–Kristen Bell is a chronic over-sharer (seriously, we know a LOT about her marriage) but one thing she says she won’t share is her kids’ faces. In the new issue of Romper, she says “My feeling is that I chose a career in the public eye. I chose to be quoted, I chose to have my picture taken. I don’t know them yet. I don’t know if they will want that. So I really don’t have the right to choose for them.”

–Leonardo DiCaprio took his dad bod to the beach.

–Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds are burying the fake hatchet for charity.

–Jonathan Rhys Meyers is back in the news, and once again it’s for not-great reasons: he was arrested and charged with a DUI on Sunday.

-Beyoncé just announced a multi-year partnership with Peloton to produce exclusive fitness content. As if I didn’t want one of these things already…

–Sebastian Stan spent the first part of the pandemic bitching on social about people who were travelling, but now it seems like all he does is go on exotic vacations? In any case, his latest jaunt to Mexico featured cozy times with Alejandra Onieva.

-I find it sooooo weird that Brian Austin Green has Tori Spelling and Jennie Garth caping for his parenting skills.

-There are new photos of Dominic West and his wife going for a run. Well then, I’m convinced everything’s fine now!

-The TV gods giveth (Netflix renewed The Umbrella Academy) and the TV gods taketh away (HBO cancelled The Outsiders).

–Salma Hayek did a supercut of all the times she’s gotten a covid test and I couldn’t get past the first 4 seconds.

-Just when you thought Phil Collins’ divorce proceedings couldn’t get uglier comes accusations from his ex of impotence and neglecting to bathe or brush his teeth for months.

-The Grey’s Anatomy showrunner very politely implied that Justin Chambers‘ exit screwed up her endgame plans, but won’t discuss details of his incredibly abrupt departure. “It’s just not my story to tell.”

–Zach Braff, who’s 45, talked about his girlfriend Florence Pugh, who’s 24, and why he hasn’t discussed their age difference since she posted this video addressing the criticism of their relationship on Instagram. “She literally sat down, hit record on her phone and said that. I thought: how could I possibly follow anything as intelligent and articulate as that? So, I chose not to.”

-SNL had just 85 minutes to recreate Kamala Harris’ white pantsuit for Maya Rudolph to wear before the show went live.

–Mads Mikkelsen is in early talks to replace Johnny Depp in the Fantastic Beasts franchise. What an upgrade!

-I’m really bummed that Robbie Amell had to drop out of The Hating Game. It is my FAVOURITE romcom (seriously, if you haven’t read it yet go fix your life) and he would have made a great Josh.

-This is a good overview of what’s going on in the movie industry, and why consumers now expecting a seamless shift of blockbusters from the big screen to their homes are about to get a rude awakening.

-The reviews for Netflix’s Hillbilly Elegy are hilariously negative. (Hilarious because the Oscar-baiting poverty porn trailer looked so, so bad.)

-Meanwhile, Netflix’s holiday romcom series Dash & Lily is debuting this week to good reviews.

-Spy costars Melissa McCarthy and Bobby Cannavale reunite for the Superintelligence trailer. This time he’s playing her love interest, which I *adore*.

Phoebe Waller-Bridge Talks Fleabag

-It’s a banner day for us Phoebe Waller-Bridge fans. Tina Fey interviewed her for British GQ, where she talked about the critical reception to Fleabag (“The British press were like, [it’s] is the filthiest, most overly exposed, sexually exposing show ever.’ They made out like I was naked the whole way through. I was like, ‘There is not a moment of nudity in the series.’ I just say stuff about my asshole straight down the barrel. I think that makes people feel so naked, but the language was more naked than the actual performance.”)

–Waller-Bridge is also on the cover of The Hollywood Reporter’s comedy actress issue, alongside Tiffany Haddish, Jane Fonda, Maya Rudolph, Natasha Lyonne, Alex Borstein and Regina Hall. She talks about why she loves writing Fleabag: “I write women who don’t give a shit because I am teaching myself how to be one. I just feel such a catharsis when I turn to the camera and just say that f**king line and it’s just such an amazing feeling. I’d like to be more like that.”

-Following the Natale Portman kerfuffle, Moby has called off the rest of his book tour as well as “all upcoming public appearances for the foreseeable future,” saying “I’m going to go away for a while.”

-As if we needed another reason to stan her, Meghan Markle has reportedly bowed out of meeting Trump.

–Prince Harry took a commercial flight and his fellow passengers couldn’t help but sneak pics of him.

-This makes a lot of sense: CBS announced it will air season 1 of CBS All Access’ The Good Fight this summer, beginning June 16. While I think season 2 is better, this whole show is so, so good!

-I was scared to see Alex Trebek‘s name trending earlier today, but it’s good news! A few months after revealing he had stage 4 pancreatic cancer, he says he’s “near remission,” telling People: “It’s kind of mind-boggling … The doctors said they hadn’t seen this kind of positive result in their memory … some of the tumors have already shrunk by more than 50 percent.”

–Laura Dern just graced us with this perfect IG post and the world doesn’t deserve her.

–Ashton Kutcher testified today in the murder trial for the man accused of killing his friend, Ashley Ellerin. The actor testified that he went to Ellerin’s house the night she was murdered to pick her up for drinks, but there was no answer so he assumed she wasn’t home. He said when he looked in her window, he saw what he thought were red wine stains on her carpet.

–Rooney Mara and Joaquin Phoenix might be engaged.

-This video of Will Smith talking to kids at the Aladdin premiere is all kinds of precious.

-While doing press for Avu DuVernay‘s new Netflix series When They See Us, Joshua Jackson talked about confronting his blind spots as a white man. DuVernay praised his comments, tweeting: “When I first met with [him], I didn’t know what to expect. Certainly not THIS. Had never had a convo like that with a white actor. He surprised me in the most unexpected, beautiful way.”

-When They See Us star Aurora Perrineau talked to Glamour about the series, as well as that apology she got from Lena Dunham, who initially didn’t believe Perrineau’s allegations that Girls writer and exec producer Murray Miller had assaulted her when she was 17.

-Netflix changed its thumbnail for Nailed It! when host Nicole Byer criticized it for whitewashing the show.

-The current showrunner of The Chi, who started in season two, has gone public on the misconduct claims surrounding actor Jason Mitchell, telling the Hollywood Reporter: “I became a target of his rage and inappropriateness, and had to report him to HR, as well…. Ultimately, everyone was well aware of Jason’s behavior and his multiple HR cases, including Lena [Waithe].” Meanwhile, show creator Waithe maintains that she was told of the actor’s alleged actions only after the first season wrapped. (Even if that’s the case, the show didn’t drop Mitchell until its current third season.)

-I really needed this video of Lil Nas X surprising elementary kids today.

-I really liked these details about the vocal-technique work Michelle Williams did to prepare for her performance in Fosse/Verdon. I definitely need to catch up on this show.

–Ansel Elgort posted 17 shirtless pics in a row on Insta, and everyone is very confused.

-Speaking of Ansel, the trailer for The Goldfinch, starring him, Nicole Kidman and Sarah Paulson, dropped today. That was one of those books I read because everyone kept gushing over it, but I found it a bit of a slog. But if you like long and very detailed passages about the art of woodworking, it’ll be your jam.

Tessa Thompson Wants To Change Hollywood

–Tessa Thompson covers the new issue of Time, in which she talks about how the industry is slow to change (“Every big opportunity I have been provided has always been with people of color. There is a long list of white, male filmmakers I would love to work with but they just don’t see me. They just don’t”) and refusing to answer to nicknames on the Men In Black set (“If Chris [Hemsworth] is ‘sweetie,’ I can be ‘sweetie,’ too. But if he’s Chris, I’m Tessa”).

-This is boss: Michelle Rodriguez has confirmed that she will reprise her role for Fast & Furious 9 — but only after securing an agreement for a female writer to join the production.

–Meghan Markle‘s friends are coming to her defense in a new TV special called Meghan and Harry Plus One, hosted by Gayle King.

–Maya Rudolph is such a good friend, she was willing to stick her hand down an airplane toilet for Amy Poehler.

-God, I love that Tiffany Haddish keeps wearing that dress.

-The latest episode of Law & Order: SVU is getting heavy criticism for reportedly enflaming Islamophobia. The showrunner’s responses to people on Twitter about it are certainly not helping.

–Bill Murray talking about Selena Gomez is all kinds of sweet: “I really like her. I mean, you still can’t tell me who the hell ‘Selena Gomez’ is — but Gomez… I really like. She’s unusually bright. She’s kind and she’s natural. I’m always pleased to find some kind of pop icon who I really like.”

-Greys Anatomy’s Ellen Pompeo tore into The Bachelor boss over his tweets to Kelly Ripa: “we don’t attack successful women on our network.” I think I love her. When she’s done playing Meredith, she should write a book on how to be an ally because she’s been crushing it.

-An Amell is starring in the adaptation of The Hating Game!?! It’s the combination of my two favourite things!!! (I literally just fangirled over that author at a reading last month.) Lucy Hale is playing the female lead, which is a pretty good fit for the role physically.

–Lucy is having a big day. The trailer for her Riverdale spinoff also came out. Other new CW trailers include Nancy Drew and Batwoman.

-I don’t love the silly petition by Game of Thrones fans (we can bitch and moan about TV shows but the only thing we’re entitled to control is our remotes; if you hate it, just turn it off and write fanfic), but I do love the totally ludicrous and not gonna happen “Jamie is still alive” theory.

-Meanwhile, Gwendoline Christie told EW she was not happy when she found out that Jamie was leaving Brienne for Cersei. “That’s where I went very red. I was very upset and I had to go for a walk.”

-I also totally missed the point of Varys’ rings last episode, but this makes sense.

–David Letterman sent a surprise message of support to Busy Phillips and her showrunner (who started as his assistant).

-If someone asked me to guess who in Hollywood was bringing back the Saw franchise, Chris Rock wouldn’t have been at the top of my list.

-God bless Chloe Sevigny – aka the only person in the world who can wear this outfit and not incite ridicule.

–Sarah Jessica Parker is over those annual tabloid rumours about her marriage.

–Always Be My Maybe‘s previous trailer already made it looked great but holy shit is that Keanu???
