Evan Rachel Wood has accused her ex-fiancé Marilyn Manson of grooming and abusing her for years. The actress has been vocal about being a domestic violence survivor and it was generally suspected that her abuser was Manson, but she has never named him until now, saying ““I am done living in fear of retaliation, slander, or blackmail. I am here to expose this dangerous man & call out the many industries that have enabled him, before he ruins any more lives.” In a show of solidarity, at least four other women posted their own allegations against Manson.

-An interview with Spin back in 2009 is coming back to haunt him, in which he admitted to exhibiting abusive behavior against Wood.

-In the wake of the new allegations (which he has denied in the past), AMC says that a segment of the horror anthology Creepshow featuring Manson will no longer air as planned. He was also just dropped by his music label.

Dustin Diamond, who played Screech on Saved By The Bell, has passed away at 44, just weeks after being diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer. His former Bell costars are paying tribute.

Meghan Markle’s full name was removed from son Archie’s birth certificate. Instead, she is referred to as Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Sussex, which UK tabloids assumed was somehow her way of sticking it to the royals. She has since made it clear that it wasn’t her decision, but instead was dictated by the palace. Man, they will do anything to erase her, huh?

Prince Harry has won “substantial damages” from Associated Newspapers, the publisher of The Mail On Sunday and MailOnline, over claims that he “turned his back” on the military.

-Armie Hammer’s estranged wife, Elizabeth Chambers, has made her first public comments since he came under fire for his alleged DMs. She posting on Instagram: “I didn’t realize how much I didn’t know. I support any victim of assault or abuse and urge anyone who has experienced this pain to seek the help she or he needs to heal.”

Noah Centineo has been cast in an untitled Netflix film about the Wall Street chaos from GameStop’s stock skyrocketing due to Reddit. Which is wild because the drama is still happening! Also this article says “Scott Galloway to consult.” Ah yes, the man who took to Twitter to blame all this on women not keeping guys in check.

-Even more wild: there’s not 1…not 2…but THREE projects in development revolving around the GameStop stock saga on Wall Street.

-Ruh roh. A movie that’s doing well on the festival circuit is accused of being a shot-for-shot ripoff of a graphic novel.

-Gah. There’s a Frasier revival being eyed for Paramount’s streaming service. Yes, why give new stars and voices a shot when we can just keep propping up already rich and establish talent?

Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett have made a new album together, recorded through Tony’s battle with Alzheimer’s. This bit from the AP interview with them is giving everyone emotions.

Sir Patrick Stewart moderated a virtual Q&A session with Schitt’s Creek’s Dan Levy, Eugene Levy, Catherine O’Hara, and Annie Murphy and got to geek out.

-The reviews of Netflix’s Firefly Lane — starring Sarah Chalke and Katherine Heigl as two friends through the ages — are not good. At all.

Ryan Coogler will make a Wakanda series for Disney+, which sounds amazing.

-The latest episode of Disney+’s WandaVision began to answer the most important question: What’s outside of Westview? It also featured it features Kat Dennings and Randall Park reprising their Marvel roles, and an terrifying look at the end of The Blip.

-Also, this was a perfect callback.

-As much as I enjoyed that episode, I wasn’t one of those people clamoring for a faster pace and more answers. This is a good article on the pushback, asking if we’ve all forgotten how to watch TV?

Benedict Cumberbatch plays a salesman recruited by MI6 during the Cold War in the Courier trailer.

Niecy Nash Comes Out with Wedding Announcement

Niecy Nash (whose legal name is Carol Denise) made two announcements with one tweet: that she’s married, and that her new spouse is a woman. Love this for her. (Also, that dress is killer.)

This story is wild. Marisol Nichols, who plays one of the parents on Riverdale, has had a side gig these past few years as an undercover agent in the fight against sex trafficking. She’s been working with the FBI and local law enforcement agencies, acting as “bait” by either playing the part of a parent pimping out a child, or impersonating a child being pimped out to a guy who thinks he is about to have sex with a 12-year-old. Sony Pictures Television just optioned the rights to her story.

Brad Pitt’s new girlfriend Nicole Poturalski is reportedly married and in an open relationship. No judgement, but I’m wondering if her husband is now second-guessing their arrangement.

Adele is being accused of cultural appropriation after posting a pic in which she wears Bantu knots. (It’s shocking to me how much she looks like Katy Perry in that photo.)

-Paparazzi who are stalking Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are causing chaos in their small beach town of Montecito.

-Warner Bros reports that Tenet grossed around $53 million in 41 territories outside the U.S. It’s a good start as initial lowball expectations were around $40 million. Weirdly, according to IndieWire the movie studio has taken unprecedented step of blocking Canadian numbers on industry-standard box-office service Comscore.

-Stars continue to pay tribute to Chadwick Boseman, who played the title role in Marvel’s Black Panther and died Friday of cancer. Meanwhile, ABC’s airing of Black Panther last night was easily the night’s top-rated show.

-Black Panther director Ryan Coogler released a 1,250 word written statement about Chadwick’s legacy.

Jennifer Lopez says she and A-Rod are “so disappointed” at pulling out of the bidding war to buy the New York Mets. (She originally tweeted about it in an all caps statement on Friday night, but deleted it because all anyone was talking about was Boseman’s death.)

Bella Thorne has apologized to sex workers and OnlyFans users and says she’ll speak to the site’s executives to about the new restrictions they instituted because of her. This is a great thread explaining how she’s endangered the livelihood of OnlyFans creators. Basically, she advertised a nude photo for $200 but ended up sending a bikini pic, leading to an unprecedented amount of requests on for refunds on the site, which in turn led OnlyFans to set a new $50 limit on the price that creators can charge for pay-per-view content, and limit tipping to $100.

-I needed this old video of Denzel Washington and Jamie Foxx bonding over Cardi B today.

-Last night’s VMA awards was a discombobulated mix of pre-recorded performances and speeches. According to Page Six, performers who felt comfortable flying to NYC for it were required to quarantine for three to four days before their scheduled shoot, and shot their bits throughout the last week. Miley Cyrus, Ariana Grande, Lady Gaga and Doja Cat all stayed in LA but shot their performances on a green screen to make it look like they were in New York.

-The extended trailer for Supernatural’s final episodes offers a glimpse at new Young Dean and Sam in flashbacks, plus a dire warning from Billie.

-Dave Grohl accepted a drum challenge issued by a 10-year-old British girl on Twitter that went viral.

-Aw man. The second season of Hulu’s High Fidelity series was going to make Cherise the lead character. Now that cancellation hurts even more.

-The first trailer for Netflix’s The Haunting of Bly Manor is here, which reminds me that I still have a couple of episodes of The Haunting of Hill House left.

Chris Pratt Is Engaged to Katherine Schwarzenegger

-Is anyone at all surprised by Chris Pratt’s engagement news? They’ve been subtly planting the seeds in the press for a while (pretty much shortly after they met at Justin Bieber‘s Zoe Church in L.A. ) Also, that photo he chose is so deeply unflattering.

-The Critics’ Choice Awards were last night, and I liked what some people wore there better than what they wore to the Golden Globes (Constance Wu, Charlize Theron, Sandra Oh), while I am very confused why some people (Julie Roberts, Amy Adams) basically did a repeat of what they wore last weekend.

-Also last night: Rami Malek finally got his moment with Nicole Kidman.

-The Critics’ Choice Awards handing Roma the big prize is upping its buzz. I’m still not a huge fan (it’s clearly a technical masterpiece but it also left me cold), but Guillermo del Toro’s Twitter thread on why he loves it is very persuasive.

Meghan Markle reportedly told some children at today’s event that her due date is in April, and they’re not going to find out the gender beforehand.

Kylie Jenner has been beaten by a picture of an egg for the most-liked Instagram post ever. 2019 is already wild, y’all.

-Winter is coming — in the middle of April. HBO released a longer teaser and announced that Game of Thrones’ final season will premiere April 14.

-Speaking of HBO, last night’s True Detective premiere did way better in the ratings than I assumed it would.

-I loved that Kayleigh Donaldson’s Twitter thread outed an Instagram “influencer’s” scam conference and got the remaining dates shut down. (Donaldson hosts a really good industry podcast called The Hollywood Read if you’re looking for something interesting to stick in your ear holes.)

-Speaking of industry rumbling, the Academy is now fighting with its largest branch — SAG-AFTRA, who is calling out the Oscars for trying to prevent talent from presenting at other award shows using “intimidation.” Remember last year when the Academy added all those young, diverse voters and we had such hope? Between this and the hosting debacle, what happened?

Brad Pitt is hitting the Oscar trail for If Beale Street Could Talk (which I finally saw and LOVED). His Plan B production company is on quite a streak.

Miley Cyrusbirthday post to Liam Hemsworth is incredibly sweet. It’s weird how much I’m rooting for these two.

-I love that Mindy Kaling retweeted this amazing thread of Kelly Kapoor as Pride & Prejudice characters.

-Speaking of great Twitter threads, I’m late to the game but last week HBO gave out Sopranos-inspired nicknames to any celeb/verified who asked for one, and it was amazing.

Tom Hardy and his wife Charlotte Riley have had a baby boy –– but despite reports they didn’t name him after Forrest Gump. Whew!

Ryan Coogler sounds awesome. Women who worked with him on the set of Black Panther said he created an environment where they could “cut past any of the normal bureaucracy of male dominance.”

-There is a new movie coming out starring Mel Gibson and Sean Penn and I have never nope’d anything harder.

-In the Little Woods trailerTessa Thompson must return to the dangerous life she thought she’d left behind.
