Italia Ricci and Robbie Amell Welcome Baby Boy

-Congrats to Italia Ricci and Robbie Amell, who welcomed their first child — a boy they named Robert Amell V. She’s been hilarious to follow on IG during her pregnancy. Also they got Thai food from Pai delivered to their Toronto hospital room last night, so they clearly have good taste.

–James McAvoy says Jennifer Lawrence‘s mother told him the actress was born with teeth.

-I like everything about EW’s cover story on Hustlers.

–Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello made fun of their kissing skills in a hilarious new video. I don’t know what’s really going on with those two but I must admit they’re winning me over.

–Miley Cyrus and Kaitlynn Carter reportedly “couldn’t keep their hands off each other” at a New York Fashion Week party.

–Mandy Moore is releasing new music next week and I hope it’s amazing and acts as a giant middle finger to Ryan Adams.

-Don’t expect Rihanna to perform at the Super Bowl Halftime show anytime soon.

–Critics are divided on Taika Waititi’s Holocaust dramedy Jojo Rabbit, which premiered this week at TIFF.

-This article on a publicist whose job is to babysit actors during TIFF is a great read. “You would think that the Mark Wahlbergs and J.Los of the world would be the most demanding but, A-list talent like them know their job and know what they are there for. The C-listers are new and so excited to do whatever you need and they don’t question anything. They’re great. The problem, in general, is the B-listers. They are about to launch, but they also know they aren’t nobodies so they push [boundaries] with you. Some will demand, ‘Well, Julia Roberts got that why don’t I get that?’ And you’re like, ‘Because you’re not Julia Roberts?'” I’m very curious about who the indie-actress-turned-franchise star could be. Jennifer Lawrence? Brie Larson?

-SNL just added three new feature players — including their first Asian cast member. How is it possible that it’s taken this long?!

–Meghan Markle launched her charity capsule collection today and a lot of my Twitter TL were scrambling to buy the tan tote, which sold out almost immediately.

–J.J. Abrams‘ Bad Robot just landed a $250M all-encompassing partnership — including film, TV, video games, digital — with WarnerMedia.

–John Greene‘s novel Looking for Alaska gets the TV treatment in this trailer for Hulu’s new adaptation. All the music is from 2005, so it’s basically made for me.

Tessa Thompson Wants To Change Hollywood

–Tessa Thompson covers the new issue of Time, in which she talks about how the industry is slow to change (“Every big opportunity I have been provided has always been with people of color. There is a long list of white, male filmmakers I would love to work with but they just don’t see me. They just don’t”) and refusing to answer to nicknames on the Men In Black set (“If Chris [Hemsworth] is ‘sweetie,’ I can be ‘sweetie,’ too. But if he’s Chris, I’m Tessa”).

-This is boss: Michelle Rodriguez has confirmed that she will reprise her role for Fast & Furious 9 — but only after securing an agreement for a female writer to join the production.

–Meghan Markle‘s friends are coming to her defense in a new TV special called Meghan and Harry Plus One, hosted by Gayle King.

–Maya Rudolph is such a good friend, she was willing to stick her hand down an airplane toilet for Amy Poehler.

-God, I love that Tiffany Haddish keeps wearing that dress.

-The latest episode of Law & Order: SVU is getting heavy criticism for reportedly enflaming Islamophobia. The showrunner’s responses to people on Twitter about it are certainly not helping.

–Bill Murray talking about Selena Gomez is all kinds of sweet: “I really like her. I mean, you still can’t tell me who the hell ‘Selena Gomez’ is — but Gomez… I really like. She’s unusually bright. She’s kind and she’s natural. I’m always pleased to find some kind of pop icon who I really like.”

-Greys Anatomy’s Ellen Pompeo tore into The Bachelor boss over his tweets to Kelly Ripa: “we don’t attack successful women on our network.” I think I love her. When she’s done playing Meredith, she should write a book on how to be an ally because she’s been crushing it.

-An Amell is starring in the adaptation of The Hating Game!?! It’s the combination of my two favourite things!!! (I literally just fangirled over that author at a reading last month.) Lucy Hale is playing the female lead, which is a pretty good fit for the role physically.

–Lucy is having a big day. The trailer for her Riverdale spinoff also came out. Other new CW trailers include Nancy Drew and Batwoman.

-I don’t love the silly petition by Game of Thrones fans (we can bitch and moan about TV shows but the only thing we’re entitled to control is our remotes; if you hate it, just turn it off and write fanfic), but I do love the totally ludicrous and not gonna happen “Jamie is still alive” theory.

-Meanwhile, Gwendoline Christie told EW she was not happy when she found out that Jamie was leaving Brienne for Cersei. “That’s where I went very red. I was very upset and I had to go for a walk.”

-I also totally missed the point of Varys’ rings last episode, but this makes sense.

–David Letterman sent a surprise message of support to Busy Phillips and her showrunner (who started as his assistant).

-If someone asked me to guess who in Hollywood was bringing back the Saw franchise, Chris Rock wouldn’t have been at the top of my list.

-God bless Chloe Sevigny – aka the only person in the world who can wear this outfit and not incite ridicule.

–Sarah Jessica Parker is over those annual tabloid rumours about her marriage.

–Always Be My Maybe‘s previous trailer already made it looked great but holy shit is that Keanu???

What’s Next For Brangelina’s Custody Agreement?

–Brangelina‘s temporary custody agreement ends tomorrow, and sources tell People negotiations remain “strained.” Meanwhile, Angelina and the kids were reportedly interviewed by the FBI on Tuesday.

–Emma Stone kicked her Oscar campaign into high gear by bringing Jennifer Lawrence as her date to a La La Land screening.  Frankly, I think she and Ryan Gosling will have it in the bag if they just recreate this scene on every red carpet for the next couple of months.

-Proving that everyone really does know everyone else in Hollywood, Tobey Maguire was photographed partying with Justin Bieber’s ex Sofia Richie just before his split announcement.

-Meanwhile, Justin Bieber would like fans to express their excitement at his concerts with polite head nods. If you’re *really* feeling it, you can tap your toes. But only if you must.

–Rihanna‘s employee’s  created a pinata of her head for Boss Appreciation Day because they clearly don’t value their personal safety.

-I’m weirdly proud that Robbie Amell and Italia Ricci are big enough stars to get a full spread in Us Weekly devoted to their wedding. I hope they made lots of bank from it. (Too bad the photo of her chowing down on a Big Mac at the reception only made the print edition.)

-Is anyone else noticing that all the superhero shows are bottoming out in the ratings this season? Are we superhero’d out?

-I have questions about Rory in the new Gilmore Girls posters. Mainly, why didn’t they give her a sweater? And why doesn’t she hold objects like a normal human being?

–Ellen Degeneres has laughed off those rumours that she and Portia are getting a divorce in her new People cover story.

–Sarah Jessica Parker says rumours of a feud with Kim Cattrall “confound” and “upset” her.

–Scarlett Johansson is opening a gourmet popcorn shop in Paris. Um, ok.

–Colin Firth joining Emily Blunt in the Mary Poppins reboot sounds kinda perfect.

–Lindsay Lohan wants to help Syrian refugees…by giving them energy drinks. Aw sweetie, Red Bull won’t *actually* give them wings.

–Michael Moore dropped a surprise movie about Trump last night.

–Laura Benanti returned to the Late Show last night with her pitch-perfect Melania impression.

-Meanwhile, Amy Schumer wrote an open letter to Tampa after a bunch of Trump supporters walked out of her show.

-I’m so curious to see if Casey Affleck‘s sexual assault accusations are going to derail his Oscar chances like Nate Parker‘s did. The Magic 8 Ball seems to indicate “not at this time.”

-Meanwhile, Birth of a Nation could lose $10M for Fox.

-The first teaser for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is here and it’s pretty damn great. Baby Groot!
