Emma Roberts’ Pandemic Pregnancy

emma roberts pregnant cosmo

Emma Roberts is Cosmo’s first-ever pregnant cover star. She talks about getting older (“It’s funny, because I think people to this day think I’m 19, even though I’m turning 30. I don’t know if it’s about growing up as Julia Roberts’ niece or if it’s because I’ve been doing this since I was so young that people see me as younger”), dealing with endometriosis (“I started opening up to other women, and all of a sudden, there was a new world of conversation about endometriosis, infertility, miscarriages, fear of having kids. I was so grateful to find out I was not alone in this. I hadn’t done anything ‘wrong’ after all”) and expecting during a pandemic (“Long story short: I am hungry and tired. Food and sleep do not abide by the normal laws when you’re pregnant. But I’m healthy, which is the thing I’m most grateful for”).

-In Allure’s cover story with Pharrell Williams, he talks about working on Rihanna‘s upcoming ninth album and he makes it sound like it’s actually happening and imminent! He gushed, “Rih is in a different place right now. Like, wow. She’s from a different world.”

Dominic West’s publicist continues to flail. This is getting beyond embarrassing.

-While promoting her new Hulu show, Kate Mara talked about that time she was in a superhero movie. “I had a horrible experience on Fantastic Four. I’ve never talked about it before. I married one of my costars [Jamie Bell], so I don’t regret doing that movie at all. But do I wish I had responded differently to certain things? Yes, definitely…The fact of the matter is that my two horrendous experiences with directors were male directors…And on both of my bad experiences, the movies were 95 percent men and I was the only woman in the movie.”

Kristen Bell Talks Boundaries

Romper Kristen Bell
Emman Montalvan/Romper

Kristen Bell is a chronic over-sharer (seriously, we know a LOT about her marriage) but one thing she says she won’t share is her kids’ faces. In the new issue of Romper, she says “My feeling is that I chose a career in the public eye. I chose to be quoted, I chose to have my picture taken. I don’t know them yet. I don’t know if they will want that. So I really don’t have the right to choose for them.”

Sebastian Stan spent the first part of the pandemic bitching on social about people who were travelling, but now it seems like all he does is go on exotic vacations? In any case, his latest jaunt to Mexico featured cozy times with Alejandra Onieva.

-I find it sooooo weird that Brian Austin Green has Tori Spelling and Jennie Garth caping for his parenting skills.

-There are new photos of Dominic West and his wife going for a run. Well then, I’m convinced everything’s fine now!

-This is a good overview of what’s going on in the movie industry, and why consumers now expecting a seamless shift of blockbusters from the big screen to their homes are about to get a rude awakening.

Viola Davis On Surviving 2020

Viola-Davis-Instyle-Mag

Viola Davis rocks some killer pantsuits in the new issue of Instyle. In the interview, she talks about Black Lives Matter (“What’s happening is what has always been happening. We just decided to wake up. How have I been able to process it? I have days when I fail miserably. And that’s when I need my two or three glasses of wine. But I’m trying not to lose hope in humanity”), and her reputation as being “commanding” (“Other people see it much more than I do. I will say that I think my greatest source of strength is my authenticity. If I try to channel some other being, I get lost. That’s when my anxiety level goes up. Growing up in Central Falls [R.I.] as the only kinky-haired chocolate-brown girl, I always was trying to channel the girls who had the Farrah Fawcett look. It had disastrous results”).
