Justin Bieber Talks “Tough” Year of Marriage

Justin-Bieber-GQ

Justin Bieber is on the new cover of GQ, and he talks about his marriage to Hailey Baldwin (“The first year of marriage was really tough because there was a lot going back to the trauma. There was just a lack of trust. There was all these things that you don’t want to admit to the person that you’re with, because it’s scary. You don’t want to scare them off by saying, ‘I’m scared'”), on having children (“Not this second, but we will eventually”) and his faith (“He is grace. Every time we mess up, He’s picking us back up every single time. That’s how I view it. And so it’s like, ‘I made a mistake. I won’t dwell in it. I don’t sit in shame. But it actually makes me want to do better'”).

-He also give GQ a look inside his tour bus, which is insane.

Lady Gaga‘s underrated 2013 album ARTPOP hit the top 3 on iTunes as fans continue to circulate a petition to release more songs from the LP. Gaga tweeted: “I fell apart after I released this album. -Meanwhile, Gaga was spotted wearing a poufy white wedding dress on the set of the Gucci movie.

I like to watch TV or just doze, not thinking about anything. I’m sorry to say I’m really enjoying quarantine. I don’t have to see anybody. I can just stay home 24 hours a day in bed, my favorite place.”

Madonna took a commenter to task for their thoughts on gun control.

-The creators of Netflix’s Shadow and Bone adaptation promise they’ve improved Mal, one of the book’s most problematic characters. The Shadow and Bone books were ok, but honestly I’m excited to watch this show because it’s also going to feature characters from the sequel series Six of Crows, which were MUCH better books.

-Here’s the trailer for the final season of Shrill starring Aidy Bryant.

-Here’s the first trailer for The Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard, starring Ryan Reynolds and Salma Hayek. Using “Hit Me Baby, One More Time” in a trailer for a hitman movie is gold.

Zendaya Answers Vogue’s 73 Questions

Zendaya covers the June 2019 issue of Vogue, which also means she gets the 73 questions treatment. I like that she restricted the whole thing to her backyard instead of the usual house tour, but is so charming that it doesn’t seem like she’s shutting you out in any way.

Zendaya is also on the cover of Paper, where she says she has no desire to give up her music career for acting.

-I literally couldn’t contemplate winning a lunch with George and Amal Clooney. I think I’d have to study international affairs for six months to feel remotely qualified to open my mouth around them, and the whole thing would stress me out. But the video of George talking about it is super cute.

-This is awful: Miley Cyrus was trying to leave her hotel with Liam Hemsworth after a festival appearance in Barcelona and as she was fighting her way through the crowds to their car a dude grabbed her and tried to kiss her.

Tiffany Haddish says she’s retiring her white Alexander McQueen gown after wearing it to five events. I’m gonna miss it.

-I liked Netflix’s Always Be My Maybe, but the very best parts involved Keanu Reeves. This intro scene is already so iconic that there’s already a Twitter account devoted to putting different songs behind it.

-It’s cute that Marc Anthony seems to get along so well with JLo and ARod.

-I gave up on it because of too much TV + little interest in watching any TV lately, but I dig this justification for why Whiskey Cavalier deserved a second season.

-I did force myself to start Good Omens this weekend because I adored the book — and it turns out the show is equally fantastic. The clincher for me was episode 3’s cold open, which only came together because Neil Gaiman realized he needed to give David Tennant and Michael Sheen more to do. It shows the two mains meeting at various major events in history, including Noah’s Ark, Jesus’ crucifixion, the first showing of Hamlet in the Globe, the French Revolution, WWII and more. Gaiman said: “When I got to Episode 3, I went, ‘Oh, Crowley and Aziraphale aren’t in this 50-page chunk,’ so I thought, ‘Well, I’ll do a mini-movie of Crowley and Aziraphale through time, and it will give Michael and David something to do.'”

-Also as I was watching it I saw someone tweet “Oh, this is a love story!” and it totally changed how I saw the show. Michael Sheen agrees.

-There is a very real possibility that for the first time ever, there will not be a single comedy from ABC, CBS, NBC or FOX among the best comedy series Emmy nominees.

-On the slim chance that you’re not totally done hearing about Game of Thrones, this is a very good video explaining how foreshadowing shouldn’t be misconstrued as character development when it came to Daenerys.

-Apple TV still hasn’t revealed when its streaming service is coming or how much it will cost, but they did drop their first trailer today. It’s for Ron Moore‘s alt-history space race series For All Mankind.

She also revealed that McNearney texted Kimmel that she loved him and that he’d “always been an incredible husband” — to which he replied “I just signed up for Tinder, but I promise not to activate it until we know what’s what.'”

-The NBA reportedly had a chat with Drake about his courtside antics before the finals.

-I don’t usually get moved by reality TV but between this clip of a blind contestant on MasterChef, and this autistic contestant on America’s Got Talent, I’m a blubbery mess.

-Good Omens star David Tennant being confused by emojis’ hidden sex meanings is gold.

-Jesus, John Cleese. It was bad and now you’re making it worse.

-I’m surprisingly loving Katy Perry’s new song. Huh.

Robert Pattinson has officially been confirmed as the new Batman. I have no doubt he can do broody and gothic, but I definitely agree with this thread that it’s a very weird career choice for a guy who’s purposefully eschewed fame/the spotlight thus far.

-Also, I can’t believe the movie is going to feature get another take on Batman’s origin story. I never, ever again need to sit through another scene of Martha Wayne’s pearls tumbling to the ground.

-Wait, Aya Cash is in Fosse/Verdon?! God, I need to watch this thing.

-There’s rumblings of an Ally McBeal reboot. I’d much rather they just stream the original somewhere. Robert Downey Jr. was at his most charming in that show.
