-Awful news: Anne Heche has been declared brain dead at 53, although she remains on life support for organ donation, a rep for the actress said on Friday. I know she had some personal demons, but Men At Work was a delightful show and she seemed like a really sweet person. I got a pedicure next to her once and she was so nice, chatting with everyone around her and really gracious to the employees. She leaves behind two sons.

–Tiffany Haddish is on the cover of Cosmopolitan and says she likes to “check and verify” with people before telling jokes about them. “If I can’t say it to your face, I shouldn’t be able to say it. –Salman Rushdie was attacked and stabbed at least twice by a man who jumped on stage Friday before the author was about to give a lecture in western New York. He is undergoing surgery.
