Batwoman’s Ruby Rose Leaves Show

-Batwoman’s Ruby Rose just quit the show! The CW superhero series will continue with a recast lead. I can’t remember another instance of a lead actor peacing out so early in a show’s run. There is definitely a story there…

-In her new Vanity Fair cover story, Janelle Monáe talks about taking over the lead of Amazon’s Homecoming, starring in the upcoming thriller Antebellum, her frustrations with how the government is handling the pandemic, and surviving isolation with her housemates “The Quaranteenagers.”

-Congrats to Rooney Mara and Joaquin Phoenix, who are reportedly expecting their first child.

-On his podcast, Brian Austin Green confirmed his separation from Megan Fox, saying he noticed she began acting distant after she came back from shooting a film last Thanksgiving. “She said, ‘You know what, I realized while I was out of the country working alone that I feel more like myself and I liked myself better during that experience. And I think that’s something that might be worth trying for me.’ I was upset about it, but I can’t be upset at her, and I wasn’t upset at her because she didn’t ask to feel that way.” He also addressed the rumors that the actress is now dating Machine Gun Kelly, saying: “She met this guy Colson on set on this film she’s working on. Goes by Machine Gun Kelly — I’ve never met him but you know, Megan and I have talked about him and they’re friends at this point.” Meanwhile, Us Weekly is reporting that they’re more than friends.

-It looks like the infamous Snyder Cut is upon us. I have never really enjoyed a Zach Snyder movie so I sure the hell have no desire to watch a 3.5 hour one, but fanboys are gonna fanboy.

Harry Styles enjoys a pre-pandemic day at the beach with models in the “Watermelon Sugar” video, which he says is “dedicated to touching.” I do appreciate that there is at least a couple of different body types (and boys!) in the mix.

Tekashi 6ix9ine is accusing Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande of buying the No. 1 spot on top of the charts. Bieber, Grande and Billboard are refuting those claims.

Andrew Scott (aka Hot Priest) read a poem on Instagram called “Everything Is Going to Be Alright” and I found it very soothing.

-The cast of Umbrella Academy recreated their Tiffany dance to celebrate the second season coming to Netflix.

Elon Musk tweeted some crap about taking the red pill and Grimes‘ mother was quick to clapback, as was Matrix co-writer/director Lilly Wachowski.

-Country music star Paul Brandt will lead Alberta’s new human trafficking task force. I…um…yeah.

-This is a very lovely profile on Ben Schwartz, who most of us know from Parks and Rec and who can soon be seen in Netflix’s Space Force.

Stana Katic still isn’t sure why the hell ABC fired her from Castle.

-My god, the news of Lynn Shelton’s death is gutting. Her partner, comedian and actor Marc Maron, put out a statement.

-The cast of Community did a table read for charity (Pedro Pascal subbed in for Walter Goggins!), and they all said they are down to do a movie.

Ansel Elgort Gets Naked for Charity

Ansel Elgort trended today because he posted a nude photo to Instagram with the caption “OnlyFans link in bio”, but instead of sending people to a paid porn site, the link goes to a GoFundMe page for buying meals for Brooklyn hospital staff. That’s both cringingly thirsty and kind of clever.

-Congrats to the internet’s favourite celebrity couple Joshua Jackson and Jodie Turner-Smith, who welcomed their new baby girl.

J.Lo and A-Rod are trying to buy the New York Mets. That’s one way to combat self-isolation boredom, I guess.

Tiffany Haddish was on Jada Pinkett-Smith‘s Red Table Talk and got blunt about what she’s looking for in a guy — and it isn’t what you think: “I prefer small penises because I feel like small ones respect you. They’re kind. They buy you nice gifts. They take you nice places. They’ll come and clean your house; fix your cars for you. Small penises are penises of service. Big penises just do whatever they want to do.”

-I don’t really know much of Rafe Spall besides the fact that he’s that guy from Life of Pi and Just Mercy, but goodness this is a great interview. On losing weight for roles, he said “I understand it, but you’ve got to be very careful with peddling the basic idea that being thin is happy and being fat is unhappy because all my problems are the same, regardless of the size of my waistline… When I’m extremely disciplined and not eating anything my wife doesn’t find me attractive – what she finds attractive is eating together and the sensuality of food. Look, eating nothing but fish and salad for 12 weeks is the opposite of sex.”

-I’m assuming this live tweet of Anna Kendrick‘s sex doll show on Quibi is far more entertaining than the show could ever be.

Andie Macdowell and her daughters Rainey and Margaret Qualley wanted to go to a closed park so badly, they crawled under a fence to get in. Tom Brady also tried to work out in a closed park. Celebrities, “closed” signs apply to you too!

Florence Pugh is fighting back after she posted a birthday message for Zach Braff and people immediately commented on their age differene: “I do not need you to tell me who I should or should not love and I would never in my life — ever ever — tell anyone who they can or cannot love. It is not your place, and really it has nothing to do with you.”

Lady Gaga covers InStyle and says she’s “very excited” to start a family: “I look forward to being a mom. Isn’t it incredible what we can do? We can hold a human inside and grow it. Then it comes out, and it’s our job to keep it alive. It’s so funny — everyone works out of my house every day. When they come in, I always say, ‘Welcome to the Womb!'”

Jimmy Fallon, Will Ferrell and Kristen Wiig star in a quarantine soap opera skit titled The Longest Days of Our Lives.

Jake Gyllenhaal says Heath Ledger refused to do the opening at the 2007 Academy Awards because producers wanted to stick in a homophobic joke about Brokeback Mountain. “I was sort of at the time, ‘Oh, okay… whatever.’ I’m always like, ‘It’s all in good fun.’ And Heath said, ‘It’s not a joke to me – I don’t want to make any jokes about it.’ That’s the thing I loved about Heath. He would never joke. Someone wanted to make a joke about the story or whatever, he was like, ‘No. This is about love. Like, that’s it, man. Like, no.’ ”

Jodie Turner-Smith is my favourite person on Twitter because of stuff like this.

Wills and Kate hired the Sussexs’ former Instagram manager.

The Strokes are dropping a new album tomorrow and early reviews are glowing.

-The New Yorker profiled Fran Lebowitz on how she’s been handling social distancing and every quote is a gem. My favourite: “I hate to cook. I find it incredibly tedious. Last night, I was peeling a cucumber and I was infuriated. Like, why am I peeling this cucumber? Why am I not in a restaurant, where they know how to peel a cucumber, and where I’m not doing it?” My other favourite: “Until this happened I was one of the few people still shaking hands, because people were hugging….I was so shocked when hugging started. I thought, Are you out of your mind? I would put my hand out and people would go in for a hug. This is when someone’s introducing you to someone. I think it would be great if hugging stopped. Hugging apparently is less virus-producing than shaking hands, but hugging is its own kind of contagion.” I feel seen.

-I missed the news that Leighton Meester and Adam Brody are expecting their second child. Yay for them!
