Lana Condor Talks About Her True Love — And It’s Not Noah Centineo

lana-condor-noah-centineo

-In her new Cosmo cover storyLana Condor admits she and Noah Centineo did nothing to stop those romance rumours, despite her having a longtime live-in boyfriend. But I wonder how much that was encouraged by Netflix during TATBILB’s press tour?

-Congrats to Jennifer Lawrence, who’s reportedly engaged to art gallery rep Cooke Maroney.

Bradley Cooper was refreshingly candid when he talked to Oprah about being “embarrassed” by his Oscar snub for Best Director. “I felt embarrassed that I didn’t do my part. I’ll work on that. I went, ‘Oh, gosh. I didn’t do my job.'”

-The Walking Dead has been renewed for Season 10, but there is a chance Danai Gurira may not return as negotiations have become more complicated since she became a superstar thanks to Black Panther. Meanwhile, Norman Reedus becomes No. 1 on the callsheet with a reported paycheck of $350,000 per episode on top of additional guarantees and advances in a deal that sources say could be worth anywhere from $50 million to $90 million. (That guy also hits the lucrative con circuit hard so he’s pretty much flush.)

In the new issue of British GQ, Armie Hammer (who might be Hollywood’s worst tweeter — discuss!) stands by his tweets that criticized celebrities’ selfie tributes to the late Stan Lee.

Hugh Jackman accidentally restarted his fake feud with ‘total f—ing a–hole’ Ryan Reynolds.

-Avengers: Endgame might clock in at 3 hours. Dear god.

Jennifer Lopez is performing a Motown tribute at the Grammys and people are not happy.

-I’ve been reading a bit of backlash about the third season of The Good Place and I just don’t get it. Yeah, the Earth-bound stuff wasn’t great and I’m not totally shipping Eleanor and Chidi (and I ship everyone!) but this was also the season that gave us the Jeremy Bearimy episode so I have no complaints.

-Just eat the damn pizza, Drew Barrymore.

-Here’s our first look at the Four Weddings and a Funeral reunion for Red Nose Day.

-Speaking of first looks, HBO just released a bunch of photos from Game of Thrones’ final season. I feel like I’m going to love Sansa this season.

-People’s cover story gives good press to Meghan Markle (which she can use after the trashing she’s getting in the British press — there was a headline yesterday about her being the cause of Harry’s baldness). People’s story has some new scoop, including how she leans on her faith and how everything went down with her father during the wedding.

Ed Westwick (who was accused by three women of sexual assault but prosecutors did not pursue charges) just landed a new gig. These men are Teflon.

-EW is doing a bunch of romcom retrospectives in time for Valentine’s Day. I’m not sure anyone needs a fond look back at He’s Just Not That Into You, but I really liked this piece about Zooey Deschanel and Joseph Gordon-Levitt getting together to re-watch (500) Days of Summer 10 years later.

-Celebs are getting in on the #FuckFuckJerry action and calling on people to unfollow their accounts.

-Here’s the first trailer for The Sun Is Also a Star. This book is on my bedside table and it’s one of two (alongside The Hating Game) that I pick up whenever I’m down because I can flip to a random page and it just brings the happy. So trust me when I say I do NOT want them to screw up this movie — and this trailer has me hopeful that they won’t. Yara Shahidi looks perfect; I’m less convinced about the Riverdale guy but I’ll give him a chance.

Idris Elba’s Sexiness Confirmed

Idris Elba Is PEOPLE s Sexiest Man Alive 2018

Idris Elba has been named People’s Sexiest Man Alive. I was bracing for Bradley Cooper so this is a pleasant surprise — and a nice recovery from last year’s Blake Shelton disaster.

-Celebs got into the voting spirit today — most notably Beyonce is repping for Beto and Taylor Swift made a rare Instagram appearance urging people to the polls.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie‘s custody court date has been set for Dec 4, so watch for them to spend the next month subtly shading each other in the press.

Zayn Malik says he left One Direction without any lifelong friendships: “I ain’t spoke to any of them for a long time, to be honest with you. That’s just the way it is. There’s things that happen and things that were said after I left… Snide things. Small things that I would never have expected.”

John Stamos needs to learn that not all stories should be told out loud.

Meghan Markle‘s family drama reportedly helped bring her even closer to Prince Charles, so at least something good came out of that mess.

-I really enjoyed this piece on Dlisted’s Michael K and the diluting of celebrity gossip sites as bloggers bring on other writers. (Speaking of celeb sites, this series on what really happened to the Superficial is a fascinating read.)

Danai Gurira, Norman Reedus and Melissa McBride are currently negotiating “groundbreaking multiple-year ‘franchise/universe’ deals” that mean if their characters get written off or moved to another Walking Dead property, they’ll still get paid. It also looks like Gurira will take over as the lead of the show, which makes way more sense than Reedus (unless everything’s changed since I last watched and his character says more than 4 words in every episode).

Ariana Grande‘s exes seem ok with her mentioning them in her breakup song. Pete Davidson reportedly didn’t get an advanced listen, but as soon as he heard it he asked Lorne Michael’s permission to address their relationship on SNL.

-It took way, way too long, but Rebel Wilson has finally apologized for her comments and for blocking people who called her out on it.

-Here’s a clip from Shoplifters — one of the best movies I’ve seen this year.

Matthew Rhys and Jamie Dornan star in the trailer for the new BBC show Death in Nightingales. Please, somebody air this here!

Kanye West Drops Manager, Tweets Trump Support

-It’s not unusual to watch Kanye West tweet batshit stuff, but today seemed a little more out of control than usual. On the heels of multiple stories out of People that he’s had “explosive fights” with Kris Jenner (which she denied) and that he “seems to be on the edge,” Kanye tweeted about dropping manager Scooter Braun —  and then he and Donald Trump engaged in a Twitter lovefest. Kim Kardashian was quick to defend him.

-Meanwhile, Kanye loses 9.2 MILLION followers in less than 10 minutes after posting a photo of him wearing a “Make America Great Again” hat.

-Even Kris seems to have lost control of the narrative. What’s happening?!?

-This interview between Denzel Washington and Michael B Jordan is a delight. (“How old are you?” “31.” “Man, I got underwear older than that.”) Also, I find it super refreshing for a young actor like Jordan to talk about strategy and wanting to break into international markets.

-Four decades later there was an arrest in the Golden State Killer case, which was based on renewed interest in the case thanks to the book written by Michelle McNamara, true crime writer and Patton Oswalt‘s late wife.

Danai Gurira stopped by The Ellen DeGeneres Show to talk Infinity War and shot down talk that an all-female Avengers is in the works. “I think it is a rumor, but the cool thing is that it’s showing there’s this hunger for that type of thing.”

-The Infinity War press tour continues to be a treasure trove of delightfulness. I especially like the interview combo of Letitia Wright, Sebastian Stan and Tom Hiddleston. Letitia taught them how to Milly Rock, and Tom schooled them on the origins of the slang term “stan”.

Allison Mack attempted to recruit several actresses for NXIVM – including Emma Watson and Rashida Jones.

-I missed these photos earlier of Damian Lewis as Rob Ford. I wish I still missed them.

-Despite the backlash, Joss Whedon still thinks his leaked Wonder Woman script was “great.”

Clayne Crawford tried to explain away his Lethal Weapon reprimands. It’s interesting that his costars/crew don’t seem to be piping up to publicly defend or support him, isn’t it? Deadline is even reporting that he and co-lead Damon Wayans have “stopped speaking to each other.

-Man, the more I read about the Universal FanCon fiasco the angrier I get.

-Life imitates art for Kevin Hart in J Cole’s new music video.

-The Ocean 8 cast’s appearance at CinemaCon has me REALLY excited for the upcoming press tour.

-Speaking of CinemaCon, people lost their poo over the trailer for Bradley Cooper‘s A Star Is Born, starring Lady Gaga.

Hank Azaria opened up about the fate of Apu on Colbert: ‘I’m perfectly willing and happy to step aside.’

Alia Shawkat has spoken out in support of the victims who have accused her Arrested Development costar Jeffrey Tambor of sexual harassment on the set of Transparent. “I’m an actor, I worked with him. It’s not about sharing my personal opinion of him…What those victims said needs to be heard just as much.”

-Bless Jezebel for posting all of the Time 100 gala looks in one place.

-Jessica Chastain plays a painter who becomes embroiled in the Lakota peoples’ struggle over the rights to their land in the Woman Walks Ahead trailer.
