Allow Heidi Klum’s Awkward Kiss To Cheer You Up

-Why is Heidi Klum‘s boyfriend trying to eat her face at Wimbledon?

-It’s been a rough week. Need some more frivolity?  Let these photos of Prince George lift our spirits.

Mischa Barton has apologized for posting bikini pictures to protest police violence. Swell.

-The only good thing about the recent wave of ridiculous magazine profiles on female celebrities is all the think pieces being written calling them out. So far, this one is my favourite — and not just because the headline is “Stop Jizzing All Over Journalism”.

Lea Michele and Robert Buckley  have already split. Filming on their new sci-fi series just got super awkward.

-Have we gone one day this week without seeing new photos of Hiddleswift? I don’t think we have.

Aubrey Plaza came out as bisexual in a new interview with The Advocate. Why did I think she already did that?

Matthew Rhys and Matthew Goode‘s Wine Show is coming to Hulu. Not ideal for Canadians, but I can work with it.

-Sorry, I refuse to believe that Ansel Elgort‘s new track has a shot at being called the song of the summer. Refuse!

-I’m actually really liking what the CW is doing with their contracts that allow their supporting actors to stretch across multiple shows. Wentworth Miller doesn’t really have enough to do on Legends, and John Barrowman hasn’t had a reason to still be alive on Arrow for at least two seasons now, but they’re too big to let go of completely so this is a good compromise.

Simon Pegg and Zachary Quinto are disappointed in George Takei‘s disappointment about Sulu being gay.

This is why I follow Gina Rodriguez on Snapchat.

Russell Brand is going to be a dad.

-HBO’s limited series The Night Of, which debuts this Sunday, is getting rave reviews.

Emma Watson documented her meeting with the new Hermione, and the photos are delightful.

Cobie Smulders is in a new movie called The Intervention. A) I love this entire cast, and B) Do you think she stole the intervention banner from the HIMYM set?

Mindy Kaling Discusses Her “Weird As Hell” Relationship with BJ Novak

mindy-kaling-instyle

Mindy Kaling looks lovely on the cover of InStyle, in which she talks about her relationship with BJ Novak (“romantically charged camaraderie with loud arguments”) and why she wants kids but maybe not marriage.

Miles Teller rescued a pregnant woman from a rip tide because his heroics extend way beyond making Shailene Woodley seem tolerable.

Anna Kendrick dropped some f-bombs on the Pitch Perfect 2 red carpet, managed to make it adorable.

-God bless The Washington Post for delving deep into the mysterious situation that had two primary Good Wife characters not sharing any scenes for years. I really, really liked Dan Fienberg’s quote in that piece about how manipulative and insulting to the audience Julianna Margulies and Archie Panjabi‘s fake scenes together these past two episodes have been. (And we’re all assuming last night’s was green-screened, right?) I was texting back and forth with Nicole last night during the show and was so angry that the writers expected us to suddenly care about their friendship when they haven’t been on screen together in 50+ eps. Hard pass!

-In any case, critics are tearing apart last night’s season finale. On-set tension or not, that was just bad. And yet, CBS just renewed it.

-Actually CBS basically renewed everythingexcept for Battle Creek and the terrible, terrible Stalker.

-Over on Fox, they announced The X Files revival will premiere in January 2016, American Idol is ending, and Empire has added Chris Rock, Lenny Kravitz and Alicia Keys. Also, Sleepy Hollow is going up against Shondaland on Thursday nights so colour it screwed.

-Meanwhile, NBC unveiled its fall lineup and it’s … not good. Blindspot may have potential, and critics seemed to enjoy the sizzle reels of Eva Longoria‘s Hot and Bothered, and Megan Mullally’s You, Me and the End of the World, but there’s not a lot of buzz for the others. And seriously, how is a “frazzled lady professional” show like Heartbreaker still getting made in 2015?!

Amy Schumer‘s latest skit is about men who want to have sex with beer.

-Are Jake Gyllenhaal and Ruth Wilson still on? Or is he with Rachel McAdams? Don’t fail me, internet!

-Here’s the new Orange Is the New Black trailer.

Henry Cavill is a walking PSA for why stars need stylists.

James McAvoy shaved off his hair. His beautiful, beautiful hair.

-National treasure Colin Hanks made an impassioned plea for more Star Wars merch for girls.

-Critics are loving the new Mad Max movie, which is currently at 100% on Rotten Tomatoes.

-Here’s the trailer for Unexpected starring Cobie Smulders, which got great buzz at Sundance.

Cobie Smulders Reveals Cancer Battle

Cobie Smulders topless

-Bless Cobie Smulders. In her Women’s Health cover story, she revealed that she’s recovering from ovarian cancer — and she was working on HIMYM throughout the whole ordeal.

Shonda Rhimes once again proved she will not tolerate any shit from her actors. After telling the Hollywood Reporter a few months ago that she has a “no Heigls” rule on set, she dropped a major player from Grey’s Anatomy last night — in a totally brutal way. The departure comes after lots of whispers that said actor has become pretty insufferable, and his EW exit interview makes it pretty clear that it wasn’t his decision to leave the show. (Too bad a bunch of EW subscribers received their print edition early this week and read the interview before the show even aired.)

-If three-year-old Blue Ivy really forms sentences like ‘Oh, ya’ll look beautiful. When are ya’ll getting married?’, I may start building a shrine.

Joss Whedon‘s comments on how he put a lot of thought into avoiding scenes of thoughtless mass destruction a la Man of Steel when shooting Avengers: Age of Ultron is promising.

Mark Ruffalo and Scarlett Johansson could give Chris Evans and Jeremy Renner some tips on how to handle sexist questions during the Avengers junket.

-Meanwhile, Chris Evans and Jimmy Fallon played beer pong with their siblings last night.

Carey Mulligan‘s singing can bring a party to a halt— but in a good way!

Chris Pratt’s AMA was predictably adorable.

Gillian Anderson can do so, so much better than Chris Martin. What would he even do with a BAMF like her?

Ben Affleck is chilling in Cape Breton, for some reason.

-Oh, how I wish with my whole being that this story about Leonardo DiCaprio’s Tinder profile is true!

-I might have spent way, way too much brainpower deciding how to vote in Buzzfeed’s “Who Was the Best TV High School Boyfriend?” poll…

-This comprehensive list of everything Karl Lagerfeld hates made my week.

-Even Benedict Cumberbatch can’t make me want to watch a balding Johnny Depp.
