-I haven’t watched American Gods yet, but I LOL’d at this interview with Bryan Fuller about how he demanded a gay sex scene be reshot. “I was like, ‘Okay, unless he has a 12-inch, candy-cane c*ck and can f*ck around corners, his dick’s not getting in him. So you guys need to go back and figure out where holes are.”

-It’s upfronts week, which means a ton of TV news is breaking. Fox blasted ABC’s resurrection of American Idol as “extremely fraudulent,” renewed New Girl for a shortened final season, debuted the full trailers for their X-Men show The Gifted starring Amy Acke, and The Resident with Matt Czuchry and Emily Van Camp, confirmed The X Files will return next year and cancelled Scream Queens (though 24: Legacy and Prison Break may live on).

-Speaking of cancelled shows, NBC did the unthinkable and reversed their decision about Timeless’ cancellation. It had more to do with renegotiated ownership stakes than fan outcry, but it’s still sure to give fandoms false hope for years to come.

-Speaking of fandoms, this is a good read on why the cancellation of diverse, female-friendly shows is a tough pill to stomach.

-NBC also ordered a new show starring Mae Whitman and Retta, which is already my favourite. They also debuted the new Will & Grace promo which…ok.

-Bravo greenlit a new series called All That Glitters about Anna Wintour & Tina Brown‘s rise in publishing and I want it NOW.

-In honour of upfronts, a former TV Guide and Variety writer lays out why each network sucks. Up first, Fox and NBC: “[Fox’s ratings are]  that guy with a tiny dick telling you he grows 100% if you just give him a chance (a.k.a. Live+7).”

–Felicity from Arrow can sing? (I’m not sure why she’s wasting her talents on Maroon 5 covers, but still.)

–Jason Bateman says he signed on for a new season of Arrested Development on Netflix, so I guess that’s a thing.

–Jenna Dewan-Tatum opens up about her marriage to Channing Tatum in her new Redbook interview, talking about trying to find time to be together despite their schedules and bristling at questions about how she keeps the relationship fresh (“I hate that question. I’m like, ‘No. Why is it for your man? I do things to keep it fresh for myself.'”)

–Charlize Theron would like Vin Diesel to stop telling everyone that she loved their onscreen kiss. “I just don’t get it. He’s literally going around saying that I had the best time of my life” she said before adding “I like a little more movement in my men.”

-A new Lorde album means new Lorde interviews, which are always a hoot. In her NYT profile, she talks about her love for Katy Perry’s “Teenage Dream,” saying “There’s this sadness about it, where you feel young listening to it, but you feel impermanence at the same time…There’s something holy about it.”

-Speaking of Katy, Orlando Bloom insists he and Katy Perry are still friends but added “it’s between us” so maybe stop asking.

-You can watch the first few minutes of the season premiere of Orange Is The New Black, which picks up right where season 4 left off.

-The Path has been renewed for season 3. I’m happy for Aaron Paul, but I don’t know a single soul who’s still watching that show.

-The trailer for Thor: Raganarok, which debuted on Monday, was viewed 127.6 million times in its first 24 hours, making it Disney’s most-viewed trailer ever.

Channing Tatum and Beyonce Run the World

–Channing Tatum and Beyonce‘s lip sync of “Run The World (Girls)” was great, but we all agree that Jenna Dewan-Tatum was the clear winner with “Pony,” right?

-Here’s what you have to eat if you want to look like Tom Brady and Gisele — and if you want your existence to turn into a bleak, miserable march towards death.

–JLo’s new show (which every review I’ve read seems to sum up as competent, but non-essential) brought in the ratings last night, despite its terrible timing. It’ll be interesting to see how it does once all the other shows are back.

-I never, ever want Cate Blachett to see my bathroom. ‘Cause the one she’s criticizing is lovely.

-A Daredevil season 2 trailer has been released, along with the premiere date: March 18, 2016. I’m still out.

-I’ve already pledged my undying love, allegiance and first born to all shows on the CW (well, except for Reign. Even I have limits), but Legends of Tomorrow needs to cool it with the marketing. Do we really need new promos every single day? That being said, I’ve got nothing but love for the news that Firefly’s Jewel Staite has joined the cast.

–Colton Haynes‘ Funny or Die video on the male model wage gap is wonderful.

–Scott Speedman is coming back to TV? YASSS!!!

–Gillian Anderson says she was offered less than David Duchovny for the X-Files reunion. “There’s no point in dealing with my side [first] because, as usual, they come to me with half of what they want to offer David.”

–Kaley Cuoco and Johnny Galecki were all PDAy at that PCAs, but she insists they’re just friends. (‘Cause she’s dating Paul Blackthorne?)

–Justin Bieber was ‘asked to leave’ the Tulum ruins. The last time I was there, it was crawling with drunk tourists. I can’t imagine how disruptive you’d have to be to get booted.

-This is a great look back at Golden Globes’ fascination with young actresses ahead of Sunday’s show.

-NBC is making an Office-type sitcom — except it will focus on DC superheros. This means DC/WB will have shows on every single major network that isn’t owned by Disney.

-So they’re rebooting Tales From The Crypt but it will not feature the Crypt Keeper? And it’s being created by M Night Shyamalan? Cool story, bro.

-Netflix is famously reticent when it comes to sharing ratings, but its CEO just claimed that its most popular movie is Adam Sandler’s The Ridiculous Six, which he says has been seen more times in 30 days than any other movie in Netflix history. We’re talking a about a movie that actually includes a scene where Taylor Lautner gets blown by a donkey.

–Tom Hiddleston is dancing and dangerous in the new trailer for High Rise.
