Nicki Minaj Gives Her Friends “Orgasm Interventions”

nicki-minaj-cosmo-orgasm

-In the new CosmoNicki Minaj says “I demand that I climax. I think women should demand that” before going on to talk about how she helped teach her friend how to be more demanding in bed. And this hereby marks the first time I’ve ever wanted to be friends with Nicki Minaj.

Ed Sheeran once dragged Jay Z and Beyonce to his favourite spot in Midtown to cover “Empire State of Mind” for them.  Well shit, now I want to be friends with Ed Sheeran too!

Connie Britton proves yet again that there’s nothing she can’t do — and that includes Hula-Hooping.

-As terrible as the casting of Emma Stone in Aloha was, Cameron Crowe’s statement about it is actually pretty gracious.

-On a recent podcast, comedian Jen Kirkman talked about a famous male comic who has a notoriously bad rep for his treatment of women. Everyone’s assuming she’s talking about Louis CK, but the podcast episode has since been taken down without explanation.

-Here’s the trailer for Caitlyn Jenner‘s new show, I Am Cait.

-Meanwhile, Jon Stewart called out the media for their looks-obsessed coverage of Jenner. “When you were a man, we could talk about your athleticism, your business acumen. But now you’re a woman, and your looks are really the only thing we care about.”

-If you want to maintain your Channing Tatum lady boner, avoid this video of him dressed up in a frumpy disguise and fooling audience members at an advanced Magic Mike XXL screening.

Gabourey Sidibe is writing a memoir? I’ll take 20 copies, please.

Milo Ventimiglia thought it would be funny to take a swipe at the Gilmore Girls in a new web series. He was wrong.

-It looks like we’re getting more Arrested Development, whether we want it or not. The next season will debut in 2016 on Netflix. Here’s hoping the actors’ scheduling works out better this time around so there’s not as much green screened wonkiness.

-Wait, so the Will Ferrell/Kristen Wiig Lifetime movie isn’t dead after all? So was Ferrell’s whole hissy about the media coverage of it fake?

-Jane the Virgin star Jaime Camil‘s Emmy campaign is a thing of beauty!

Chris Evans and his brother Scott tried to cover James Taylor but got distracted by each other’s cuteness.

Dave Matthews spotted one of his band’s bumper stickers on a random car, so he knocked on their window and asked for a nearby bar recommendation. Way to stay on brand, Dave!

Gillian Anderson is imploring fans not to hoard tix to her Broadway show, because she’s the best.

-Meanwhile, The X Files reboot just added Joel McHale to the cast as Mulder’s ally. I like all of those words!

-Here’s the first promo for Stephen Colbert‘s version of the Late Show. Luckily, new Colbert seems a lot like old Colbert.

Jude Law and Jimmy Fallon played a larger-than-life game of pool and things got real awkward.

Jennifer Lawrence shared the first photo from The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2 on her Facebook page.

Mila Kunis can breath easier knowing her escaped stalker has been captured and is back in custody.

Carey Mulligan rocks the vote in the new trailer for Suffragette.

Noah Baumbach and Greta Gerwig have teamed up again with for Mistress America. When this comes out, will someone please remind me how much I despised Frances Ha? kthxbi

-Here’s the final red band trailer for Ted 2.

Jake Gyllenhaal Gets Grumpy in Esquire

Jake Gyllenhaal is so very pretty and laid back looking in Esquire UK’s photo spread. He’s less laid back and more defensive in the accompanying interview, unfortunately. (Though the way the writer makes a big deal over how he pronounces Denis Villeneuve‘s first name — correctly, btw — makes me wonder if he had reason to have his back up.)

-Also in that article, the director of Southpaw says Jake Gyllenhaal broke up with Alyssa Miller so he could focus on learning boxing for the film.

-Eminem’s dropped a new song for the Southpaw movie.

Caitlyn Jenner‘s full Vanity Fair profile is now online, and it’s definitely worth your time. If you don’t have any, here are the most poignant quotes.

-Meanwhile, Vanity Fair pulled a Beyoncé to keep their cover under wraps.

-I only watched the first few episodes of Community this season, but everyone’s raving about the season (probably series) finale that dropped this week (and the season as a whole), so I guess I need to catch up.

Iggy Azalea got engaged to Nick Young (there’s even video) but all anyone can talk about is how her ring looks like the one Meek Mill gave Nicki Minaj.

-Calling Katharine McPhee’s look at the CFDAs as “flavorful as wet bread” might be the best Fug Girls’ diss of all time.

-Speaking of the CFDAs, Kim Kardashian‘s dress caught on fire, and Pharrell and his wife put it out. Sorry, Kim. Caitlyn still trended higher than you.

-It was a night for wardrobe malfunctions at the CFDAs. Chrissy Teigen‘s slit in her dress ripped 5″ higher than it was supposed to be.

-Also, did the CFDAs kick off Julianna Marguliesunspoken apology tour?

Chris Pratt’s Essex accent is so good, even Jude Law was impressed.

-Fox is planning a Prison Break reboot? Who wants that?! (And that’s coming from someone who was a big fan.) But we already have the Wentworth Miller/Dominic Purcell reunion on The Flash. Also, they’re going to be busy in Legends of Tomorrow. And one of them died in the finale! Enough with the reboots, networks. Enough.

-I feel like I’ve already been really mean to Entourage on Twitter today, but the Honest Trailers take on it is too good not to share.

Hayley Atwell called out a magazine for photoshopping her because she’s a unicorn wrapped in a rainbow wrapped in a likability vortex.

Johnny Depp tried not to be an asshole in Australia (for once).

-In totally unsurprising news, Shonda Rhimes just landed a book deal.

Pixar’s The Good Dinosaur already looks so much better than Jurassic World.

Introducing Caitlyn Jenner

bruce-jenner-caitlyn-jenner-vanity-fair

Bruce Jenner has landed on Vanity Fair after the transition news and introduced the world to Caitlyn Jenner in a beautiful cover, photographed by Annie Leibovitz. (She also has a new Twitter account, which smashed Obama’s record as the fastest person ever to reach 1M followers.) I love how the reveal was done in such a classy, refreshingly non-trashy manner (the exact opposite of how that family usually operates). I also love that she could have gone with Kaitlyn, but chose Caitlyn.

-But what I really, really love is that Caitlyn just stole all of Kim Kardashian’s baby news thunder. (Kim really keeps trying, tho.)

Tracy Morgan‘s emotional first interview since his car crash last year is a hard watch.

-Well, this isn’t good: Mila Kunis‘ stalker has escaped a mental institution.

Jaden Smith went to prom with the girl who plays Rue in The Hunger Games. They both wore dresses.

-Wow, Vince Vaughn hid his crazy well.

-I’ve fallen behind on Outlander and the Twitter outrage that exploded last night after the finale convinced me that I’m not going to catch up because I just can’t stomach another brutal depiction of rape on TV this season, but this is a very well-reasoned exploration about the value (or lack of value) of those scenes.

-Speaking of last night’s TV, at least Game of Thrones was less rape-y and more meme-able than usual. It’s *almost* as if the show doesn’t need to rely on sexual violence to have its best episode of the season.

-Also, Danish actress Birgitte Hjort Sørensen was the best thing about last night’s GoT. It wasn’t until the episode ended that I realized she also played the lead singer of the rival group in Pitch Perfect 2.

Ellie Goulding and Lorde partied with Katy Perry. Does Taylor Swift know about this?!

Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Martin were photographed together again, so that’s still happening.

-I couldn’t watch this video of George Clooney dancing at a U2 concert on the off chance that he has dad moves which eradicate all of my fuzzy feelings for him.

-Also, George‘s rep denied his reported comments on baby plans. I’m impressed that they actually managed to pull together a coherent statement instead of just responding with this:

-Did Nicki Minaj just announce her split from Meek Mill on Instagram? That is both cold and awesome.

Mindy Kaling says she’s looking for a new BFF. Sign me up!

-Also, I love her new haircut. (And as potential BFF material, I’m totally willing to give her the honest truth about these sorts of things…)

Jessica Chastain would like to remind you that she’s not in Jurassic World.

Ian Somerhalder apologized (sorta) for that video that came out asking his fans to leave him alone.

Lindsay Lohan has a new situation boyfriend.

-Speaking of the JW press tour, Chris Pratt showed off his awesome early headshots — but Melissa McCarthy has him beat.

-I’m glad to see that the new season of Orange Is the New Black is getting good early reviews.

-In other TV news, UnREAL debuts tonight and Vulture calls it “one of the most aggressively interesting dramas in recent memory.” I really liked the pilot.

-Man, they are just going to run the 50 Shades franchise into the ground, huh?

-I’m not a fan of The Big Bang Theory but this scholarship fund the show just set up is pretty boss.

Tina Fey and Amy Schumer made out at the Peabody Awards last night. (Or, as Tina said, she Madonna’d her.)

-This dog stripping sketch might be the first Amy Schumer bit of the season that I don’t love. But she makes up for it with her wedding objection sketch. The button on that one kills me.

Haley Atwell says the highlight of her life is when she improvised the chest grab she copped with Chris Evans in Captain America, and they kept it in the movie.

-The Critics’ Choice Awards were also last night. Man, imagine if the Emmy nominations read like this list? I also love that the show had gorgeous fan art for the stars to pose in front of.

-A family road trip comedy seems like a weird career turn for Rosamund Pike after Gone Girl, but this is kind of cute.
