Meloni reunions will never get old.

–Mae Whitman is returning to our TV screens and suddenly the world feels a little bit better.

-I liked this interview with 11 of the 683 new Academy members about what it’s like to have a say in who wins an Oscar.

Tina Fey Opens Up to David Letterman for THR

–Tina Fey was interviewed by David Letterman for the latest issue of THR and it’s great. She talks about her fear of artists becoming Leni Riefenstahl, offers her take on Donald Trump getting into a Twitter war with Alec Baldwin (“You think you’re good at being a jerk on Twitter? You will now face the grandmaster of being a jerk on Twitter”), and reveals she’s in a daily group chat with Maya Rudolph, Emily Spivey, Paula Pell, Amy Poehler, Ana Gasteyer, and Rachel Dratch.

-I still fall in the ‘what is a Bella Hadid?’ camp, but this is a pretty boss cover.

-British Vogue says brands “flatly refused” to provide clothes for Ashley Graham‘s cover shoot.

-Speaking of cover stories, Ruth Negga looks fantastic on January’s Vogue. I’ve loved her since Misfits; so glad she’s blowing up now.

-Forbes identified the 10 most overpaid actors of 2016, and Johnny Depp topped the list for the second year in a row. Also, it *tickles* me that Leonardo DiCaprio landed at #8.

-This is an interesting take on why the Casey Affleck sexual-harassment allegations just won’t stick.

–Russell Crowe won’t be charged over that bizarre confrontation with Azealia Banks.

–Katie Holmes shut down Dawsons Creek’s reunion chances. Um, because she has so much other stuff going on?!

–Rihanna denied dissing Beyonce after not getting a Grammys nomination for Album of the Year, saying “We don’t need to be putting black women against each other.”

–John Legend and Chrissy Teigen are really good at charades. And life.

-Jesus cripes. A new “right-to-live” lawsuit on behalf of Sofia Vergara‘s fertilized eggs (“Emma” and “Isabella” ) has been filed in Louisiana by ex-husband Nick Loeb. How can this possibly be a thing?!

–Reese Witherspoon is confused by Westworld.

–Ryan Murphy says he now regrets that he directed the People v. O.J.’s Marcia Clark episode instead of hiring a woman to do it. I have my issues with him, but it’s good of him to admit this.

-I really liked this piece on how memorizing the Hamilton soundtrack before you see it can actually improve your enjoyment (which leads into a discussion about spoilers in general).

-Ellen DeGeneres bet Natalie Portman $1,000 that’s she’s having a girl.

-I knew (KNEW!) there’d be a backlash against the pure joy of La La Land because people are predictable monsters. But I didn’t think I’d first see it on Jezebel.

-Random: Minka Kelly is reportedly dating HIMYM’s Josh Radnor. On the plus side, she’s not dating Sean Penn.

–Matthew McConaughey pet a real tiger for his new movie and lived to tell the tale.

-Pretend you’re actually at a Childish Gambino concert with his VR video for “Me and Your Mama”.

-The CW, which doesn’t cancel anything, just cancelled Reign.

-The new trailer for 50 Shades Darker is as ridiculous as you’d expect.
