Angelina Jolie Says Her Family Is No Longer in “Lockdown”

Angelina Jolie is selling her new movie hard (probably even harder now that the reviews following its TIFF premiere have been decidedly mixed). In a new People cover story, she spoke about the “difficult” year she’s had and revealed that she’s “a little bit stronger,” and that her family is now out of “lockdown.”

-16-year-old Maddox was also interviewed. I guess that’s what happens when you make your kid an exec producer of your movie.

-THR did a deep-dive into This Is Us, which returns Sept 26. The article is great, but even greater is this photo.

Harrison Ford is interviewed in the latest issue of GQ, and this part where he explains how he punched Ryan Gosling must be read.

Demi Lovato may possibly be dating a girl. Here for it.

Amber Tamblyn continues to drag James Woods, this time by penning an open letter to him in Teen Vogue. God, I love her.

-During a rapid-fire segment of an interview, Kate Hudson said the ‘laziest’ thing she’s ever done is have a C-section, so of course the torches came out on social media.

Maggie Gyllenhaal doesn’t know anything about the scarf Taylor Swift says she left at her house and she wants y’all to stop asking about it.

-Millennial pink is still going strong, huh? Rihanna filled the Park Avenue Armory with pink sand dunes for her latest Fenty collection.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle continue to inch closer to an engagement. He’s reportedly introduced her to the Queen.

-Out of all the shows that were competing in EW’s fall TV cover battle, I didn’t think Riverdale would be the one to come out on top. What do I know?  Meanwhile, here’s the trailer for season 2.

Diane Kruger just took the crown for the worst-dressed at TIFF (and this is coming from someone who’s going to tonight’s TIFF activities in her fat jeans…)

Carey Mulligan showed up at TIFF looking very not-pregnant, so she must have had her second kid recently.

Idris Elba is so over all those questions about possibly playing Bond. (“Can we not? Because it feels like I’m campaigning, and I’m not. At first it was harmless — oh, I know, wouldn’t it be great? — and now it’s started off racial debates. I’m probably the most famous Bond actor in the world, and I’ve not even played the role. Enough is enough. I can’t talk about it any more.”)

Tyrese is publicly feuding with The Rock via Instagram comments. This will not end well for him.

Josh Brolin, Miles Teller and Taylor Kitsch play firefighters in the trailer for Only the Brave.

Kathy Griffin Makes Waves With Bloody Photoshoot

Kathy Griffin did a Tyler Shields photo shoot that involved a bloody Trump head, and people were not impressed. Dumb people, but still.

Alicia Keys talks Trump, Trudeau, and really bad karaoke in the new issue of Chatelaine. She also makes a cute discovery about Montreal (“Poutine, is that the place to go?”)

Evan Rachel Wood‘s advice to Millie Bobby Brown involves licking a toilet.

-I linked to a story yesterday about Jessica Chastain‘s comments about female representation at Cannes, but now there’s video and it’s even more powerful. She sounds nervous but powers through.

Diane Kruger might have to get a crappy tattoo because she won at Cannes.

-Brace yourself! The Clooney twins could be here any day now as George skips out an event, saying he’s not allowed to travel.

Robert Pattinson reveals he was almost fired from Twilight because of his on-set behaviour.

-Wonder Woman is at 97% fresh on Rotten Tomatoes! That’s the best score of any DC or Marvel film to date.

-Meanwhile, Don Cheadle has no time for your complaints about women-only screenings of Wonder Woman.

-I thought people were joking last night on Twitter when they were talking about Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher showing up on The Bachelorette but they really did.

Orlando Bloom is dating a Katy Perry look-alike, which isn’t weird at all.

Alanis Morissette‘s ‘Jagged Little Pill’ is being turned into a musical and I’m hesitantly excited.

-OHMYGOD, Scott Speedman went to Keri Russell’s star ceremony and I am getting Team Ben flashbacks!

-With Alison Brie, Dave Franco, Nick Offerman and Aubrey Plaza I feel like I should like The Little Hours trailer more than I actually do…

Diane Kruger and Norman Reedus Are Still a Thing

-Well, this is hardly surprising. Diane Kruger and Norman Reedus were spotted kissing in NYC.

-When Ryan Reynolds and Stephen Colbert stare at the stars, they can answer life’s biggest questions.

-I could watch Ryan Reynolds and Jake Gyllenhaal interviews all day long. This one is hilarious. So is this one! Can we get a sitcom, please?

Jake was in a much better mood with Ryan than he was with this Guardian interviewer.

George Clooney just met his biggest fan. Really? Huh. I don’t remember meeting him.

-This is a pretty frank interview with Lewis Tan, who was on hold to play the lead in Iron Fist before he was offered the role of a one-off villain. He was treated horribly, but it sounds like he dodged a bullet.

-Just when you thought the press around Iron Fist couldn’t possibly get worse, the original creator offers this bon mot: “Don’t these people have something better to do than to worry about the fact that Iron Fist isn’t Oriental, or whatever word? I know Oriental isn’t the right word now, either.”

-Meanwhile, I hate how people are mocking this 35-second Iron Fist fight scene because it has 56 cuts. That doesn’t seem like the editor’s fault. It seems like the poor guy got the footage and tried his best to salvage it.

Ashley Olsen has reportedly broken up with her 58-year-old “financier” boyfriend.

Allison Williams as a blonde is alarming.

-Sorry bros, Jessica Chastain will not let you mansplain to her on Twitter.

Selena Gomez opened about about getting negative comments on social media: “It’s like they want to cut to your soul.”

-I don’t watch MST3K, but the trailer for the reboot makes me think maybe I should.

Lindsay Lohan wants to steal your phone for her new prank show. Sure.

-The musical episode of The Flash was so charming and cute, it was easy to overlook the many plotholes. (Y’all need to simmer down with this talk that it was better than Buffy’s, though.) Despite all the buzz about it, it somehow didn’t manage to move the ratings needle.

-The first full-length Fargo season 3 trailer has arrived.

-Goddamnit if just hearing the music in this Love Actually reunion trailer didn’t make me a little emotional. I’m glad it’s airing on NBC; I thought for sure we’d have to wrestle with geo-blocking to watch this thign.
