Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani Wed

-It’s finally happened: Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani got married on Saturday in a small ceremony at his ranch.

-The biggest news to hit before the weekend was Zendaya and Tom Holland photographed kissing in a car. Part of me thinks the is a PR move (the new Spider-Man trailer is expected to drop any day now). A bigger part of me is too squealy over these photos to care.

Ronan Farrow and Jia Tolentino released their meticulously reported article on Britney Sprears’ conservatorship this weekend. Not a lot of huge shockers (beyond the fact that she called 911 the night before her testimony last month), but it’s a very good view into how some of those around her who initially acted with good intentions are horrified by how much it’s spiraled out of control.

-Also, Britney Spears is accusing the paparazzi of Photoshopping her to look heavier than she actually is for years.

Pete Davidson and Bridgerton’s Phoebe Dynevor made their public debut as a couple at Wimbledon.

Kate Middleton is at home quarantining after being exposed to someone with COVID-19.

I’m embarrassed for those people. I’m embarrassed for Scarlett! I’m sure she got paid five, seven million bucks, but I’m embarrassed for her.” Oh yeah, she’s clearly the embarrassing one here…

-Meanwhile, here’s the latest Black Widow teaser.

Bennifer’s Cozy Dinner

-Either Jennifer Lopez is flashing a super problematic symbol (highly unlikely), she’s giving the paps the ok (slightly more likely) or she’s just grabbing his shoulder awkwardly (most likely) in these pics of her and Ben Affleck packing on the PDA at dinner in Malibu.

-Speaking of reunited couples, Angelina Jolie was spotted leaving ex-husband Jonny Lee Miller’s house.

Chrissy Teigen has returned to the public eye sooner than I expected, but this apology she posted is very good. “I was a troll, full stop. And I am so sorry.”

-There was a Scrubs reunion on Celebrity Family Feud.

-This deep dive into Meghan Markle hate accounts is super disturbing.

-Girls5eva has been renewed for season 2. I really enjoyed the first season. It’s joke density reminded me of 30 Rock (which makes sense, since it’s also produced by Tina Fey).

-Game of Thrones star Emilia Clarke is releasing a three-issue comic book about a woman who gets superpowers when she’s on her period. (Weirdly, one of the characters on the excellent new TV show We Are Lady Parts has a subplot about writing a similar comic.)

-Black Widow tickets are actually on sale. This film might finally see the light of day after all!

-There’s a lot of talk about how In the Heights failed to unseat A Quiet Place II from the top of the box office, but I’m not sure that was ever a realistic expectation.

-Here’s our first look at Netflix’s Persuasion and I really don’t know how we’re supposed to be rooting for Cosmo Jarvis‘ Captain Wentworth when Henry Golding‘s Mr. Elliot is right there.

-Here’s the first trailer for the new season of The Morning Show. At least they let Reese Witherspoon ditch her terrible wig.

Kim Kardashian’s Island Getaway Sparks Anger

Kim Kardashian announced on Twitter that she celebrated her 40th birthday by bringing her friends and family to a private island, because she’s rich enough to have access to rapid testing and dumb enough to not understand how tone-deaf it is to rub everyone’s faces in it. Twitter was quick to react with lots of snarky memes.

-Speaking of covid testing, Stephen Amell announced on a podcast that he had to take three weeks off shooting his new Starz wrestling series after he recently tested positive. He talked a lot about how safe he’d been, but as someone who follows him and a bunch of his friends on social media, I wasn’t seeing that. He was having parties in the thick of it, he flew to Canada for weeks, and just yesterday he posted a pic with some new cast members that immediately made me think “there’s too many people in your house.”
