Bill Cosby Is a Free Man

-Oof, what a rough day. Despite 60 women accusing him of assault, Bill Cosby was released from prison today because the courts overturned his conviction based on a technicality.

-Smallville’s Allison Mack was sentenced to 3 years in prison for her involvement with the NXIVM sex-cult. Prosecutors had asked the judge for leniency because she helped them seal their case against Keith Raniere on multiple sex trafficking, racketeering, fraud and conspiracy charges. He was sentenced to 120 years in prison last October.

–James Franco has agreed to pay $2.2 million to resolve the sexual misconduct lawsuit that alleges he pushed his acting students into performing explicit sex scenes on camera.

–Ed Sheeran sounds like a terrible houseguest. He says he stays with pal Courteney Cox every time he’s in LA, and has this running bit where he orders Cox S&M leather gimp masks using her Alexa.

–Britney Spears is asking the paparazzi and fans to give her space while she vacations in Maui.

–Madonna compared her VMAs kiss with Britney Spears to Lil Nas X‘s video, and it did not go over well.

–Kaley Cuoco, Lena Waithe, Jean Smart, Cristin Milioti, Aidy Brant and Holly Hunter sat down for THR’s Comedy Actress Roundtable.

Scarlett Johansson and Florence Pugh Talk “Sisterly Bonding”

-Black Widow may be delayed indefinitely, but Scarlett Johansson and Florence Pugh still made the new issue of Marie Claire. Pugh recalls team building trust exercises they did when they first met, including guiding each other while blindfolded. “I think maybe the tiredness did add to my not being so self-aware and just, I suppose, allowing myself to start taking the piss out of Scarlett from day one, which was great. And then from that point onward, we kind of did it to each other.”

–Kanye West gifted Kim Kardashian with a hologram of her dead father, and everyone is freaked out.

–Common unfollowed Tiffany Haddish on Instagram, but has since re-followed her. Whew! This is the one quarantine relationship I need to stick.

–Octavia Spencer told her Keanu Reeves story on the Graham Norton Show, just in case you need to love him more.

-It’s been such a crazy day that I didn’t get to listen to Ariana Grande‘s new album yet. The reviews are generally good though, even if there’s no bangers.

–Taylor Swift allowed one of her songs to be used in a political ad for the first time ever.

–Jodie Turner-Smith will star as Anne Boleyn in a three-part psychological drama for U.K. broadcaster Channel 5. God, I hope we get it here.

–Awkwafina and Sandra Oh are set to play sisters who try to fix their relationship by going on a gameshow together on an upcoming Netflix comedy​.

-Speaking of intriguing premises, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend creator and star Rachel Bloom is set to write a movie about two BFFs who follow N-Sync around on their last world tour.

-I’m fascinated whenever I stumble across old David Bowie interviews. How did he know?!

-I had insomnia last night so I was scrolling through Twitter and all the people who stayed up until 4am to watch the season premiere of The Mandalorian couldn’t stop talking about Timothy Olyphant’s hair.

–David and Victoria Beckham have reportedly signed a Netflix deal for a peek into their lives.

-So this guy pretended that Robert Pattinson directed his music video just to get people to watch it? Random.

-The trailer for Michael Bay‘s covid-inspired Songbird takes place in 2024 where the current virus has mutated into COVID-23 and 50% of people infected die while the rest are forced into stringent lockdown camps. I can’t imagine a movie I’d want to watch less right now.

Sandra Oh Stuns in Elle Canada

-I have fallen behind on Killing Eve because I just can’t seem to bring myself to watch much drama these days, but I’m going to revisit it eventually because Sandra Oh is perfection — even in KE seasons that aren’t. She looks stunning in her Elle Canada spread (though I wish they’d used one of the inner photos for the cover instead of the one they picked, mostly because Gugu Mbatha-Raw just wore the same top on the cover of Harper’s Bazaar.)

–Mary-Kate Olsen and Olivier Sarkozy (the pair responsible for one of the most iconic photos on the internet) have split after 5 years of marriage — and the pandemic is make it extra messy. Olsen filed an emergency order, claiming in court documents she attempted to file for divorce on April 17, but was unable to do so because of the ongoing pandemic. She alleges he terminated the lease on their NYC apartment without her knowledge and the only way to prevent him from getting rid of her belongings is to file for divorce.

-Entertainment Weekly unveiled its illustrated cover honoring Pride Month and people have strong opinions. Mostly of the WTF? variety.

–Jennifer Lopez‘s 12-year-old daughter is about to have her first book published. Just in case you already weren’t feeling like an unproductive blob during quarantine.

-This is wild: Tyler Perry is prepping to be the first person to resume TV production amid covid — and he’s doing it because he has his own giant studio which has housing for the cast and crew. He plans to shoot a full, 22-episode season in under 3 weeks. And then do it again.

–Demi Moore invited ex Bruce Willis and wife Emma Heming Willis and their two daughters to join her new family portrait session. I wonder if this was to squash the talk that surfaced after Willis recently self-isolated with her instead of his wife and young kids?

–Judi Dench is back to being hilarious on her grandson’s TikTok.

–Reese Witherspoon just signed on to star in not one, but two Netflix romcoms and I’m here for it.
