Katherine Heigl Is Done Being Shunned

-This is an interesting interview with Katherine Heigl, in which she talks about how her “difficult” label crushed her career. On one hand, she made some valid points about Knocked Up at the time and the world owes her an apology about the backlash (same with Megan Fox re: her comments about Michael Bay). On the other hand, rumours about her and her mother’s behaviour on set were legendary.  In any case, her 27 Dresses costar James Marsden has her back, saying in the article: “She has very strong convictions and strong opinions on certain things, and she doesn’t back down from letting you know if she feels like she’s been wronged in any way. I’ve always seen that as just strength of character.”

Machine Gun Kelly is performing on SNL this weekend and Megan Fox joined him on his way to rehearsals — where she was spotted wearing what looks like an engagement ring.

-Whoever is doing Mariah Carey‘s social strategy continues to crush it.

T.I. and Tiny are denying the rumours that surfaced on social media this week, alleging the couple drugged and assaulted women. They released a statement: “Mr. and Mrs. Harris want to be on record and more importantly want the public to know they emphatically deny in the strongest way possible the egregiously appalling allegations being made against them by Sabrina Peterson. The Harrises have had difficulty with this woman for well over a decade. They are taking this matter very seriously.”

Amy Schumer still doesn’t really understand how she ended up in the drama involving Hilaria Baldwin.

-The two stars of Pen15 are both pregnant, which should make for an interesting new season.

Anne Hathaway has joined Jared Leto in a new Apple TV+ series about the spectacular rise and fall of WeWork. Let’s hope he doesn’t welcome her to the cast by sending her a dead rat.

-In today’s Actors on Actors interview, Amanda Seyfried tells Vanessa Kirby: “I wish I could redo ‘Les Miz’ completely, because the whole live singing aspect just — I still have nightmares about it”.

-This is a great tribute to Cicely Tyson, who passed away yesterday. Lenny Kravitz, who was her godson, also posted a lovely tribute.

-Vanity Fair has gotten wind of Jessica Mulroney’s interview the National Post from last week. Unlike most Canadians, they seem unaware of the columnist and her, um, reputation.

-This oral history of the Super Bowl episode of Friends is packed with juicy tidbits! Brooke Shields‘ then-boyfriend Andre Agassi yelled at her after her dinner scene with Matt Leblanc (“I see him come down, pull Brooke aside and eviscerate her because he’s crazy-jealous. She’s reduced to tears! I broke the show for awhile, and the girls took Brooke aside and loved her, took care of her and got her back on that stage. She did great because of the support of those three. He was a jackass”). Matthew Perry flirted over fax with Julia Roberts. (“She was giving him these questionnaires like, “Why should I go out with you?” And everyone in the writers room helped him explain to her why.”) Chris Isaak couldn’t really act (“Such a swell guy. But his scenes with Phoebe? It was like working with a salmon”). Jean-Claude Van Damme showed up hours late and was too aggressive in his kissing scenes (“Having completely blown up our shooting day, we had to scramble. Then he’s unprepared and arrogant!”)

Tim Robbins has filed for divorce from Gratiela Brancusi — whom no one knew he was married to.

-The Armie Hammer stories continue to be messed up.

-I actually didn’t believe this was Demi Moore in the Fendi show until she posted the clip herself. But she’s since been photographed not looking … like that. Was it just contouring?

-Cyberpunk developers are asking players to please stop having sex with the Keanu Reeves avatar. What’s the point of playing, then?

Nick Robinson plays the founder of the darknet website Silk Road in a new trailer.

Cardi B Covers Harper’s Bazaar

Cardi B Offset Harpers Bazaar

Cardi B is coming in hot with her Harper’s Bazaar photo spread, which is by far the best editorial of the year so far. (I love that she got in a fight with Nicki Minaj at Harper’s Fashion Week party, and not only did she still land their cover, the photos actually reference it.) In the interview, she talks about working on her marriage to Offset (“Nobody makes my decisions about my life but me. I didn’t want to go to marriage counseling. He suggested it, but it’s like, ‘I don’t want to go.’ There’s no counselor or nothing that could make me change my mind”), postpartum depression (“When I gave birth, the doctor told me about postpartum, and I was like, ‘Well, I’m doing good right now, I don’t think that’s going to happen.’ But out of nowhere, the world was heavy on my shoulders”), and re-prioritizing (“Now I don’t feel like I have the time to please people. I don’t care about anything anymore—just my career and my kid. Well, I care about my career because of my money”).

Ellen Page going after Chris Pratt is a mood! (At what point can we just drop Pratt from all those “who’s the best Chris” discussions? Messina is ready to swap in!)

-Congrats to Vampire Diaries star Paul Wesley, who got married.

-Man, EW’s romcom issue is just the gift that keeps on giving. Today they posted a piece with Katherine Heigl, James Marsden, Malin Akerman, and Ed Burns reminiscing about 27 Dresses (a film that holds up surprisingly well).

Ariana Grande had a busy day! She just dropped a new (possibly queerbaiting?) music video, and a new album that’s getting rave reviews.

-The Grammys are gonna be a mess. Not only is Ariana bailing, Drake, Childish Gambino and Kendrick Lamar all declined invitations to perform too.

Danai Gurira is leaving The Walking Dead. She’s the only good thing the show still has going for it and if AMC didn’t feel the need to throw bags of money her way to make her stay, it’s their loss.

-Meanwhile, Norman Reedus may not be working with Andrew Lincoln any more, but he hasn’t stopped pranking him.

-There’s a new Soderbergh movie on Netflix today starring André Holland and Zazie Beetz called High Flying Bird, and critics really dig it.

-Leaving Neverland, that Michael Jackson documentary that had Sundance buzzing, is coming to HBO in March.

-In other HBO news, Barry and Veep will premiere in March, while Big Little Lies’ second season is landing in June.

Miley Cyrus is now officially going by Miley Hemsworth.

Juliett Binoche‘s comments on Harvey Weinstein are super disappointing. Goddammit, I just sat through Let The Sunshine In for her!

-Ugh, Casey Affleck exhausts me.

-Former CW lead Chad Michael Murray playing a supporting character on Riverdale really is karma at work.

-Good on Jeff Bezos (words I never thought I’d say) for exposing the National Enquirer’s attempts to blackmail him using nude photos, but female celebrities did it first.

Samuel L. Jackson and Jessie Usher make a badass father and son pair in the Shaft reboot.

More on Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin’s “Conscious Uncoupling”

-Fallout from Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin‘s shocking split announcement continues. The pair are currently vacationing together in the Bahamas (they were seen dining together hours after the big reveal), and he reportedly gave her a painting of a bird in flight by Mila Fürstová to mark this new stage in their lives. As amicable as it all seems now, everyone’s wondering why they specifically pointed out that they’d spent time in this past year separated? Did they hold off on the announcement until they were certain it wouldn’t be part of Vanity Fair’s “takedown”? Or is some new bombshell coming that will be more easily explained if they’ve been apart for a while?

-Meanwhile, I really liked this article about what celebrity divorces tell us about “having it all.” And here’s a GIF guide to “conscious uncoupling.”

Gwyneth recently announced that she’s taking a break from acting to focus on her kids.

-Parks and Recreation’s Retta live-tweeted the last episode of The Good Wife last night, and she got so upset that Josh Charles had to call and console her. If only he could offer phone therapy to all of us…

-Speaking of Parks and Rec stars, Chris Pratt is teaming up with wife Anna Faris for a new movie.

-What happened to James Marsden? I’m not a fan of this new look.

-A rumoured Fox reality series will trick women into believing they’re competing for Prince Harry’s love, which is just so…wrong.

-Speaking of terrible reality TV, E! just ordered something called Kourtney & Khloe Take The Hamptons. Ugh.

Shia LaBeouf looks really gross coming from the gym, but I remember a Nerdist podcast where Casey Wilson was talking about always seeing him work out in jeans, so I guess this outfit is an improvement?

-Cripes. Fox just pulled Enlisted because no one’s watching it. This is why we can’t have nice things, people!

Captain Americais quitting, you guys.

Alyson Hannigan predicts you’re going to ugly-cry your way through the HIMYM finale next week.

-Here’s Louis CK‘s new SNL promos.

-So now True Detective is submitting itself as a drama instead of a mini-series? This awards show already makes no sense! (It also implies that HBO has no hopes for Game of Thrones’ award chances this season.)

Channing Tatum continues to be a wonderful human being.

-The Mindy Project returns next week with two back-to-back episodes, one of which is promisingly called “French Me, You Idiot.”

Kit Harrington thinks there should be equal opportunity nudity on Game of Thrones. Someone buy this man a cup of mead!

-Speaking of GoT, here’s a 9-minute recap to get you back up to speed before the season premiere. I really needed that.

-The cast of Lost were asked to describe the series in 30 seconds — and some did better than others. (Also, why does Maggie Grace look like she just arrived from a walk of shame?)

Rihanna flew back to London to join Drake for his final shows.

Miranda Kerr is back to Instagramming nekkid pics.

-I’m 99.9% sure this story about Kanye West buying Kim Kardashian a Burger King franchise for a wedding present is total crap, but I still love it.

-Could Community’s “six seasons and a movie” rally cry actually become a reality?

-The CinemaCon audience was treated to footage from Fifty Shade of Grey and Angelina Jolie’s Unbroken. Strap in for the next year of blanket coverage!

-Speaking of Angelina, the new international trailer delves into Maleficent’s’ tragic backstory.

Blake Lively was photographed in a wedding dress on the set of her new movie.

Jake Johnson sounds as happy about what happened on last night’s New Girl as the rest of the Internet. It’s always hard to watch a show try to back out of the corner it’s painted itself.

-In other Jake Johnson news, here’s the NSFW red-band trailer for Let’s Be Cops. Put your shirt back on, Nina Dobrev!
