–Gal Gadot had a chance to redeem herself. She did not.

–Josh Duhamel says he sent Armie Hammer an email after replacing him in Shotgun Wedding. “I know Armie a little bit, and when I knew I was gonna get the part, I emailed him and said, ‘Listen, I know you are going through it right now, I don’t like to get roles like this and I just wanted to let you know that I am thinking about you and good luck, get through it.'” I wonder if he sent similarly supportive notes to Hammer’s alleged victims?

-I’m surprised NBC agreed to end This Is Us since it seems to be one of the few legitimate network hits left, but good for them for going out on their own terms.

-Yesterday Ellen DeGeneres alluded to cancel culture when she announced her show’s ending, and today she said that the toxic workplace complaints were “orchestrated”. She told the Today Show: “I really didn’t understand it. I still don’t understand it. It was too orchestrated. It was too coordinated. People get picked on, but for four months straight for me. And then for me to read in the press about a toxic work environment, when all I’ve ever heard from every guest that comes on the show is what a happy atmosphere this is and what a happy place this is.” Right, because celebrities guests who pop in for two hours would have similar experiences as fulltime crew members.

-I never thought I’d say this, but the long-delayed Friends reunion special might actually be worth the wait? It will feature guest stars David Beckham, Justin Bieber, BTS, James Corden, Cindy Crawford, Cara Delevingne, Lady Gaga, Kit Harington, Mindy Kaling, Tom Selleck, Reese Witherspoon, Malala Yousafzai and more. BTS alone will make it a ratings monster.

–Jennifer Garner and Édgar Ramírez visited a migrant shelter at the U.S.-Mexico border.

-The Knives Out 2 cast keeps expanding. Yesterday we heard about Janelle Monáe, and today’s addition is Kathryn Hahn (who’s clearly going to be the murderer, ’cause it was Agatha all along).

-I’m assuming Channing Tatum has a social media manager who posted this comment on Jonah Hill‘s post, but it’s hilarious and he should take all the credit.

-I feel like a shirtless Justin Theroux cradling his dog on the cover Esquire is just what the world needs right now, ya know? The whole interview is great but the part that’s making headlines is when he talks about his divorce from Jennifer Aniston: “I would say we’ve remained friends. We don’t talk every day, but we call each other…Like it or not, we didn’t have that dramatic split, and we love each other. I’m sincere when I say that I cherish our friendship. We can not be together and still bring each other joy and friendship. Also, she makes me laugh very, very hard. She’s a hilarious person. It would be a loss if we weren’t in contact, for me personally. And I’d like to think the same for her…I think that when you get good at relationships—and here I am, single—if you love the person the same way you loved them in the relationship, it would behoove you to love them the same way out of the relationship. –Regé-Jean Page’s Bridgerton costar explained his departure from the series. Adjoa Andoh (who plays Lady Danbury) said “We’re following the overriding framework of Julia Quinn’s beautiful novels. There are eight Bridgerton children: one down, seven to go. Season two it’s Anthony Bridgerton so there you are. That’s the arc of the show.”

-The Queen has told members of the royal family to not wear military dress when attending the funeral of Prince Philip.

-Yikes. Vulture has a piece on how Amazon’s Them is “one of the most anti-Black pieces of pop-culture in recent years.”

-The reviews for Kate Winslet‘s new HBO show Mare of Easttown, which debuts this weekend, is getting rave reviews. I’m glad; it feels like we’re in a TV drought.

-Speaking of good-looking TV, here’s the trailer for Amazon Prime’s The Underground Railroad, from Barry Jenkins and based on the Pulitzer Prize-winning novel by Colson Whitehead.

Colton Underwood Comes Out

-Devoutly religious former Bachelor star Colton Underwood sat down for a Good Morning America interview to reveal some big news: “I’m gay. And I came to terms with that earlier this year and have been processing it… I’m the happiest and healthiest I’ve ever been in my life.” He’s recently been the subject of public controversy because of a restraining order filed by his ex-girlfriend Cassie Randolph from the series.

-And surprise, surprise — his major announcement/image rehabilitation is already working. There are reports that he’s landed his own Netflix reality show, with Olympian Gus Kenworthy acting “gay guide.”

–Tom Cruise reportedly wants to do a full, global press tour for Top Gun: Maverick. Pandemic? What pandemic?

–Kyra Sedgwick told Drew Barrymore about going to Tom Cruise’s house once and accidentally causing a scene. “There was this like fireplace mantle and I was looking around and there was this little button underneath the mantle. I was like, ‘Oh what is that little button?’ So I pressed the little button because I thought maybe something interesting will happen. Nothing happened and then I got a little nervous. I was like, ‘Oh nothing happened that doesn’t seem right.’ So I tapped Tom on the shoulder, who was in the middle of a story, and I said, ‘I pressed this button down here.’ And he was like, ‘You pressed that button?’ And I was like, ‘Yeah, I pressed that button.’ And he goes, ‘That’s the panic button.’ And so the cops came, they had to stop the screening, they had to see Tom. I think there were more than like five cop cars, it was something…I didn’t get invited back.”

-Meanwhile, Taylor released a video for her live performance of “Exile” with Bon Iver’s Justin Vernon from the Long Pond Sessions. God, I love that song.

-Meanwhile, Justin Vernon previewed a new song on his Instagram Live which features Taylor. I love that she’s just part of the Big Red Machine family now.

-There’s talk that Prince Andrew is “demanding” to wear his military uniform at Prince Philip’s funeral.

-This Is Us will only have 16 episodes this season instead of the planned 18 due to coronavirus delays. That means there’s only 3 episodes left this season.

–Julianne Moore, Chloé Sevigny, Indya Moore, Charlotte Gainsbourg and Leo Reilly star in a new short film for Saint Laurent.

–Regina King is having the best award season fashion-wise and I’m bummed we don’t get to see these looks on a red carpet.

-Never Have I Ever is coming back to Netflix, and Common has joined the cast.

–Cardi B is calling out “blue check Republicans” who have stayed silent on Daunte Wright, who was shot and killed by a cop who mistook her gun for a taser, and Caron Nazario, an Army officer who was pepper-sprayed by police.

-I’m surprised by how much the new trailer for The Hills makes me want to watch it.

-The F9: The Fast Saga trailer introduces John Cena‘s Jakob as Dom’s long-long brother.
