Shailene Woodley covers THR, and says she and Aaron Rodgers were engaged a while before announcing it. “When we announced that we were engaged, we wanted to do that only because we didn’t want someone else to do it before we did,” Woodley says. “And we didn’t do it for months and months after we had become engaged, but the reaction to it was really a lot, and so we were like, ‘Let’s just politely decline [to talk about the relationship] for a little while and live in our little bubble.'” I’m not sure why she’d want to reintroduce speculation about their relationship timeline when it had finally died down, but here we are again.

-AP interviewed The Way Back’s director Gavin O’Connor and star Ben Affleck, and they talked about how the actor had a breakdown when his character tries to make amends with his estranged wife. ” Said O’Connor: “It was probably the second take, Ben just had a breakdown. I’m getting chills thinking about it. It was like the dam broke and everything came out. I just remember the crew, everyone was frozen, watching him bear his soul. It was obviously real. A lot of things that he probably had to say in his own life, or maybe he had said, I don’t know.” The longer this press tour chugs along, the more I hope Affleck cleared all this talk with Jennifer Garner.

-Speaking of surprising TV news, it looks like Netflix is getting ready to renew Lucifer.

Justin Bieber Still Thinks He Could Beat Up Tom Cruise

-Over the summer, Justin Bieber called out Tom Cruise on Twitter and challenged him to a fight. On Carpool Karaoke, James Corden asked him about it. “I don’t know. I was just being stupid, to be honest…but then people were like, ‘Yeah I want to see this happen.’ Then I was like, ‘You know what? That could actually be funny.'” Fair enough — but then Bieber reiterated that he thinks he would beat Cruise. “There’s absolutely no way [I’d lose]. He’s not the guy you see in movies…that’s a character…I’m dangerous, plus my agility is insane. I’m insane. I don’t think you understand the mind control that I have.”
