Gillian Anderson, Nicola Coughlan and Alia Shawkat are just a few of the TV stars featured in Vanity Fair’s latest issue. All of the portraits are great, but Hugh Grant‘s is especially stunning. That man is aging like a fine wine.

-The BBC has apologized for its “deceitful” Princess Diana tell-all interview conducted by Martin Bashir in 1995 (considered a definitive bombshell for the royal family). Bashir is said to have shown fake bank statements to Diana’s brother Charles Spencer that suggested the palace staff were working against Diana and being paid to spy on her. This “deceived and induced [her brother] to arrange a meeting with Princess Diana.”

Prince Harry responded to the news, saying, “What deeply concerns me is that practices like these — and even worse — are still widespread today. Then, and now, it’s bigger than one outlet, one network, or one publication. Our mother lost her life because of this, and nothing has changed.”

-In lighter royal news, Prince William showed off a surprisingly buff arm when getting his first shot.

Angelina Jolie posed for a photo while covered with bees to raise awareness for conservation efforts.

-Did y’all know that Dermot Mulroney plays cello and has worked on movie scores, including Rogue One, Mission Impossible, Inside Out and Star Trek: Into the Darkness?

-I also really liked this interview with Shadow and Bone author Leigh Bardugo. “Teenage girls have so much sway over culture, yet people sneer at the things that women and girls love, and are contemptuous of the creators of that content, particularly if they are women. To me, that contempt speaks to a deep fear. When you start dictating culture, money gets involved and people take notice. When I see someone deride things that women and girls find pleasure in, all I see is someone fearful that women will overtake the culture they’ve had dominion over for so long.”

KJ Apa is going to be a dad. The Riverdale star revealed on Instagram that he is expecting his first child with model Clara Berry.

Kevin Feige now says it was a mistake to cast Tilda Swinton as The Ancient One in Doctor Strange, since she’s a white woman.

Nicki Minaj called last year’s hit-and-run death of her father “the most devastating loss of my life.”

-Netflix is capitalizing on the success Bridgerton with a limited series that will tell Queen Charlotte’s origin story. It will be interesting to see if they actually lean into her race, since the main criticism of the series has been its handwaving away of racism.

Gillian Anderson will guest star on The Great, which might make me catch up on the show. I watched the first two episodes and liked it, and then promptly forgot about it.

Gwyneth Paltrow, Miranda Kerr and Katy Perry all trolled Orlando Bloom over his poncho photo. Wait until they realize the world is never going back to non-drawstring pants.

-Also, Orlando is now buddies with Prince Harry.

-Black-ish is coming to an end after eight seasons.

-I don’t watch Batwoman, but apparently the show has fumbled Ruby Rose’s departure.

-iCarly is back! The 13-episode season will pick up nearly 10 years after Nickelodeon’s original show ended.

-It feels like there’s a lot of new pop culture dropping this weekend — the Angelina Jolie’s firefighter movie on HBO Max, Amy AdamsWoman in the Window on Netflix (both getting a mediocre reception) and Ewan McGregor‘s Halston on Netflix (hated by critics) — but the only new thing that’s getting glowing reviews is Jean Smart‘s new comedy Hacks on HBO.

-I already never, ever want to hear the word “cheugy” again. Is Drew Barrymore cheugy? Are you? Is it over yet?

-NBC are giving the Golden Globes time to “do the work” and get their house in order before the confirm they won’t air the show anymore.

Ellen DeGeneres‘ farewell tour continues to be a disaster.

-Homeland’s Damian Lewis wrote about the passing of his wife, Harry Potter’s Helen McCrory, and it’s lovely and funny and devastating. “She said to us from her bed, ‘I want Daddy to have girlfriends, lots of them, you must all love again, love isn’t possessive, but you know, Damian, try at least to get though the funeral without snogging someone.’ ”

-Netflix’s mother/daughter coming of age series Ginny & Georgia will return for a second season.

-According to THR, Broadway star Sutton Foster issued an ultimatum on set of the Scott Rudin-produced Broadway revival of The Music Man: if he didn’t step down amid the allegations of workplace abuse, she’d quit.

-The Zoe Kravitz and Taylour Paige post might just be about a new project they’re working on together, but we can still dream. Paige was dating Jesse Williams last we heard.

-Oh great, now Jim Caviezel is pushing Q*non theories.

-YouTuber Jeffree Star is in the hospital recovering from a car crash.

Dominic Purcell posted on Instagram that he’s leaving Legends of Tomorrow, and it does NOT sound amicable.
